Hello everyone, I will present my problem:
My custom ROM is almost complete but I have a small problem to change my theme, for example I took the theme ICE CREAM SANDWICH THEME of the lien xda here
And I'd like to change, for example change the lockscreen to jkay because I do not like the slide "to the glass" and change lots of other little details.
Returning to my concerns, I modify the framework-res.apk and I stuck the slide files in the folder res / drawable-hdpi then I recompile apk file and I put on my custom rom flash and I .
The problem is that my phone boot and when I come home on it continuously reboot.
If you have an idea I'm listening at the moment my rom is made and works perfectly I do not like is the slide of the lockscreen ...
Goto cwm recovery, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache.
Download a theme from jkay thread.
In cwm, under mounts and storage, you can mount usb storage. Connect phone to your pc, copy the theme zip you downloaded to, and flash.

You mean you don't like the sliders that does un-locking and other stuffs?
In deluxe settings, choose jKay Glass Deluxe instead of jKay aosp Deluxe.
Then Under Lockscreen wallpaper, choose Transparent or Lockscreen.

Most probably yes. If you had a backup of your ROM, flash that. Or else, go to CWM, wipe data, system, dalvik-cache and re-flash the ROM again. Then, reinstall your apps. Please not that IT IS WISE to backup your ROM before you do any tinkering with the system files or data files.
so i have just finished flashing through odin the latest version of siyah so as to get root+ cwm, i was hoping to get the classic CWM touch but instead i got a CWM-based recovery, is it still the same ? will it work as intended when flashing roms and all ? thanks.

Thanks joseky for ur reply, im experiencing one problem tho, i have just flashed cm9 stable to my galaxy s2 and i must admit i am pretty happy with it. However, lots of apps seem to be missing (like google play for example, i cant download any app)
any idea what could be going wrong ?
Oh and before i installed cm9 i wiped data/factory reset, i cant see any of my old applications now, but i can still see folders on my internal sd card that are called whatsapp, 9 gag, etc.
what should i do to remove ALL apps and start installing them from scratch ?

You were suppose to download and flash Gapps.
Visit CM9 thread again, you need to download Gapps (Google apps)
1. Download Gapps,
2. Boot to CWM recovery
3. Flash Gapps
4. Reboot phone
Problem solved!

Thanks ! oh and I want to start installing applications from scratch, i thought that doing a wipe data/factory reset would delete all directories from my past applications, but i can still see folders of my old apps such as whatsapp or 9gag or winamp on my internal memory, how can i delete them all ? Thanks ! i cannot see them on the app drawer though

## be very careful, some of the folders contain very important things from your previous activities.
1. Your download folder contains all your downloads from your browser
2. Your whatsapp folder contains your chat history
Etc.
Before you wipe your internal SD, I'll advise you to backup the ones you feel are important.
## To format your internal storage, follow these steps:
- Goto Settings - Storage,
- under your internal storage (size = 11.49G), Select ERASE SD
- confirm your action.
Done

Great, I erased my sd card and problem solved, flashed gapps and got everything ...
Some questions which have nothing to do with this:
1) How can i get touch recovery ? just open up rom manager and tap "flash clockwork mod recovery touch"? or is there another better way to do this ?
2) Is there any way so that when i get a SMS or a missed call, something will notify me on the screen that i have a new sms or missed call ? (i had this on stock ics, but when i flashed cm9 it just dissappeared.). Reason i need this: Sometimes i dont hear my ringtone and it is kind of annoying to have to unlock and bring down the notification bar just to check if i have something new.
Thanks, Currently on a Gt-I9100 running cm9 stable

1. Never use ROM manager on your phone. In fact, Disable or Remove the app at once. It is a very risky app, which has led to brick on many Galaxy S2 already.
# If you want touch recovery, you can flash Siyah kernel, Dorimanx kernel or Dream kernel. they all come with touch recovery.
2. Use a third party launcher. The default launcher (Trebuchet) lack this feature.
Holo launcher HD, Apex launcher Nova launcher, Go launcher EX, etc all have this function implemented

Thanks for the tip of uninstalling rom manager from my device !
1) cant i just download the cwm touch from here: http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager and just flash it through my current non-touch CWM ?
2) I thought such a simple feature was integrated onto the rom but ok, i'll try those options.
oh and is there anyway to go back to my stock ics keyboard ? the buttons and letters are kind of small on cm9.
thanks
Thanks

1.
You may use that. It should work fine but I must tell you that I've never used that method before. I always use custom kernels
2.a. that's because the launcher in development by the CM team.
b. If you are looking for Samsung keyboard, You can't have. Sorry about that but there are better keyboard apps in the market with some of them having the option to change the theme to the Samsung keyboard style.

Did you flash a theme zip to get the statusbar background transparent in the first place? If that was the chase see if the thread you downloaded the theme zip from has a zip for removing the transparency and restoring your old status bar. Another possible workaround would be to install Omega StatusBar. The other option I would suggest is to backup all your apps, sms, pictures, etc. and preform a factory reset, and wipe cache, this should restore your ROM to the way it originally looked before you made the statusbar transparent.
I have an HTC Desire GSM running MildWild CM 8.0.
Until recently I had no problems, everything was working fine, but then when messing around with my homescreen and launcher (nothing major, just changing layouts) I realised my status bar had gone and couldn't find any way to get it back.
Here's the strange part though - I'd recently taken a nandroid backup, when I know the status bar was there, so I restored to that and the status bar was still missing.
Then, as a last resort, I backed up all my apps with Titanium Backup, wiped all partitions and reinstalled the ROM. The status bar is still missing.
I figure it must be to do with something on my sdcard since everything else is fresh, but for the life of me can't figure it out.
Any ideas?
Have you tried a different rom then gone back to your current one?
It sounds like the SystemUI.apk in your /system/app partition is corrupt.
