Can anyone really comfirm that NT can enable bluetooth - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

I was ordered kindle fire and canceled. Bluetooth availablity could be the decisive factor of buying NT. Some said bluetooth could be enable like nook color. As far as I know, all are just hear and say, without anyone has NT on hand can use bluetooth. Could anyone has first hand exprience can come forward to comfirm that NT can or cannot enable bluetooth? Thanks.

We have to wait for someone to do a hardware teardown before we'll know.

[Q] Possible to use computer speakers over A2DP?

I was wondering how difficult it would be to have the audio from my TouchPad be played through my desktop's 5.1 setup? I'd like to be able to watch a movie/show on my TouchPad in bed, but instead have the sound come through my speakers. Also might be nice if someone could provide a link for a cheap, good quality bluetooth dongle that supports A2DP.
Thanks
am i getting a lack of response because this is trivial to do?... maybe no one else interested in doing this?.... cant be done?
the problem is the by stack HP used when developing the touch. It is extremely limited and as far as I know there's been little to no success with manipulating it
is that a hardware limitation or something that would be possible once we see android on our touchpads?
I use a2dp to my old Belkin Tunestage and it works great...

[Q] connecting PS3 controller to tablet s?

Hey everyone,
Have had my tablet for over a month now and absolutely loving it. Just a question to anyone that may know better than me. I was trying to link a PS3 remote to my tablet but no luck with the bluetooth connection. I have seen videos on youtube of a logitech remote, but since it is a sony device(playstation certified one none the less) I was hoping to use them when playing games. I know there is a program called siaxis controller, and siaxis compatability, but no go with either of them......anyone have any ideas or luck with trying?. I have even plugged the controller into the usb slot with the cable.
the pad currently won't work. Sony use a weird bluetooth setup on the ps3.
I've been told in 2 sony shops that it will officially support the pads at some point I'm guessing with ics.
If we got root then you can hack it to work but no root so far
It can be done with a USB connected controller, I can't post the link yet, but search Youtube for 'Sony Tablet S with PlayStation Gaming Controller' a MobileTech review.
Not sure about a wireless option though.
Yeah this was what I thought..... I looked high and low and couldn't find any info on the PS3 controller connection. I did find the video you were talking about for the usb controller. Thanks for that. Just a little bit of a bummer. One thing they seemed to have over looked, but I am sure with some software update in the near future, or rooting, we will figure out a way to get it to work.
If anyone finds anything in the mean time, please post it.....would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
The problem with video is it uses Logitech not Sony controller, I wish there was a way to use Sony one wirelessly or wired at least.

mic 101 vs 201

hi,
i am very unhappy about the build in microfon of my transformer 101.
i am so disappointed, that i wonder if i should sell my 101 and buy a 201.
how is the mic quality of the prime? is it better? are there any comparison
videos from users owning both devices yet?
and if it as crapy as the one from the 101, is there any hardwaremod
thats replaces the build in one with a better one yet?
thank you. still hoping that ics makes a difrent about the mic settings,
but with no big hope :/

I can only offer anecdotal evidence, FWIW.
I had 2 Acer A500 tablets, both of which had very poor mics. It was a design problem, I think. I like voice input, so resolved to look at TF Prime to see whether the TF-201 had done a better job.
When I got my Prime Dec 28 that was the first thing I tried, and am happy to say, that at least on my instance, it had decent mic and voice input recognition. That should be the case, as voice input is emphasized on upcoming ICS.
I can't compare voice on TF-201 to that on 101, but it was better than on A500, and adequate for me.
Unfortunately there were other issues for me with Prime.
i know that when skyping or gchatting on my tf201 prime i have not had 1 problem as of yet
may one of you try a selfrecording with the record app
and analyse if its good or poor quality?
the google voice recognition is pointless because its
85% working on my 101 too, but recording myself
or even skyping is so bad in quality that its no fun.
thanks
The Mic is perfect (it got even two I think). I picked up the tablet yesterday and called a friend on skype. He first thought that I was behind my PC (I use a logitech G35 headset there, so a very good one)

android on the phone, ubuntu/xwindows on the video out

I had a convergence idea (that i'm sure others have had in the past) about using an atrix 4g laptop dock (via mhl to hdmi) on my galaxy note. I'm running cm10 (4.1.2) with ubuntu installed experimentally, but I would really like to get xwindows working on the video out on my note instead of just a mirror of what' on my phone's display (sort of like the atrix demonstration of cannonical's ubuntu for android) the sad part is that I haven't the foggiest about how to bind an xserver to the video out and then how to disable the bluetooth input to android and enable it on that xserver... if cannonical can do it with an atrix, i'd imagine we should be able to do it on a note...
just kicking around some ideas. if anyone has any idea as to how to go about this, or has additional ideas and information related, i'd be interested. I'm very interested in mobile phone / notebook / desktop convergence and would love to see something this this in action in my hand.
now that atrix laptop docks (which are really just hdmi displays / speakers and usb keyboards that power for 8 hours) are $50 on ebay it seems like the time is right...
Beat me to the post I was going post a similar idea as well today. Only I have no interest in using the pad dock. Just "ubuntu" video out activated on mhl input.

Need buying advice for S912 box

Interested in these three boxes but the specs seem similar with the exception of the Mecool having Kodi 17, TX8 has 32GB internal storage and an extra USB port, and the H96Pro lacks 802.11 ac.
Anyone have a suggestion as to which one of these would be the best one to buy? The small price difference is negligible to me.
TX8: http://www.tinydeal.com/tx8-s912-23...20ghz-4k-h265-bt40-smart-tv-box-p-161406.html
Mecool: http://www.tinydeal.com/mecool-bb2-...roid60-kodi170-dual-wifi-tv-box-p-161513.html
H96Pro: http://www.tinydeal.com/h96pro-s912-2gb16gb-android60-kodi-161-5ghz-wifi-bt40-tv-box-p-161177.html
I just made the leap myself.
So I can't speak from experience with the latter two boxes, but I recently purchased a TX8 ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01L...rds=QacQoc&dpPl=1&dpID=518FnFtx+gL&ref=plSrch )on Amazon and I love it! Right out of the box, everything works with very minor bugs. The Bluetooth connection works well IF you can get your devices to connect. The launcher/third party connection manager gets in the way of any prompts Android tried to display. Pairing anything that requires a passcode is impossible. I had an older tablet keyboard with its own USB dongle and it works great. The other, bigger, issue is the ability to get OTA updates is still a pipe dream. It said it had it. The function is there, yet it fails to connect to any server it's looking for. It came rooted, so I'll try to sideload something and see if it works. Other than that, this thing rocks! Not a single slow down, buffer, studder, or freeze. Perfect emulator box when paired with two Bluetooth controllers. Hope this helps. Any ideas on fixing my OTA update problem, let me know.
