I know what you mean. It seems like such a violent vibrate lol
This phone, my OG evo, and my nexus s all do this and I don't think it is possible to get rid of it because it's just part of the hardware starting itself up, if I had a guess.

Vibrate occurs extremely early in the boot sequence. The vibration occurs before the kernel is even loaded.
The only place I would suggest to have access over the vibration would be in the actual bootloader. The source code for the bootloader is closed and don't think HTC has ever released it.
The only work I've seen done on the bootloader has been by unrevoked and alpharevx regarding the unlocking for internal memory. Most of the work on the bootloader, if not all, has to be done thru reverse engineering.
Hope that helps provide some semi technical background!

OK so recently my phone has not woken up from when it is unlocked. I've tried waiting and I've tried pressing it harder, multiple times etc, but nothing happens. I just end up resorting to a battery pull. This has just been starting this past week. I am running stock gingerbread no root. Should I be concerned? Has anyone else experienced this with their note?

i guess no one else has this issue?
If you are running stock without root and you have this issue then you should be concerned. Does a battery pull fix it? Do you have some memory hogging apps running in the background? Have you tried a factory reset? All else fails contact ATT for a replacement.

Op says stock gingerbread no root!
factory reset if it doesnt fix the problem, ATT RMA
I have an htc amaze. It was first boot looping into the htc logo. My friend then went to h boot and did a factory reset.. Now the phone won't turn on, is this s brick ? If so can someone help me out. I'm not familiar with htc ...
Was it rooted? Recovery? S-Off? Rom?
Soft brick from not allowing a proper boot. Install a stock ruu via hboot, that should fix it.

Never said it wouldn't power on, just said it won't boot and a soft reset wouldn't exactly brick a device now would it? Unless he's not telling us something.

To be fair, often times not turning on is the same thing as not booting up correctly to those who maybe aren't as tech savvy. TC just needs to be a little more specific.
It's seems and I'm not when or why but Rom built it install kernels for s on phone is not loading the ph98img file, at least not for me when it use to. Also my computer no longer recognizes fastboot, I get a device not found message. The only way I've been able to install kernels is zips thru recovery then bootloader will work. This is all new, I'm not a noon but never experienced this before. All suggestions are greatly appreciate ...

This is in the wrong section. And also if fastboot doesnt work you should try reinstalling the drivers.
Edit: RUUing also helps with issues, if it will load the RUU. If not im not sure but i think you can use a exe RUU but im not sure if there are any made for ics.

Just fyi, this should not have been posted in development. So since that has been said hopefully flaming wont start.
I had issues with fastboot when using the oem cord or mhl micro usb cord. I still use a regular micro usb cord.

If you downloaded HTC sync to get the drivers then look in the bottom right corner on your taskbar and find the HTC sync icon, right click and exit it

Try checking if it is hardware or software problem by booting in recovery
Please explain?I'm on stock right now been working straight since I got the phone so haven't rooted yet. How will this help tell if it's hardware or software I'm confused. Haven't rooted a HTC since my mytouch3g is it still a complete pain in the ass

There is a section on your problem. Many of us have it. Seems to be the screen protector causing it.

Just fyi, I have a screen protector on and I have no problems with the buttons. HOWEVER, when using a custom kernel, I have sensitivity issues and unresponsiveness issues. So take that for what it's worth.
