Developers: Any Flyer ICS Plans? - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

Are any developers either working on or planning to work on an ICS mod for the Flyer?
Thank you.

Questions go in General, it doesn't matter if the question is about development.

my guess is no

we need first that htc releases the kernel sources.....after that i'm in....

Isn't that the same one that has been there for a number of weeks? I downloaded that a while back.

It is indeed the one that has been there for a long time.

2.6.35 is fine for ICS, correct?
It seems that all of the AOSP builds for other devices are based on it.

No, this kernel won't just work with an AOSP build. This is a sense kernel.

That's the old kernel source for Gingerbread. Maybe I am wrong but that was already released some month ago?!
Edit: Okay, I am not to old, see here (18 July!) or here (november)
2. Edit (see also below): Okay, the HC source code is now again available.
There is also one for HC (or was yesterday).

i did read the article and if you were aware you would know that we don't have an Official Cm9 Rom as the one we do have is unofficial being made by kushdeck
first thing is we have to get kernel source.
Hopefully they get official cm support but I'm not holding my breath

Correct me if I'm wrong... but aren't all CM9 builds considered "beta"? So by them freezing the builds, that means they're close to having an official release of CM9...this is a good thing for us since once our kernel is released, it'll be easy to have a very stable port of CM9.

yea they are but some of the are being developed by people on CM team and we still don't have source code for our phone yet
I would post your link in decks thread and see if he will speak to it. He'd be able to answer better than anyone.

That's heartbreaking. I exclusively used his kernels on my 4G until I made the jump to gingerbread. I've been using flex360's Stock with Goodies 1.6 along with freeza's modified stock kernel for about a week now. I've seen some pretty amazing battery life and don't really feel like wiping my phone clean right now so I'm holding off on updating. I guess I won't have a choice once some amazing kernels come out that aren't compatible with my ROM.

AOKP Progress

I haven't stopped stalking the AOKP and CM9 forums, and I've observed that development seems to have slowed. Is that because Chad, Meadows, and a few others have bricked their phones and are waiting for replacements?

short answer: yes. Long answer: no. They cant dev since they have no devices, but they also are waiting ti make sure all us other dont brick too. i mean it sucks when devs brick their own phones, but bricking other peoples...
^ that
and
waiting on HTC to release the linux kernel source. We should not have to wait long. There is a thread on general about having htc release sources in a timely manner for all devices.

this is a vigor aosp kernel. it would be compiled with cm9, as opposed to a pre-built one. i would advise you not to use it as its a major WIP and may brick your phone.

I know lol. I was just double-checking to see if this was the kernel he was talking about the other day with most of the kinks worked out. I'm s-on and have another Rezound on hand, anyway. Worth a shot to test it out.

Kernel source (4.2.2)

Hello everyone,
HTC just released kernel source for HOX and kernel source for HOX+ is just uploading at htcdev.com
slow downloads at the moment, mine's been going for 5minutes already
A little bit offtopic maybe, but does this mean that we might be able to get 4.3 and 4.4 ports from HTC One?

I got the feeling that these ports were close to impossible without the kernel source. Sorry for my misunderstanding.

yea i thought he meant the official 4.3 and 4.4 from htc one
Finally Can we expect some improvements for 4.3 or is it just relevant for 4.4?
Is this new kernel source likely to help with MHL in AOSP-based ROMs or is the MHL problem caused by something else?
Hope to get a good kernel to help our One X+
As far as i know mhl is not a kernel issue its related to other proprietary drivers

IM aware of that, im not kernel expert, but your saying HTC cant provide us 4.4 update using this new kernel sources, unless Google also updates?
And another note, its only matter of time Google updates to this new sources, than i see no reason HTC couldn't too.
Anyways, regardless, i just want to bring some of HTCs attention to our phones, does it hurt to try ?
The update to 4.3 is a minimum for hox+
