it is not cracked but with custom exec tool you can replace kernel with it
i already did it but it gives a ****load of bugs but working on it
yes thats correct you can use kexec tool to boot a new kernel on the fly. but its always full of unexpected bugs
owain you can look in the sony ericsson kernel for the bootflags the zimage will use. and maybe use this as your rootdevice=blablablafromzimage or make a custom image on the sd card but new kernel will need mmc support compiled into it.

as someone say it, custom kernel on the fly is now possible (that was the progress for bootloader), and that mean developers can do somethis similar to the temporal CFW for the PSP 3XXX used for 3 years!, now is permament CFW

i use SE as base otherwise we don't see a kernel for 2 years xD
Very true its a pain in the ass to port specfic drivers to new kernels and it eats a lot of time!

i agree but i think dev can edit, patch or hack the original SE kernel for diferrent results, for example load more modules or drivers
Take a look at this!

No it cannot be flashed as of yet because of CWM version. Eyama is in the process of porting 4.x.x to our mimmi and i guess robyn too as they cant be much different.

Well they havent yet and eyama said today he was doing it, so i guess the race is on. And what is really stupid is that they release the rom before the rec to actually install it, whats with that. Sorry my rant for the day.
Cheers,
Evil.

The FXP kernel already contains what you need in order to flash the CM ROM.
This isn't Formula 1 btw.

There you go, someone always corrects if you are wrong, thanks. Yeah i know its not but its late and i couldnt think of a better way of saying that.
So we need to extract the kernel from zip or is there a link posted in the FXP thread, sorry i havent had a look yet?
Cheers,
Evil.
The main problem is for mini pro cause kernel is unflashable.
Hi nAa, it's been a long time since you released an update. What's up? Are you working on a new kernel (2.6.35 or something )! Can we expect a new update sometime soon?

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks man! so isnt gonna be a new kernel update yet?
what Gapps we should flash? because the apps you suggest in your thread are differente from the cyanogenmod forums
guys I tried the Official Cyanogenmod 7.1 for my mini ( http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/32778-cyanogenmod-7-for-the-xperia-x10-mini-v710-11-oct-2011/ )
If you want to try it flash FXP kernel first.
Still the official cyanogenmod still has issues.. for example no 5mp camera, only 640x480.
Back to MiniCM7
+emmanuel, is it better than MiniCM7 in any way?

MiniCM7 is blazingly fast especially the latest release, but I think it's too early to tell that cyanogenmod is not good. In the future cyanogenmod will surely be better than MiniCM7 with full support from cyanogenmod team.
Also.. cyanogenmod has Android 2.3.7 but for now I recommend you staying with MiniCM7.. I am sure there are bugs present in CyanogenMod such as camera still 640x480.
but it's worth a try like I did

if I'm correct, jit is already installed in minicm7. Just enable or disable it in cm settings > performance. You don't need to do anything else

Sorry for my english...
Does anyone have the original wolfbreak rom that came out when gb was released for our x10?
.
Actually I have tried almost every rom out there including jelly bean roms
None of them are smooth though
Even if they are,at some point of time they tend to become laggy
Only the original WB rom was smooth for me no matter what I threw at it
.
So plz can anyone share with me the original WB rom with additional addons if any?
& instructions as well on how to install just to be on the safe side
.
Would really appreciate the help
.

Hi, here you can find Wolfbreak's rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192988. Everything you need is in the thread - how to install, requirements, hotfixes, etc...
Basically, for installation of the rom you'll need any rom that uses xRecovery, Flashtool that can be found here http://androxyde.github.com/index.html?1356886877000 and two files that you can find in the first link.

Hey, Guys,
So I wanted to speed up my Sola because sometimes it's laggy especially when I'm in the browser. I tested many browsers and I think it's the Ram why my Sola starts crashing or freezing sometimes. My last Custom Rom was Ultimate Sola, but now I'm on the Stock Rom. I hope you can tell me some Rom or App how I can have more Ram and be faster/smoother. There are so many Roms and I don't know which one of them is the best for me. I don't need anything other things like Walkman, or Notification Bar or Bootscreen because I installed already a few on my stock rom. Just a good Rom which helps my Sola to get smooth and without any crashings or freezings. (Just one question: Does the new Custom Rom erases all my installed things like a new bootscreen, Notification Bar etc.?)
Sorry for my bad English, hopefully you can help me anyway, :highfive:

Yes.
What is the difference between Kernel and Rom? It can also have a longer battery.
Other Suggestions are also recommended

Kernel:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_kernel
in short....system core.
Rom - whole operating OS, with UI, system libraries and other stuff, also contains kernel but later you can flash other compatible kernel (there is compatibility requirment between ROM and Kernel).
Okay, the author of the kernel says, I need an unlocked Bootloader. I don't know which i have. I have the one you have on the Ultimate Sola Rom with the recovery Menu. Can you say me which one i got and where the difference is?
And what is the difference between Stock and CM ? Is CM Cynageon Mod?

Yes cm is cyanogenmod and is for unlocked bootloader, but you can use atis patch for locked bootloader i think. Im using stock, debloated and sliding kernel. The kernel did a huge performance difference and battery life. Very good combination...

Well there are guides for noobs, just search for them... I recommend using enwmo's kernel and the gx gaming rom(the one i am using)
Cyanogen is also a good idea, but some mods do not work on it... If u are fine with that then go ahead and flash it is the best

This is sliding kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204050
but is only for unlocked bootloader...
Performance is flawless, no lags on phone...There is quide in the OP in the thread so read, decide and enjoy.

Yes thank you, i know, but is there a method how it works without an unlocked bootloader? I only rooted my device....
Do all Kernels must have a unlocked Bootloader?
If I can't use it because of the unlocked bootloader, can you say me other Roms/Kernerl which doesn't need an unlocked Bootloader?
EDIT: Does the kernel works with this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2134440 ?
Let's make something clear: there is no way that u can flash a kernel without unlocked bootloader... But u CAN flash certain roms with locked bootloader
Sent from my brain which is in Bahamas
