I recommend to flash a stock/official ROM to your phone.
Then root will be lost.
You can download Official ROMs from SamMobile, but you will need to register before.
Or you can have a look into Intratech's Offical Firmware thread here => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Please read his first post carefully.
Then decide which ROM to flash.
As you want to bring it back to "normal", you should use a ROM from the second post "Official Firmwares".
Just flash the ROM using Odin - like described by Intratech.
Nothing special.
Maybe you want to wipe everything to go back to factory settings.
Then you should do a hard reset after flashing by dialing *2767*3855# into your phone's dial pad.
But you can alternatively do a factory reset in recovery mode - also after flashing the stock ROM.
Good luck !
Hey mate thanks for the reply, i backed up my original rom using rom manager flashed back to it....but i still have root and i want to remove it. Can i just flash the insecure kernel and using super one click do the job???/.....NOTE I HAVE clock work mod recovery flashed already........

I must humbly ask for everyone's help. I bought a Galaxy S3 (Sprint) today and rooted no problem. I downloaded font changer and Rom Toolkit. I changed a font and clicked "reboot" and the phone hung on the reboot screen--after the sprint logo and says "Samsung" with the blue light going up and down in intensity.
I tried a cache clear and data wipe, neither of those worked. I also tied reflashing the root ROM. That didn't work.
My most recent steps were to flash the stock recovery and stock ROM. It still hangs. I can get to recovery and am able to flash with ODIN. What should I do next?!
If nothing else, is there a way to reset the flash counter so I can maybe get Sprint to fix it? The only way I saw is to download an app, which won't work.
Any help is appreciated, I've tried all that I could think of.
UPDATE: Maybe there is no ROM installed anymore? I'm downloading the full Omega ROM. Anyone have a link to the sprint stock rom?

My only suggestion is to do a full wipe again (not just cache mind you) and then install the latest ROM for a Sprint phone one more time. Did you not do a nandroid backup that you could restore? Always do a nandroid backup before messing with any part of the phone for this very reason. I'm not harping. I'm just saying in the future it will save you from this issue.
P.S. This is the International thread. You better not be flashing your Sprint S3 with an International S3's ROM. That's a big no-no...
UPDATE:
*sigh*
Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 Android Development Thread
Omega doesn't have a ROM for the Sprint version. You need to pay more attention before flashing your ROM's. Get a ROM from the above link, and never do anything without doing a nandroid backup first. Seriously.
I think I'm screwed
I reinstalled the Sprint software twice before I tried the other rom. Nothing worked. The Omega rom has me completely bricked.
I ordered a jig to see if that helps and will take it to a cell phone store in town (not factory) to see if they can get it into download mode. I have the sprint .tar bootloader thanks to this forum.
This was my first root and I never heard of the nandroid backup. I hope I can fix this for a $100 bucks and it isn't a $1000 mistake.

1. Do you currently have the stock recovery or a custom recovery (e.g. CWM)? If you have stock recovery go to question 2, otherwise go to question 4.
2. Are you able to flash custom recovery via appropriate steps? If yes go to question 3, otherwise I think you're screwed.
3. Flash custom recovery.
4. In custom recovery do a full wipe.
5. Download THIS ROM to your SD Card and then flash in recovery.
6. See if the issue is resolved. If the issue is resolved that's fantastic. If the issue is not resolved then I'm pretty sure you're screwed.
Thanks
Thanks for that! Tomorrow I'm taking it to a custom cell phone repair/unlock store to see if they have a jig. If they do I'll try these steps, if not we'll see if my carrier is understanding...
I think moderator in development section should make compulsory to any developers make very big warning to anyone who read development thread. Many case carrier based phone come here to ask and flash ROM.

The developers can't make it any more clear. The user is already clicking on Samsung Galaxy S III I9300. That isn't the phone they have. The developers can't be held responsible for users that refuse to read.
ive done the same exact thing and need to figure out how to fix it!!! did you find a cure for it yet?

What I am doing is downloading either of the Zips and installing the latest gapps. You should go to the ROM thread for better support on this ROM by the pershoot himself or other users of this ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1787399
Installations of all ROMs are generally the same. Make sure you have CWM and I believe you need a minimum of 5.5.0.4 to flash these ROMs. After that it is as easy as booting to CWM and picking the Zips.
Hope this helps.
The ROM size is small because GApps isn't included. That adds roughly 90MB to the overall size.
Not sure about 3G...I have a WiFi tablet but there should be plenty of info in the OP and responses to answer that q for you.
On top of a full wipe, consider backing up apps so you can restore them after you're done.
If you do a full wipe from recovery you shouldn't have a problem installing any custom ROM from my experience.
You can always flash back to stock if you're not happy. Just remember that you're doing a complete wipe of everything including recovery when you flash stock firmware. You'll have to start over with flashing recovery/rooting/etc if you intend to do custom stuff again later on.
And finally...if you're rooted, your warranty is already void. Flashing back to stock and then putting back stock recovery gets you back to factory fresh with the exception of the binary counter, to my understanding. I have no idea if you can fix that off the top of my head and am not worried about it much myself at this point...browse around and see what you can find on the subject, especially if you have to return the tab for servicing etc.
Hope this helps!

1) you should take the 20120816
2) 3g is working fine
3) first: make a nandroid backup via cwm. 2nd: factory reset (wipe data/cache) and wiping dalvik
4) install the cwm found on droidbasement (from where you get the rom) via Odin - the you can flash this rom
5) yes you can
6) if you brick your tab and will be able to flash back to stock, you might get warranty. If you can't go back, you might get no warranty.
I'm you sing the 20120816 on my gt-p7501 (nearly same specs as 7500). everything works fine. only front camera doesn't work.
In the past I had send my tab to my local service center because of a defect with the display. Before I had flashed back to stock, and I had no problems with the warranty.

So Im probably ging o get flamed for this......but here goes.
I have searched and searched, ive put bits and pieces together, but still missing components,
So for some reason MY phone is not recognized on ANY PC, My phone with charge, but not recognizable. Yes I installed samsung drivers, fooled with phon usb settings, tied rebooting phone, removing battery, flashing other roms, no luck.
Currently Running the most recent version of the following ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1676086
So to send my phone back to samsung(got them to agree to give me a free Galaxy S3), I need to do a full restore, however, I cannot find a way to flash to stock without Odin.
I have this theory, I want feed back to see if its possible.
1. Flash a stock ICS 4.0.3 ROM Back onto my phone via CWM\TWRP
2. Flash stock kernel
3. Reset flash counter
4. Push stock recovery though Terminal Emulator (heard this was possible but no experience)
5. Of course a full factory wipe\format.
Please if you think this can work and can help in any way please do.

If this is the link you are refering to, then please specifically point out the full sock recovery without using ODIN viaUSB cable.

If you have CWM you can flash a stock gb or ics rom and modem easily enough. That gets you 75% of your goal. I think you can flash 3e recovery too with CWM.
To unroot maybe flash an unrooted rom like the original ULF6 as your first step.
For warranty return several have mentioned they didn't unroot and were able to send in phone and didn't get any charges.
P.S. this topic was covered in a thread about two weeks ago. Perhaps a google search will locate it for you to get all the links and details.
I sent in a rooted note directly to samsung and they didnt charge me for it. All i did was factory data reset and flash the stock rom. Oh yeah and i reset my flash counter
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
The answer is no ...
You cannot fully recover to stock , unless you can find a factory GB or ICS rom, in a flashable form ..
But....for warranty purposes you don't need to ...
Just download a stock rooted rom to the device ...along with the flashable stock recovery and counter reset file.
It isn't perfect ...but close enough.
And try a few different roms ...as they may fix your connection issues.
I'm thinking you have a USB driver issue ....g
I didn't think you could either but take a look here.

They won't care. Its going into the pile to be reflashed, boxed and sold as a refurb. No sweat off their back.

Thanks for the help all, I Think its possible, will post results.
If you flash a stock rom then flash a stock recovery then delete all your apps, the only way they would know is to install a root check app, and I just don't think they would. Also, your rom and root habits didn't break the usb hardware.
I am a bit of a noob but I have rooted my sprint note 3 which came out successful. I have rooted my galaxy s3 before in the past and flashed many roms without any issues.
Once I rooted my note 3 I ran the stock rom for a week and then decided to kick it up a notch and flashed the bonsai rom, which worked fine until i discovered the camera didn't work. Before I flashed the bonsai rom, I did a backup of the stock rom via cwm. Once I figured out the camera didn't work with the bonsai rom, I reset and wiped the data for my phone and tried to restore the stock rom which i figured it was a boo boo because I got stuck in a bootloop so I reflashed the bonsai rom back on my phone until I got back home to my pc. At that point, I decided to unroot and return the phone back to stock. I used odin and followed unrooting instructions to a tee and I had an official stock firmware, but odin failed and I think I may have soft bricked my phone. In a panic, I downloaded a "rooted stock" rom and flashed that...after a few bootloops, I updated my cwm recovery and superuser app...and my phone has been working fine every since (whew). I really want to unroot, then re-root and just run the stock rom without flashing any more custom roms, however I am afraid of bricking it again.
I have the stock official firmware N900PVPUBMJ4_N900PSPTBMJ4_N900PVPUBMJ4_HOME.tar.md 5 which to my understanding is android 4.3. I do understand that 4.4 is out. I was wondering is it ok to flash the 4.3 using odin to return my phone back to stock?? I've been spooked ever since my soft brick encounter. Any info will be helpful. Btw, sorry for the long story. I figured I should give all the details. That would help me get to the bottom of it all
Thanks in Advance!

Depends on what version you are running, but sounds like you are on mj4 still... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2657828 this one is mj4 (4.3), if you are on 4.4 you need to go to the Android development forum and use whatever version you are on, just look for rwilcos one click.

So I used king root to root my Samsung SM-S820L and then ( I'm not really sure what happened) I think I tried to install a custom rom. The rom messed up so now I can't even enter recovery and Kies didn't work either. I'm about to do my last save attemp before I take it to Best Buy but I'm going to use Odin to flash stock android on to the phone then factory reset it. Is this a good idea or should I take it to Best Buy or other tech service now?

That's the thing. My model is kinda rare so I couldn't find the exact stock rom. I found one (same phone) very similar. My question is, after I flash the ROM will I be able to set the phone back to the factory original or just back to the ROM?
