[Q] CleanRom 2.7 & Insufficient Space for Market Download - HTC EVO 3D

Short Question:
How do I fix the "Error while downloading (app name). There is insufficient space on the device." with CleanRom 2.7
Long Question/Explanation:
Okay, so I just got my EVO 3D on Sprint yesterday and I rooted (Revolutionary) and installed the CleanRom 2.7. I am having issues downloading apps from the market. When I go to install I get the error "Error while downloading (app name). There is insufficient space on the device." I was wondering if there's a working/confirmed way to fix this permanently. I can clear the market Cache and Data and then download, but I have plenty of space to download in the first place. I'm sure this has already been discussed but I did a search and didn't see anything. I had the error first with Angry Birds and so I went into the storage setting and ran the "Make More Space" option. Then I was able to download Angry Birds, after that I went to download Twitter and got the same error, went directly to the Market under manage apps and cleared the cache and deleted the data. At which point I was able to install Twitter. If anyone knows how to fix this error it would be greatly appreciated. And again, sorry if this has already been posted.

If you're sure you have space on the /data partition, maybe these applications are attempting to install on your sdcard. Does your /sdcard also have sufficient space?
Simple method to check: Settings -> SD & phone storage .. this will list SD card available space and Internal storage available space.
Hope that helps!

Reboot to recovery and wipe dalvik and cache, again.
Also try going to settings/apps/manage apps/market and clear all data and cache.

It could also be the Google Backup/Restore feature. I found that every time I flashed a new ROM, no matter which one it was, and if I signed into my Google account while doing the initial setup on the ROM, it would automatically start restoring my apps from the Google servers. I would then be hit with the insufficient space error whenever I'd try to install a new app.
What I did to fix that issue was after flashing the new ROM, instead of entering in all my account info during setup, I would just skip everything, and get to my home screen. Then hit Menu -> Settings -> Privacy, and make sure the backup, and restore boxes are unchecked.
You can then go into Menu -> Settings -> Accounts & Sync, and then add your Google account and any other accounts you want to sync.
That made the issue go away for me. Hope it helps you too.

Insufficient space on device

I'm currently running virus rom and tried to flash supra 1.5 and a different rom can't remember the name of it at the moment but when i went through the set up in the very beginning of boot it automatically downloads a few of my apps then i get a huge list of error downloading apps. Insufficient space on device. However i have 1gb of free space available.. any ideas of why?

I have no idea why that happens and it happened to me when I flashed Viper mod. I seemed to fix it by clearing the market cache from manage applications and running the market again.
Thanks dud ill try that

No problem. I was in the same situation and i though i couldn't install anymore apps.
Yeah as noted above when you first setup your google account it will attempt to restore apps and it will download all of them to dalvic cache, once it's full you'll get that error until the caches are wiped. As demo27 stated that you can do this by:
A: Wiping Dalvik
B: Clearing Market Data
I prefer wiping dalvik since when flashing anything you should always clear Dalvik and Cache
I've been looking for the answer to this problem most of the day glad I found it! It worked after clearing the cache/data from market under manage applications!
Thanks!

[Q] Market says: Insufficient Space

So here's my problem, when i try to install a huge app trought the market i got the message "Error [...] insufficient space on the device" or something like that.
I tried the EVS Market fix app, Cache Cleaner, wiping cache and dalvik-cache, but when i try to install for example "Where's my watter"(22MB) i got the error.
But this only happens with huge app, i can install any other app, i tried one of 4MB and worked fine.
I'm using Link2SD, partitioned SD card, and i got 110MB of free space on my internal memory.
And the ROM i'm using is on my signature.
Thanks in advance.
Its not abt ur internal memory...its the prob with cache..

I had the same problem too..From what i remember, you should force close it,wipe data, wipe cache. It might solve the problem, its a bug with that market version.I searched a lot at the time i had this problem and i figured this from google forums itself
wipe your cache partition

I had that same problem a while ago. I saw that wiping data and cache of market app solves the problem for a while but after a couple of days it would come back again. I did some research and found(cant put url in here): search in market for MarketFix from Felipe Aron.
It worked for me. Hope that helps you.

please press THANKS button if i helped
I already tried wiping the caches, i'll try this MarketFix from Felipe Aron, and maybe someone has the link for the market app from stock rom?
i faced the problem b4! i have no choice but to chg to another custom rom.. ><
Unistall updates
Once I faced this problem too, I uninstalled the updates and got older version of market it worked fine and it got updated again and I never had the problem again
Just clear the Market cache. Don't do any other unnecessary steps.
Already tried that @SuperAce609 and didnt worked.
Ha, it's funny...
I am having the same problem and am running Grif's CM7.1.
I have tried uninstalling the Market updates and clearing it's cache and data (didn't help)
I have tried wiping Delvik Cache from CMR and no dice there either.
Tried the Market Fix app from the market and no fix there either.
I am thinking about starting fresh and re flashing.
Any body else have any other thoughts?
You have the same issue? Only with large app's?

Yeah dude, I am having exactly the same issue. I can install smaller programs, but I just tried installing Where's my Water and I get an error saying that there is insufficient space on the device.
I still haven't figured it out yet and I think I may have eff'ed up my Android Market in the process. I uninstalled updates and tried to download Where's my Water again and while that didn't work, my market is no longer updated even after I took the freeze off.
I am getting very frustrate.
If no solution, I am going to reflash and see if I still have this problem (but going to do it on the weekend).

Google Play (Market) Error: 923 and Insufficient Space

Recently did a factory reset, then rooted and unlocked.
Since then I'm getting errors downloading apps. This seems to occur only over the wireless connection, not over Wifi. I have verified that I can access the SD-card and external SD-card. have plenty of available storage space (per Settings/Storage): 2.58 GB app, 8.43 GB internal, 29.06GB SD card. Also have a good data connection per browser/weather app use!
These are the two errors I am seeing when trying to download apps from Google Play:
"App xyz" could not be downloaded due to an error. (923)
Error downloading "App xyz". There is insufficient space on the device.
Searched to find a fix, but couldn't find a good answer. Can anyone help me?
I would flash Th3bill's full wipe @ http://www.jokersax.com/developer-pages/th3bill/809-2/ then flash your rom.
if that doesn't work, you'll have to go back to stock sbf and see if that fixed it. if OK, root... if OK, unlock. an incremental way to isolate the issue.

Dont do a full wipe just yet... Just go to settings, manage apps, click on play store, click clear data, then reboot. This will probably fix it.

I appreciate your the help!!

1. under settings/apps go to google store.
2. cache and data reset.
3. update deinstall, and akzept reset to google store basic version !
4. delete googlemail account under accounts&syncronisation.
5. go to google store app, insert googlemail account new.
google store meanwhile has updated to newest version and will keep runing fine again now ! :good:
This can sometimes happen after a fresh install and gapps tries to throw every update it has logged for you at the phone. just retry after installing what sticks. usually sorts it. many phones have this issue

This helped me after using CF- Autoroot by Chainfire, on my nexus 5. Thanks man!
Possible solution
I've ran into error 923 in Google Play.
None of the above worked, and I finally managed to fix it by deleting /data/core/zcore*.zip files (2.5GB in total).
By the looks of permissions on those files, some files could be deleted without root, but not all of them.
this video fixed the problem for me.. while it's "kind of a long video" for the 2 easy steps.. it's just the 2 steps.. 'clear cache' (not sure that helped, really?)
but the 2nd step did help.. I rolled back google play to a 'older'-orginal version.. and that fixed it

com.android.phone has stopped - My Solution
I've had this while showing my friend my new ROM & Recovery install.
Philz Touch had just turned itself into standard 6.0.4.5 so I re-zipped it ... WRONG!!!
First I got "Unfortunately .... com.android.phone" message, so I cleared the caches, factory reset (forgot to format system cache - but hey!) THEN reflashed the ROM (Paranoid Android 4.4.3 RC1) and the GApps (PA-Mini)
THEN I started getting "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped".
Hmmm ... So I started thinking "Media huh?"
Went into recovery and mounted the SDCard0 and SDCard1.
Aaannd ... she's working again.
Of course, now I'm waiting while all my Apps reload (Good old Google Sync :good: ), then Contacts etc.
But at least I got the damn thing back to working. :fingers-crossed:
Moral of the story "Don't mess with it if it ain't broke!"
p.s.
Someone who knows what they're doing will probably post a simpler method ...

How can I repair or reinstall Google Services Framework?

Hey guys!
After having some issues with the Netflix app of all the things, followed by low memory, Link2SD and a boot loop (which probably was cause by low memory) I managed to make the phone boot up again by diving into recovery (some CWM version by AlphaRev) and then wiping out cache data. When the phone finally booted up, which took unusually long time, I was missing a lot of apps and got some app crash warnings.
One of the missing apps was the Link2SD itself, and as a consequence (I guess), many of the other apps were missing for this reason (at least those that were linked to the SD card as opposed to installed there by default).
One of the warnings that popped up was one about Google Services Framework.

There were several different app crashes in a row, like on a production line. I was unable to see the names of them all.
I went into app management, cleared caches and uninstalled several apps. I rebooted, booted up (slowly again), I got back some of the app icons that were missing (which is weird) and I was able to launch them. But some apps were still missing, among them Link2SD.
I grabbed an APK file for some older version of Link2SD on my computer, plugged in the phone, launched a command prompt and tried installing it with ADB. It reported insufficient storage space. I checked it and it said like 1.80 MB free internal memory. So I uninstalled some more apps and tried again and it was a success.
After installing Link2SD I launched it and then chose to clean up Dalvik cache, clean up 2nd partition, and then "relink library files". I tried the "recreate mount scripts" but it kept on failing.
Mount script cannot be created. failed
