Where are you located and what is the service provider?
Do you have a SIM card for the phone? That would the the first thing you need.
For myself all I did was insert the SIM card and I never looked back.
Maybe someone with the same service provider will be able to help.
Hello
I searched the forum about the topic, but no real answer. The problem is that, the MMS is disabled during being in roaming and having data switched off. Is there a way to make MMS messages working while the Internet data is switched off ?
Unfortunately, MMS requires a data connection.
I'm surprised, because on stock 2.1 ROM of desire it worked OK (internet data in roaming was blocked while mms messaging were working). Same thing I remember from WinMobile. Does anybody else is in peace with that mmsing is just not working in roaming ? No one did anything ?
okay. there is maybe solution for this, lookslike issue.
I did the same, that in Settings > Wireless & .. > Mobile networks > Data roaming - Unchecked to avoid data in roaming. So No Data, therefore no MMS. okay, no acceptable for me.
try this: in roaming(!) just un-check Settings > Wireless & .. > Mobile network (connect to internet) or in Statusbar menu in roll menu tap Quick settings and un-check Mobile network and then in Mobile networks menu (setting menu) check back Data roaming. So the MMS send and receive could be possible.
I understand this logic, as internet connection is something else than use MMS APN to communicate through mobile network data.
Cheers, Ondrej

I have zopo zp100 (MTK6575) and i've installed android 4.0.3
On some Operators Data Connection doesn't work at all.
APN settings correct.
In status bar connection shows as active. But no data transfers.
ping has no responce.
On another operator all works fine.
On android 2.3.6 data connection works for both operators.
How can i investigate this problem?
Settings>More>Mobile networks>Access Point Names>"Your provider">Authentication type>None
I have installed a Miui rom. My device is a HTC desire CDMA. The problem that I have is 3g data connection doesn't work. I have no icon either. I can receive messages and calls. My apn is correct. I was wondering what files make the data connection work? My thought is it has something to do with the framework.apk or the framework.jar. Thanks

I dont think framework.apk has to do anything with data connection.
1. Check whether you have enabled data roaming option under 'Mobile network settings' under wireless and network settings
2.Try deleting the apn and manually create a new apn with proper settings...restart the phone.
3. Try changing the network mode to wcdma only.
I did all all of that. Still nothing.
Sent from my HTC Desire CDMA using Tapatalk 2
using the latest version of the app, copied everything from the default (non-editable) APN to a new one just so I can change the APN to IPv4. made sure this new APN was selected and then... no connection to the Internet as the 4G LTE icon disappears. If I change the APN to IPv4/IPv6 then the 4G LTE icon appears again. Regardless when I connect my laptop to the app's SSID, Windows tells me there's no Internet connectivity. Any suggestions on what I might be missing?
You should be able to keep it on the default setting there.
What apn are you using
