bro it doesnt depend on wat u want......it depend on for wat frequency ur ace is stable........different aces have different stable frequencies i suggest u shuld find urs by checking diff max cpu frequencies in cyanogenmod settings.....
there is a kernel for CM7 in android devlopment section, go and check it the cpu up to 1036 mghz, but no phone for the moment can rich this frequency
Actually i dont know if anyone was succeded to get more than 960 mghz I get 960 mhz but only on perfomencr governor it freez when i try the one demand
I think this processor titled "Turbo 800Mhz" is already overclocked and it is in its limit. I sold out my ace, bye bye ace.

Well, i think Ace is more than acceptable phone, but it is very limited in almost hardware issues: 320x480, AR6000 poorly supported, 800Mhz is ok depite of diffcult overclocked, and RAM is very adjusted. I think if ace were better in a one of these issues, ace would be really very good. Greets.
Oh! I thought there is a OC Kernel ...
Max Frequency in Cyanogen Settings Overclocking Max is 800

i searched many forums about is it possible to oc msm7227-1 turbo to 1GHz with stability but i was unable to find strong answer ..
my question is :
1. is msm7227-1 turbo or msm7227T is different from msm7227 ? i know they are but is turbo one is overclocked by factory or not?
2.is it possible to overclock msm7227T to 1GHz in near future with stability? because its predecessor msm7227 which 600MHz by stock can be oc to 750-800Mhz
is it possible to msm7227T to oc or its only be oc to 864-921MHz??
please reply i m searching over days here but i didnt get the answer...
i want to buy optimus net and want to sell my one month old o1...is it a good deal?? please reply asap waiting..

Recently ketut hv developed an OC kernel for ace. D highest stable frequency is btween 944 - 921Mhz. U can try it.

It's not overclocked .
It is rather tweaked in terms of hardware to make it able to run at higher frequencies. Then it was released with the different name of "Turbo".

I don't see what the need to overclock the phone is? Are you trying to run Call Of Duty on it? Ketut's OC kernel will take you to just over 900mhz. Any higher and your device will reboot.
If your SGA is slow, chances are you need to free up a little more RAM. Not everything is attributed to the CPU speed.
All it'll do is give you slightly better benchmark scores (who cares) and sap your battery quicker.
Hope that didn't sound too condescending btw =S

U can see something HERE as well... And I didn't say trollin cause of you... I said it cause the one who said he's "stable" at 960 ... BS!
998MHz with CM7 and 902MHz with CF-Root 3.7-b83. Strangely the CPU performance is better with a clock speed of 902 according to Quadrant Advanced.
mine runs stable on any rom with blackhawk kernel. clocked at 902mhz. but drains battery way to fast for it to be at 902 constant. i find that i underclock when im not playing with it.

it's releated to the kernel you're using

i agree to unicycler,.. it really depends on your kernel.. some kernel can OC more than 768 but its not stable and will cause a kernel panic then your phone will reboot

Just use another kernel or ROM... Each kernel will also give you different governors! ROM PerfectPeso2.2
I use franco kernel 4# with nightly foure. I can overclock only 748 Mhx
It depends on cpu also some can oc 710 and some can oc up to 806

overclocking is too much desired.... but in a hot condition .... keep ur ace cool at normal MHZ of 800 else u can end up of excessive battery heating ,, retarding battery life...and may be a processor burn ....

why do u want to overclock in the first place.since 1200mhz is more than enough for the beast (ur GS2) to wrk efficiently. do rewert back, since overclocking or undervolting will always lead to issue's like, overheating, random freeze's and reboots rather than improving the performance

Galaxy S2 is very fast! There is no need to overclock your device. If you are looking for the best stats and performance for the Galaxy S2. Go back to Gingerbread. Meaning install a custom gingerbread based Rom and Kernel. Mix and match different Kernels and Roms until you find a Rom and Kernel that suits you. Remember its not all about the best stats on benchmark tests. Enjoy your phone!!
