That's not entirely true. There is a KJ4 modem (maybe region-specific?), and I'm looking for it as well . Here is a screenshot.
Btw, can there be a difference between the same build (e.g. KJ4) modem files released in different countries? Or are they all the same?

Whatever kernel you had before you flashed the CF-Root kernel.
You DID make a note of what your kernel was before you flashed the CF-Root kernel, right?

Region has less to do with what kernel he needs than what build of Android he is on.
My region is UK the phone is on Vodafone but is unlocked
Android version 2.3.5
Baseband version I9100BUKI1

Getting warmer... Again, what's the build number? You just need to scroll down a LITTLE further...

Ok, so you need the BUKJ3 stock kernel. Unfortunately, the only place that I knew of off the top of my head to download it is Intratech's carrier branded firmware thread, and all the links for it are on multiupload... which was shut down by the DOJ.
I'll hunt around a bit for it, but google (which is what I'll be using) is your friend.
cheers buddy i will try google then and see what happens
Your right about multiupload

So I've not had much luck... I tried finding the full firmware to see if I could strip out just the kernel, but all the full firmware downloads for BUKJ3 I've found only unzip to an md5 file, which I don't know how to strip out the zImage file from.
You could post in Intratech's carrier branded firmware thread to see if he (Intratech) still has the stock kernel for BUKJ3 somewhere, and if he can re-upload it to a file server that is still in service.
Alternatively, you could just order a USB jig to get rid of the triangle. This will also reset your non-Samsung kernel flash counter back to zero.

Request modem for I9100G

Would anybody be kind enough to post a recent modem for the I9100G? I've flashed SuperROM v3.0 so the ROM and kernel are pretty up to date, the only thing is my Baseband is still at DZKL3. I'm looking for anything newer, basically LA2, LB1 LC1 or LC2.
Thanks in advanced.
Actually better use baseband that updated for ur country..if u r from malaysia..better stay with dzkl3

Yes, I'm from Malaysia, but I don't think DZKL3 is even for Malaysia. I downloaded it somewhere. Seems to work fine. I don't think there's much different between the country builds. I just would like to have the most recent modem if available.

I'm afraid because i dont found the original kernel, so if anything goes wrong, my phone will be a paper weight...
This thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 don't contains my kernel version...
The files CF-Root-SGS2_DX_XTC_LP7-v5.4-CWM5.zip and CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEN_LP7-v5.4-CWM5.zip are compatibles with my kernel version? They can brick my phone?
Thanks

that you put in post #1, you currently have an LP7 kernel. Those are LP7 kernels. They should work for you just fine.
(You should also re-read post #1 of Chainfire's CF-root thread, as the information outlining this is contained there under the heading "Help! Which file do I use ?")
Thank you!
Yes but I have read many people saying that those letters are codes for countries, that do not work on all phones, etc..
What puzzled me most was to have two files for LP7, while it works on all LP7, there should be only one CF-Root for each kernel?
Well, since you showed me the original kernel, I can now test these CF-Root, and see if they work or not for me.
Thank you.
It's safe. But I recommend you to update your LP7 to LPD. Is the best Stock ICS right now. Brazilian ICS ROMs sucks.

Thanks for the confirmation. I am more secure now.
The site samsung updates does not have the brazilian LPD for a while, no? Do you have a reliable source for me to download?
You also do not have a reliable source of tutorial in Portuguese for me to follow to upgrade?
Thanks for the patience and reading

There isn't a brazilian LPD, but doesn't matter. I'm going to send you a PM, trying to explain in portuguese.

A question about CF-root.

Hi, was just wondering if anyone could help me figure out which version of CF-root to use for my S2? Major noob at all this so probably asking a stupid question.
Baseband version - i9100xxlps
build number - iml74k.xwlp7
Thanks.

There are two versions which have the LP7 code that the thread says I should look for. Does it matter which one I use?

Which modem for Three UK?

Hey guys,
Wondering if I could get some advice on modems. I'm using the latest CM10 preview on the Three network in the UK - and need to flash an appropriate modem. I've read some people do this by trial and error - but is there a better way?
Using the GetRIL app, I see:
RIL: XWLPO
Baseband: I9100XXLPQ
The app is telling me that these do not match. I'm afraid I don't understand the relationship between RIL and baseband - can I use this information to select an appropriate modem from this list:
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommana...t&name=codeworkx&deviceName=Samsung Galaxy S2
My guess would be to use the LPQ modem - but is that just me not understanding?
Thanks,
Xeo
Ok, I've found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131950
It appears to imply that you do indeed just need to try a few different modems until one works well - bah! If anyone has any advice on where to start, it would be most welcome
