Best PRL???? - HTC EVO 3D

I am struggling finding a decent PRL... Does anyone (specifically in MI) have any recommendations for the best PRL to use? If so, can you point me to where I can get the .prl file to load manually?
Thanks in advance!

I would say that 11115 is the best PRL. It allows full Sprint access, as well as full 3G roaming on Verizon's network.

Do you have the .prl file for 11115 that you can share?

Here you go. Use in conjunction with Roam Control application, or similar ROM functionality to get the most out of the data available.

This man is right. If you find yourself in an area with bad Sprint speeds, simply use Roam Control to force yourself to roam. Then, when you get done what you need to get done, simply jump back to the home network.

So how do you use the attached prl? Do you have to change your prl back and forth along with roam control?

##775# then enter your MSL and choose the PRL file.

And if ##775# doesn't work it means you need the latest epst.apk. Oh, and for this method you need root, otherwise you will need to find the other method, which is long and a pain, and not at all noob friendly

Thanks, since it didn't work... epst.apk is dated 01 Aug 2008 07:00:00 seems like that qualifies as old.
Where can I find the newer one?
Also, where do I put the PRL files?
TIA!

You can get that apk out of virtually any sense rom out of the developers section. Just download the zip file and the extract. You will need to extract the prl as well and I recommend putting the prl file in the root directory of your sd card.

It has been working bad for me too. When I first used it, i was getting great speeds (1500 kbps). Then, suddenly, it started to slow down (300 kbps). The same goes for 11114 and 11120. The PRLs only seem to be fast for the first 10 mins I use them.

You will never get the best speeds on that PRL, it is best to use if you want to limit the amount you roam, but you will sacrifice speed. It is a compromise if you are one of the people that believes you shouldn't be using custom PRL to roam more than you use on network.

What PRL do you recommend if I want to force the roam over to a Verizon tower when I'm in a poor coverage area for Sprint?

I've got a dilemma

So my phone all of sudden has been getting really slow data speeds. I'm talking 50-100 kbps down. It's not the area because I just compared it to my friend's Evo 3D while we in the same room and he was getting over 1 mbps. I already updated my profile, prl and data profile and it didn't make a difference.
If I take it in to Sprint repair, they're probably going to update the firmware and software right? I'm on HBOOT 1.4 right now and I definitely don't want HBOOT 1.5.

Did you make any changes to your phone before the slow speeds started? New ROM? New kernel? New radio? Also, if you keep your hboot S-off, it won't mater if they update it, you can revert back to 1.4. Updating it won't set you back to S-on.

Nope. My phone is completely stock, s-on, unrooted. Should I get s-off and then take it in?
If your phone is stock, call Sprint at *2 and have them send a reset to the phone. That would most likely correct your problem.

Well, it depends. Do you have intentions of rooting and flashing down the line? If so it's easier if you're S-off. If you don't, then it won't matter if you update. I'm still not very clear of Sprint's policy of working on phones that are S-off.

Just the basic settings in the phone. It would no effect any contact data, apps or such. It's the quickest fix for problems such as yours. It would even work with a rooted phone and likely all they would do at the Sprint store.

The benefit is that, it allows you to roam on Verizon and use 3G data while roaming. A standard Sprint PRL will let you roam but only use 1x data while roaming.
The downside is that if you use too much data (some say over 300MB) while roaming each month, Sprint will cancel your service.

I hoped they would come through. I think things will get better, lte speeds from Verizon are off the chain good, if sprints is going to be like that with lte than we really have something to look forward too. Its faster than my cable wifi at home lol. I won't cry over the $10 premium data fee. Of course we have to upgrade to lte phones first.

Evo LTE PRL (24003)

For kicks, I used the stock PRL for the EVO LTE (24003) on to my Photon. Wow my data flies with it hovering around 1600kbps - 2300kbps down and 500kbps up. I attached the PRL file below with some screen shots. the first on is my status screen showing the PRL version. The second is my Sprint 3g speed. The last is my roaming. Feel free to try it at your own discretion and I'm not responsible if anything good or bad happens to your device.
Here are instructions to manually update your PRL. You'll need to be on a blur based rom and have your phone's MSL.

Update. A friend let me update their E4GT with this PRL and their phone could not connect to a Wimax tower. My guess that this PRL is CDMA and LTE only with not Wimax tower info. We were able to fix this by flashing another PRL.

Nothing really special about this PRL. It just has the typical 800mhz scans for Chicago. Nothing else real special.

Its called QoS...I was expected something like this...wimax was never the issue ...it was the overall sprint bandwidth ...so now with lte coming how do hide that lte vs wimax was never the issue...it was the network behind it?...you set a network QoS to give most of the bandwidth to the lte devices and shortchange the non lte...even if you not using lte...the network will put the new stars of sprint lineup to the head of the line to make the look faster....wonder why you see all the reports of ever slower g3 on sprint for the other phones?...you just lower in the qos pecking order..you get what left of the bandwidth...you flying standby..the new first class phone fly first class on the backside of the network even if the local phone link to the network is just 3g

PRL 11115 back to LTE

If I update my PRL to Sprint's 11115 PRL (using this method), I assume that I will lose LTE access (which I don't have anyway).
Under that assumption, if I want to regain LTE, all I would have to do it update the PRL over the air (back to 25004), correct?
I go on trips to Atlanta sometimes and would like LTE when I go, but 3G roaming sounds too good to pass up.
