mmm even it turns back on you can calibrate!
charge the phone to full -> boot to CWM -> go to advanced -> wipe battery stats -> reboot phone
use ur phone normally that day till it's fully empty (phone turns off) charge it offline till full again and then turn it on. it may need 2 - 3 full charge cycles to calibrate.
after that the battery should last longer if it's not totally dead (needs to be replaced) before calibration

[Q] p500 freezes

Hallo!
I'm new to smartphones and android system. I recently updated my p500 to 2.3.3(official Baltic update), and started to experience a problem - about once a day phone becomes unresponsive - black screen, doesn't respond to buttons, PC doesn't recognize it. I can revive it by disconnecting/connecting the battery. While it's not responding, it is using a lot of battery juice ~ 15%/h. I thought that some of the apps from market were the cause of the problem, so I made a factory reset, didn't install anything from market, but still, after 14h of working, the phone become unresponsive again. Has anyone experienced this kind of problem and/or has a solution to it?
Thank you!

Have you installed any custom kernel and overclocked your CPU? If yes, try reducing the overclcok levels.

I flashed cm7 6.5.5, but found a new problem - GSM doesn't work, I tried the GSM fix, but still can't connect to my GSM operator. The phone finds GSM services, but when I try to connect, it says "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network". There are 3 GSM operators in Latvia, I can't connect to any of them. I installed francos kernel, but the problem still persists. Is there solution to this? My SIM is fairly old ~ 10-12 years

I did a recovery, it works fine on original 2.3.3, so it should not be a faulty SIM :/
flash cm7 6.5.7
unfortunately just found my phone unresponsive while using CM7 6.5.7
It seems that i found a cure for this issue - I underclocked the cpu to 480mhz, and the phone has worked for 240h, when I tried to set the stock 600nhz, it froze again in a couple of hours.
Considering that everything was ok with stock 2.2.1, can someone recommend a good 2.2.1 or 2.2.2 ROM?

[FIX]BootLoop while Offline[Switched-Off] Charging Xperia MiNi Pro [Rooted ICS]

Hi,
Are You experiencing bootloop [on-off] every time when you plug-in your phone to the charge when it is switched-off... ??
This problem may have occurred after rooting your Mini Pro on Ice Cream Sandwich ?
Solution to this problem :
[1] Download and extract the Charger.zip file in the attachments.
[2] Copy the extracted charger file to your phone SD card.
[3] Use X-Plore or Root explorer to copy the charger file on SD card to system\bin\ [Just Replace It] on phone memory.
[4] Done ! No Need to reboot..
This Method has been tested on my Xperia Mini Pro and its working !!

What? Rooting will not cause that I suppose. It might be CWM which is disabling offline charging. That is possible. I will test soon and report back.
Edit:
Okay. I just now checked. It's true. Offline Charging is not working with ICS when CWM is installed at /system as in nAa's method. Will ask some more users to test.
Thanks,
Rick

EDIT: Charging while phone-off now works! Don't forget to change the permissions.
I root my Sony Live With Walkman phone, when I received ICS update. That mean two or one months ago. So for no issue. Today I installed CWM recovery using SE Extreme Tweak toolkit. After that I wipe battery stats. Now I face this issue. I think its CWM issue, not rooting.
Yes, this method fix it. Thanks friend.

If you are on stock ICS kernel, just install cwm from xparts. It works fine for me on lww ICS rooted and ofcourse offline charging is working fine. And nAl's recovery is also working fine with working offline charging. Maybe the problem is the custom kernel you flashed !!

Please help!!!
LwW doesn't charge
I installed cwm on my LwW by the xparts app. And it worked. I used the phone for like one hour, and the battery was about 50%. I puted it on charger for a whole night, the phone was on. But it turned off somehow, and now my battery is completely drained. I try to put the charger and turn it on, but when gets to homescreen, it turn off. Without the charger, the led blinks red and doesn't turn on. What should I try?
-Edit
I tried to charge the battery with an universal charger, and it is now with 55%, and I copied the file to the directory, and now it appears to be charging while phone is off, but not increase the percentage. And when its on, the thunder under the battery is there, but the led isnt orange, nor the system shows that's charging. Do you know what it could be?
???

Help needed

I'am having xperia mini pro ( mango ). Several weeks I was using FXP's CM 7.2, later decided to try LegacyXperia's CM 10.1, Installed it perfectly. Later that day noticed my battery drains very fast.. like 1 percent per 2~4 minutes. Thought to go back to CM 7.2, reflashed back succesfuly and the bug apeared.. I charged my phone to 100 percents, disconnected charger and battery drained to 0 per few seconds, phone turned off, tryed to turn on, but only red light keeps blinking. Connected to charger again, turned phone on, it says "charged" and 100 percent, but after disconnecting charger it dies again, can be my battery damaged or something? Tryed to wipe battery stats and clean phone under battery, nothing helps yet, any suggestions?

Try flashing your stock firmware with Flashtool. See if things are okay. If so, flash Rage kernel for CM7 (using command and not flashtool) and then install CM7. Rage kernel gets the best battery life in my opinion. Note that there are two Rage kernels. One for stock firmware and another for CM.

Well, make sure you have 100% battery, then nstall a fresh new ROM. I have Gin2KitKat 3.1.0 with NightElf Experimental. Do a Factory Reset, format System, delete Dalvik's Cache, delete Baterry Stats, Fix Permissions. Reboot. Install a Batery Callibration app from Play Store (I can't post a link, because this is my 2nd post, lol.
Then play some games or something untill your battery dies. Put your phone to charge for a couple hours, turn it on, callibrate your battery with that app & plug out your phone. Don't leave your WiFi, BT, Sync, etc. on if you don't use your phone.
If this doesn't help...well...buy a new battery.
Press "Thanks" if I hepled in any way. I really need those

[Q] Need Support

hello , i have a question, i have an samsung galaxy s3, it is loaded with
googy max kernel 1.7.3
android 4.1.2
basebandver. i9300ceemg2
but recently it acts wierd
the phone de-charge pretty fast, even when connected to charger or usb device it decharge if phone is on,
on full charged battery you see it de-charge pretty fast like 1% every 10-15 mins,,
i can't charge the phone while its on i need to turn it off in order to charge the battery
what i have done sofar is
swap original charger to an other one
changed usb cable
resetted the kernel to stock
but none helped sofar,
could this be that the battery is broken? or that there is an process that takes alot power im not aware off? or is charging firmware related that the firmware encountered a bug ?

Could be a number of things causing your problem...I would suggest making sure you are on stock rom and kernel and install one of these apps >> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asksven.betterbatterystats << PAID or >> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm << FREE. You can monitor your phone to see if any app is draining your battery ( would give it at least 24hrs to test) then if it is a app you can uninstall or delete that app.
It sounds like to me it could be battery or hardware problem especially with you returning to stock and also discharging while plugged in..

Give it a try it nothing to lose and (don't forget to backup your data) use a battery stats software after you have reset. If the problem is still there and its not any apps that are causing you problems flash to stock to be 100% sure it's not software....
