Nice and Cheap Stand - Eee Pad Transformer Accessories

Hi there!
Yesterday I purchased a little stand for the transformer, which has proofed perfect for doing Skype video calls and surfing while on a table. It's adjustable in 2 positions (50 and 70 degrees) and it only costed 10€.
Cons? The stand doesn't have an opening for the charger, so if you want to charge (or sync) it you have to put it upside-down.
So, the stand is this one: http://www.speedlink.com/?p=2&cat=2H&pid=25497&paus=1&act_lang=en

Stuff I have bought......

This is the stuff I have bought for my G1.
I will post pics, to try and help anyone trying to make a decision on what to buy.
(alot of credit goes to ITSMEMORPHIUOS on youtube, He reviews iphone stuff. and through his reviews I got the confidence to buy half this stuff)
1) MOSHI case (ipouch=for iphone)= fits G1 perfect: excellent "everyday" case. Has special cloth sewn on inside that really cleans your G1. www.moshimonde.com (f**K IPHONE, had to get that out of my system). Washable, extra pocket for headphones. comes with really nice lanyard (to whip your kids with). SEVERAL LAYERS OF VERY THIN FABRIC NOT BULKY AT ALL.
2) niteize s-biner, size #1= to hang on moshi case
http://www.niteize.com/productdetail.php?category_id=29&product_id=152
3) SENA case= ULTRA slim case=, executive case REMOVED!!! NO NEED FOR COMMENTS LIKE THAT/THIS!!!!. www.senacases.com
4) SEIDIO retractable USB cable= it's ok, kind of short only 2'. really handy to carry though.
5) Cellet retractable wall charger.= travel charger, (*NOT TO SURE ABOUT THIS ONE, ONLY 500mA). BUT the car charger looks like a excellent product (but at the same time looks like a d*ck and balls????). (wish I had a car)
6) ZAGG invisible shield. OK ready, great protection, very UGLY look. DO NOT USE THE SCREEN PIECE.
---USE www.powersupportusa.com CRYSTAL FILM instead, can't even tell something is on the screen.
WHY: the Zagg gives orange peel affect (distorts image), Also you can see adhesive acts like little prisms and distorts image.
---Also I covered my wife's phone with Zagg completely and it totally takes away from the phone (women!!!).
--------SO on my phone I just used two small stripps on where the phone makes contact with a surface. much better look.
TIP: buy 70% isopropyl Rubbing alcohol from local pharmacy( will cost $1-$2 for huge bottle), same stuff that is in expensive computer screen wipes. But find good lint free cloth.
spray phone:
1) to clean
2) can apply crystal film when wet with alcohol
This is not a purchase but a great tip:
7) Piece of leather cut 4" x 6" ( and old leather jacket will do) great place to rest your phone while charging.
8) Turbo Charger= on the go, emergeny charger(uses AA)
9) AMZER 82000= cradle. ( got extra battery from t-mobile for free) still waiting for it to arrive in mail.
http://www.amzer.com/accessories-de...el=T-Mobile G1&mcid=1&category=&make=T-Mobile
10) sandisk 16 GB microsdhc = must have= works.
If you have any questions about these items, let me know, hopefully it will help you make your decision.
Oh and this is my first post with pics sorry if i F it up.

A bit G1 obsessive if you ask me, but I can see y, I love my phone too. But I dont think all the cases/pouches r necessary.
I didnt like the bulk of the pouch it came with. so I got the sena case, but
the sena case is very slim line and doesn't cover the phone 100% and you have to break it in to use it.
So then I ended up with the moshi pouch (black pouch), which is good to just throw around, phone slides in and out of it with ease. (the gay pink or peptol bismol one is my wife's).
I'm getting the same cradle. Do you know if the phone fits in it without removing the USb cover?
you don't have to take off the little cover there is little space for the little cover to sit within
Great, thats what I was worried about.
For the cradle can you charge the G1 and the spare battery at the same time? I was just wondering because I bought a crappy dock a while back and I could only charge the battery with the dock and had to connect a usb cable to charge the phone. Also is it hard to put the G1 in the dock or is it pretty easy. Thanks for the info man

I got mine off of ebay, from Hong Kong, so I did not have the pleasure of unboxing ( came in Manila Envelope). But saved a couple of bucks.
NO IT IS NOT EASY TO PUT PHONE IN AND OUT. if you plan on using phone alot it is not easy. but if phone just sits in one place and you have bluetooth headset then it's OK. There is nothing wrong with cradle, The problem comes in with the little door has to be opened, then lowering the phone onto little usb connector. It's great for people who have there own desk at the office.
Comes with:
1) cadle: nice build quality (for made in china cradle),has charger port, usb port and 3.5mm stereo out. fingerprint and dust magnet. but I'm happy with product.
Blue and red led indicator on front of cradle, very bright. Might have to cover at night.
BLUE: glows when charger is plugged in. even if there is no phone or battery in charger.
RED: glows when battery is charging.
2) wall charger: 1.5 AMPS, nice can charge battery and phone at same time.
3) usb cable.
more pics of cradle.............
Where did you get that cradle?? OMG, I was just tell ing my friend I needed a cradle that had a charge port AND an audio out port. That's so freaky.
Doesn't look nearly as nice as yours, but all I really want is to be able to put in in the cradle on my dresser and plug my speakers into it. WOuld this work?

got cradle off of ebay. came from hong kong.
omg, love the cradle! I wish we had bluetooth stereo headphones capabiliy (A2D2). this would be perfect for that. I could just use it to charge my spare battery while streaming music or just get the giant 2400 mAh battery. What do you guys think?
How well does the Crystal Film screen shield fit on the g1, since it's made for the iPhone? My stock screen is getting really scratched up and I desperately need a new one, and you seem to have done your research
Also, I have been thinking about buying the cradle as well, and I have an extended battery that I use as my backup, and since the g1 won't fit on the charger with the extended battery on, I'd like to be able to place it on the extra charger, I just wanted to make sure it'd fit
I too am loving my cradle. Also wishing for Bluetooth Stereo. We'll see what this month brings I guess.
CRYSTAL FILM: was from powersupportusa.com But I don't see it on their website anymore.
It has an exact fit and is very smooth, people can't even tell i have a film on.
CRADLE: yes the extended battery fits in the back part of the cradle. the only thing is you cant close the back cover of the cradle.
You can put the phone and the extended battery (in the back part of the cradle with the cover door open) in at the same time.
Thats one spoiled-lucky G1 hahaha.
can someone post a working link to one of those cradles for me.. thanx a lot

Speaker Base/Stand for G-Tablet

I picked this up tonight at TJ Max for a whopping 10 bucks. Its obviously meant for the iPad, but it has a standard male audio jack which plugs right into the Tablet. It takes 4 AAA cells and has a volume control and power switch on the back. This is no Bose sound system, but it's a vast improvement over the internal speakers. The main reason I bought this was for it to be a base for the G-Tablet. For this purpose it's more than adequate.
Nice Find!
I picked this up yesterday at Marshalls (same store) and I'm thinking of taking it back. It is VERY unstable since it is made for the thinner iPad, which would lean back in the cradle better. The g tab wants to flop forward too easily
Agree, but you'd have to nudge pretty hard to have it fall forward (which I unintentionally tested just left sitting there it won't move on it's own.
To make it more stable, I put small adhesive rubber feet in the front to tilt the whole unit back a half inch and it was much better. Not perfect, but for $10 it'll work.
I also have this speaker dock I picked it up for Marshall's. I have two kids and they are only 1 and two years old. They both play learning games on the G Tablet while sitting in the speaker dock in Landscape and portrait and they haven't dropped it yet they both use it for about 20 minutes to an hour each everyday for the last few weeks so a $10 dock has helped me alot. Also makes viewing videos easier to see

1) Genuine HTC CC C500 charger (does AC-speed charging at 9V from a cigarette lighter). Like-new, used once, works perfect. $10
Actual HTC OEM, will ACTIVELY charge the tablet even when on full brightness (unlike most others) because it outputs the same 9V as the AC charger. If you're going to leave your tab on (for GPS, e.g.) then you will need this to last more than a few hours. I had my tablet on for an entire iron-butt (1000 miles in 24 hours) and it was still 100% charge at the end of the ride. If it weren't a HTC-specific thing, I would be keeping this.
2) RAM X-Grip Universal Mount (holds the tablet well, like new, used a few times on my motorcycle). $20
This grips very well, I never had it fall out even with the worst bumps. You have to position the grip nubs of the X-Grip between the buttons on the Flyer, but once there, it'll stay fine. I had to use a RAM universal TAB mount for my new Galaxy Tab 2, because the X-Grip would press the power button.
3) MountGuys MFX070-2 Sun Shade Anti Glare Visor for 7" Tablet and GPS Screens (new, never used). $15
I had it on the bike, works fine, but decided to get an anti-glare film instead. No complaints.
4) On unused Photodon MAXI antiglare screen. $10
I'm VERY pleased both with the matte screen and the writing feel. Much nicer than an Invisishield before. This is UNUSED one of two I bought.

TechMatte Qi-Wireless Charging Pad Review

I was provided this product free of charge for my unbiased opinions on it in the form of a review. Any and all opinions I give are my own.
TechMatte Qi-Wireless Charging Pad Review
Amazon product page: http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-TechMatte-Qi-Enabled-Charging-Included/dp/B00F1SHFJA
First off, I would like to say that communication with this company was great. I never had a problem with getting a reply, usually it took less than 24 hours. For me, that's a very important aspect of any product purchase. Also, it took only 2 days to ship the charging pad to my door which is excellent given the price of the product. Speaking of which, the packaging was acceptable although not appealing to me. It was packaged a plain brown box with a cardboard divider separating the charging pad and the AC adapter/usb cable. The shipping container was a white USPS box with some bubble wrap inside. I felt that it did a good job in protecting the product in it's transportation. With those thoughts out of the way, let's move onto some more interesting topics.
Look and Feel
The charging pad is covered in a soft touch plastic. If I had to compare it to something it would be HTC's plastic on it's phones. It feels pretty good, but in my time using the pad didn't offer enough grip to stop the phone from sliding off or spinning in place anytime I tried to use the phone while it was charging. The build quality is ok, when I squeezed the sides with moderate pressure it did not move or squeak. I think it would survive a fall from a small height, such as a table. Which is a good thing because the tiny feet at the bottom of the pad are absolutely useless. They may as well be ice skates, it just slides all around my table. I told the representative of the company that they need to implement actual rubber feet. It has a very small LED on the bottom side to let you know if it's charging. It doesn't blind you, but it's also really hard to see from any decent distance. For $20, it's average. Nothing too special about the device in my opinion.
Look and Feel Score: 3/5
Functionality
The most important part, does it work and how well? Well it works with the Nexus 6. The problem lies with the phone itself mostly. Because of the way the Nexus 6 positions it's coil, you have to be extremely precise when putting the phone on the pad to get it to charge. The phone hangs off of the pad about 2 inches. I tested charging rates in several configurations. I tested the pad with the included adapter/cable, the pad with the turbocharger and TechMatte cable, the pad with the turbocharger and Motorola cable, etc. In my testing, the included adapter and cable are junk. It charged about 50% slower than when using the turbocharger and Motorola cable. Keep in mind that this is when using the wireless charging pad to charge the phone. The pad never got hot and the phone stayed cool as well. It took about 3 hours to charge from 10% to 100% using the turbocharger and TechMatte charging pad. Using the turbocharger by itself took around 1 hour and 20 minutes. I found the pad to be useful for a quick 3-5% charge placing the phone down when I go do something else for 10 minutes.
Functionality Score: 3/5
Final Thoughts
I think this pad could be a lot better with very few, easy changes. Add big, rubber feet. Increase the size of the pad and grip/magnet to prevent the phone from falling off. Include higher quality adapter and cable. Do those things, maybe increase the price to $25 and I would be very happy with this charging pad. Unfortunately, as it is right now I feel that it is just okay. Sure it works, but there's too many hassles keeping it from being a truly enjoyable experience.
Final Score: 3/5
I would like to thank TechMatte for providing me with a free device to test and review. I hope that my thoughts and feedback can improve your product in the future.
Thank you for your review

Car dock for dual screen

Has anyone found a suitable car dock for the dual screen? It seems like most of them don't open wide enough to accommodate both screens (6.5")
Wireless charging would be even better but since the pad would be near the side I don't know if anyone makes something like that
I use this one with a custom bracket to fit my dash.
You can adjust the bottom supports to suit the folded or unfolded size.
I use the LG dongle for charging.

I stuck a metal plate on the inside of the DS case and im using a magnetic holder. Works well, but you'll lose the wireless charging capabilities with case on. For me it was worth the compromise.
Magnetic holder on the air vents, get two if you want to put it more secure, I left the metal plates inside the case and not on the phone itself
anyone consider using microsuction tape? haven't tried this yet but it seems like it could work.
I would like to use a QI Car Charger.
Anyone has an idea which one to use for the Dual Screen Mode?
The left grab-arm must be way shorter.
Or does anyone know a QI Charger which grabs the Phone from Top and Bottom?
Ali got it
I ordered this one for the price of 4 $ and 42 cents. that is including shipping from China to Holland LMAO

Should be possible to have the phone opened up, do 2 or more things on the phone AND driving at the same time
Seriously! Don't do that!
