S.O.S. Stuck in Bootloader - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

....I think I did it....just trying to downgrade from HC to GB, in this condition:
- reboot in bootloader
- Relocked the OEM via fastboot
- trying to flash the RUU straight from Windows.....and fail....
results:
- can't go into recovery
- can't boot my device
- I can access only the bootloader and Hboot
can I fix it? any help is welcome! thanks in advance!

How far did it get in the ruu?
You can likely get out of your state by unlocking your hboot again using same htc unlock. Will boot back into hc. Just follow the last steps from HTC
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e using xda premium

maybe you have a wrong RUU, try flash recovery using fastboot, or find a correct RUU that suit you cid.

What hboot version do you have now? Still the HC one?
Flash the recovery.img again and try it again.

You should have the unlock_code.bin from the first time. Then
Step 12
In the command prompt type: fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin. In the command prompt you will see the following message:
Step 13
On your phone you will now see the disclaimer. Please read this carefully as this action may void your warranty. Use the Volume buttons to highlight your choice, and the Power button to make your selection. If you select Yes, your phone will be reset to its’ factory default settings, and your bootloader will be unlocked. If you select No, your phone will reboot and no modifications will have been made. from my HTC Flyer P510e using xda premium

still doesn't work; i got this in terminal:

HT156T401184 fastboot
Ovidiu-Georges-MacBook-Pro: platform-tools ovigt71$ ./fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin

Do you have the unlock _code.bin in the same directory as fastboot

Quicker way to open a CMD to ADB is go to your platform tools folder and hold shift down right click on it.. Say open CMD .. Your set..
Another way ...
Turn debug on ^^)
1. ADB reboot bootloader
2. Fastboot boot recovery.img for Hboot 1.5 users
3. Wipe like normal.
4. Go back to Hboot. Select fastboot
5. Now type in ^ Fastboot oem lock^
6. Now run that 2.17 RUU. DO NOT TAKE USB CORD OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS WILL BRICK
7. Your set
If you wanna unroot again pretty simple..
Just redo that unlock code part your set.
Anyways if anyone needs help PM me or the OP.. I have done this 100 times or more lol well it feels like it..
yes, i'm a n00b

So you flashed the recovery in fastboot ? Didn't do a ph98img and leave it on the card ? Otherwise no idea everyone had that happen with the leak , but it was fixed by performing a factory reset in bootloader. Sorry , out of ideas.

Nope, i went from their modded hboot with the gb firmwire, how would i go about modding the ics one?
When you ran the ruu it replaced their hboot with the stock one. Look in the s-off thread for the juopunutbear hboot. It has the download for it and instructions. But be careful. Bad things can happen messing with hboot. I would recommend just unlocking again but it's up to you. If you do unlock I don't think there's a way for it to say locked again without turning s_on and running the s-off again

Thanks, im pretty sure i got it, Download the controlbear from the s-off tool and get the hboot, but... can anyone tell me the command to run? its like fastboot flash jhboot.img or something..
"fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip jb_hboot.zip
fastboot reboot"
Got it, thanks much for the help
you cannot use fastboot flash or fastboot boot with a stock, locked, hboot.
the download is an appropriate PH98IMG file. you can put on sd card, boot to hboot, say yes to update or:
put zip into folder with adb/fastboot
boot to fastboot
open cmd window
fastboot devices
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip <zipname>.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
verify the hboot changed
fastboot reboot
after you have the eng hboot, you can use fastboot flash to install the recovery if you want. you can also install the recovery exactly like above
to fastboot flash:
take image out of download, put inside folder with adb/fastboot utilities
boot to fastboot
open cmd window
fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery <recoveryname>.img
fastboot reboot
note that the <zipname> and <recoveryname> must be exactly the same as what the image or zip inside your adb/fastboot folder is called.

Stuck at white HTC boot screen after OTA update

Hi, did a stupid thing and did the OTA update without reading the forum. The first update went through but after the 2nd big update, my phone is stuck at the white HTC screen. My phone is HTCdev unlocked and was on stock GB. My hboot version is
Unlocked
Vigor PUT Ship S-On RL
Hboot 2.11.0000
eMMC-boot
Oct 6 2011
I've looked through the forums for a solution and so far I taken the following steps
1) I have tried to reflash through the hboot using rezound_AndroidPolice_3.14.605.12_PH98IMG.zip, but it won't reflash. It goes through the loading processing but at the end I don't get the do you want to update promt. It just brings me back to the fastboot, recovery, factory reset etc menu
2) Then tried reflash to stock GB (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1812084), that update worked I think since after the loading screen, it asked if I wanted to update and I clicked yes. But after that, still stuck at the white HTC screen
3) Did factory reset twice, once through hboot and then another time at the Recovery mode, still doesn't work
So now I'm completely lost in how to get my phone back to working state again. Any advice??
Thanks in advance.
Is your bootloader still unlocked? You can't take a stock rom with an unlocked bootloader. You have to relock it first.
If you can get to Fastboot, run "fastboot oem lock"

I have the Andriod SDK installed, so can you clarify what exactly do I right click and also how can I check if I do have the stock recovery flashed?
I've figured out how to use fastboot, but when I connect by phone to my computer and run the lock command, it says its waiting for the device to connect. Any suggestions?
it means your PC did not recognise the phone in fastboot. install htc drivers (through HTC sync), connect phone to PC, reboot to bootloader and select fastboot. you can see it changes to fastboot usb
I'm on the same boat, but my phone was completely stock when I took the OTA.
I used this link to unlock my phone. You can use it as reference to relock it

load a non engineering hboot? I'm not faliluar "non engineering hboot".
An engineering hboot allows extended fastboot commands while locked...you can only run them when you're s-off. Just flash the OTA RUU before you run those commands and you'll be fine. That will get everything back to stock, hboot included.

easiest way to get the non engineering hboot its to ruu. that way you can minimized the risk of bricking when going back to s-on.
what you should do is this:
back up your rom.
back up your internal sd card.
flash ruu -3.14.605.12-
do the steps for s-on
check to make sure you are s-on
then you will be at 100% factory out of the box phone.
*** please make sure you are at 80% or higher on battery life and have some free time. this might take up to an hour to do successfully. ***

The only reason I suggested that particular one is that it is the current OTA. Flash it, and you'll be at the "official" versions on your hboot and radios.
