OK, try not to go all flame mode on me, but I have a wifi Acer Iconia with a Galaxy Tab 10.1 rom on it. I like the fact that the Iconia has a USB, but I have the sgs2 from sprint and want the 2 to match. My question is, if I install the stock galaxy tab messaging app, will it work with Google voice? If it does or you simply don't know, can someone provide me the APK? I want to be able to send and receive texts on my tablet and phone alike, and already have my gv n sprint number combined. And yes, I'm aware of the Bluetooth app that lets you send and recieve messages on my tab, but it has some issues. Thanks in advance for any help.

Wait, you put a gt10 ROM on an iconia? I had no idea that was possible. Pretty rad. I had the iconia for a bit too; nice port options but terrible design flaws (the gap on the bottom edge that cuts into your hands after you hold it for a bit!) and too heavy. Meh, not like you care.
I don't know about the stock messenging app (not sure there is one, honestly) but a good place to look would be the OPs of the ROMs. They usually have a "apps removed" download for folks who want the apps the dev didn't put in.
Hope that gets you to what you're looking for. Cheers.

Yes I did get a gt10 rom running, all except the lock screen and the sound setting (like for more bass, etc) work. On the 3g/4g models there is, our initial port was from the Verizon model, and had the app. It didn't function on our wifi model, so it was pointless. I'm downloading a stock deodex rom now to see if i can extract it, ill report back later. Btw as for design flaws, I haven't noticed any on mine. As for weight, I put a thick ass leather case on it anyway. For me the full USB, micro SD, and the ability to use conventional cords is more important to me (I have a ton of electronics so proprietary cords everywhere piss me off :/ ) but, that's why they make both tablets, freedom of choice oh n if you think that's crazy, back when 3.2 was only out for the xoom, I built my own rom with the base of 3.2 from the xoom, touchwiz, the buttons, Polaris office, Asus web storage n many Widgets from the transformer, the Dolby and sound app from the thrive, and the USB support and micro SD from the Iconia, all on an overclocked kernel to 1.6 ghz. I haven't had much time for development on my Iconia, as I've been developing for my E4GT lately
If I was helpful, give thanks
Sent from my Epic 4g Touch
I looked around and didnt see any issues with touchscreens but i will try to describe my issue.
I got my prime on Monday and it had a serial number so i was able to upgrade to ICS right off the bat. I had the very low wifi issue reported here already but it was usable albeit slow.
But i noticed when pressing the touchscreen it doesnt always respond.. Some examples. In dolphin browser when trying to go back up or page down or swiping left to get the favorites/history etc, i have to swipe like 4 times. I have an Acer Iconia and i never have that issue and reads the swipe on the first attempt. Same with my Nook Color running ICS. Another example, News republic, where you need to swipe from left to right to go to the next article. It works but i need to use considerable effort to get to swipe.
Is there a setting In the prime to adjust the screen response or calibrate. I remember seeing it WHEN I WASNT LOOKING FOR IT, but now that i need it, i cant seem to find it.
Anyone else had issues like this? I really love the prime but the touchscreen not working correctly is a definite showstopper. I went through hell ordering this so i dont want to give it up that easy.
Phone details are in my signature. I reset the phone right out of the box as I always do when new phones or after doing a software upgrade.
I've noticed that marketplace isn't notifying me of app updates available.
When I buy something, it keeps says I have to buy over and over again and never lets me download the app even though I get the email confirmation from MS.
The on-screen keyboard, at the password screen or even when I go to start a text, there is a full 1 second delay or more in the first letter/number I push, always. Is this a defect in the touch screen or software?
My old WP7 had none of these issues.
Anyone else?

Take it back and get another one. At a store they should swap it right there and then. It could be software related like every phone at launch has issues or a serious hardware problem

Have you synced your device with the desktop Zune client yet? It might be worth a go before you finally swap it.

Yes so I could sync all my pics, video, etc.
I already have the device setup exactly how I want it, I'd hate to return it when there is no backup/restore option in Zune. Dang it.
If its a software issue we can rule out Factory Reset... and that Im aware of there hasn't been an RUU leak for 8112 for the titan2 so flashing it is impossible.
Was the issue present from the get go? Like the moment It was turned on before setting up anything?

After turning on my phone out of the box, I went straight and did a hard reset. So I noticed everything after that. Marketplace not notifying of app updates and the touchscreen keyboard issue yes. I only tried buying that app after reinstalling all the other apps I had bought for my previous WP so I can't say about that issue.
I think I will just hang onto the handset until the Tango update is released and hope that resolves the issues.
UPDATE: Looks like marketplace is now notifying me of app updates correctly now and the app purchase I made has no gone through. I guess something was maybe going on with MS's side of things. I'll just deal with the keyboard/dial pad delay thing and hope Tango fixes it, it's only delayed on the first character I enter when I start typing anyway.

A temporary fix is just to turn off the "key press" sound. Once sound is off, there is no delay. Same issues with the Focus S and my Titan 2.

Thank you, that worked! I wonder why some windows phone have this issue and some don't? Perhaps the quality & latency of the nand flash? I have noticed this phone is a little slower than my Arrive was.
I had the exact same keyboard / touch screen delay issue. Turning off the keybaord sound definitely seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks.
I had a Lumia 900 and trades it for the HTC Titan II because of the camera issues with the Lumia. The HTC is better in my opinion but the tap delay issue was a real pain and I did not experience it with the Lumia.
I'll give it a shot, too as I have the delay. I also swapped out my Lumia for a Titan 2 and very much prefer it.
I have exactly same issue on my titan II.
I used focus before titan II. But focus hadn't this issue.
I think it can be fixed but now I feel inconvenience a lot.

Re-flash the ROM with stock ROM. HTC they have serious problems in doing their initial setup. I had problems with my 2 HTC devices, and flashing helped me.

Do you have the stock ROM for the Titan II?
Anybody please help with htc stoke rom for titan 2, thanks
Stock ROM is much appreciated ! Anyone with some information ?
i too had the keyboard issue, but have mostly gotten used to it, but it would be nice to have it fixed while keeping the keyboard sound.
another issue im having is more hardware related- when i press lightly, on the edges of the screen, there is a "glow" around the area i press like on a pc when you touch the screen. i can also feel the screen around the edges bending slightly, like the screen is loose. anybody else have this?
i have never had this on anything else with a touchscreen- ive had 2 iphones, a samsung gs2 skyrocket, and an asus transformer prime

That is probably because of the unibody design they've opted for. This issue is much similar to what annoyingly cheap hardware feeling I get when I press hard on "Windows" softkey. You can feel the spring and at times it makes that cracking sound too. But from what I've read around, as time passes on with these unibody designs, the back case get lose and so does the front chasis. Probably that "glow" you are referring to is due to lose screen chasis?

no one else has this? because the phone is brand new and did this out of the box
I'm actually having this problem as well new right out of the box. But also its not only the keyboard sound but sound in games as well. When I play games its really glitchy as the game will pause for a split second when there is a long enough gap in sound.
I bought the phone new in box unopend off craigslist for my girlfriend so im not sure if I can get this warrantied. Additionally I tried flashing the stock rom like people have been suggesting but with no luck the issue is still present.
Its a shame that such a nice phone could have such a frustrating problem right out of the box. My first gen wp the HTC Arrive never had this issue. Yet I really haven't seen much online or a fix expect whatever has been said on this thread.
Can my girlfriend just simply activate the phone and take it to at&t and get it replaced without proof that she bought it at the store?

I found that if you turn off key press sounds and disable the sound enhance, the phone works much much better.
Hey guys, I stumbled across another thread that went unsolved (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37479033) and was wondering if anyone had the same problem? I've been able to clear it on rare occasions though.
As you can see, there is no clear notifications button since it is apparently an ongoing task. So far the only way to fix it is to obviously just turn them off. Any ideas?
Running "Shiny" ROM from Rootzwiki, 4.2.2 Galaxy Nexus
Same Problem
I have the exact same issue. I contacted Zynga support to see if it was a bug, but they had no idea why it was occurring. The last response they gave me was "We forwarded a report to our team for an immediate review in regards with your game issue. Rest assured that a fix will be applied with the soonest time possible."
Running Stock 4.2.2 Verizon Galaxy Nexus
So after being a long time apple user and long time iTunes hater ... I managed to sell my iphone 4 and bought a samsung galaxy S4, did the same for my other half...
Keep in mind, this is a brand new, no-root, default phone.
The issue basically is notifications, for whatsapp ( at the moment since I haven't set up anything else that requires push, besides gmail). The issue is once I turned the screen off, either manually or by itself. whatsapp notifications randomly stop arriving until I turned on the screen, completely close the app and open it again, the same goes for 2 other devices ( 3 in total), this happens with wifi or mobile data
Device #1. new s4,
Device #2 new s4
Device #3 Samsung galaxy young running 4.1.2 JB.
Now, device #3 belongs to a friend of mine who told of these issues a couple of months ago, however I did pay attention as I just figured it was network connection or wifi or whatever be it.
I've googled the hell out of this and it is apparently an android issue:
it's not telco related in my case, because i had NO ISSUES on my iphone 4 nor my best half's 4s.
Anyway, hopefully someone here has been through something similar and been able to fix it? I've searched the forums and there's apparently a widespread issue, but not fix as of 4.2.2?
New to the forum, I originally posted this here
neowin.net/forum/topic/1163306-android-notifications-woes-with-whatsapp/[/url]
Which eventually led me to post here so.
Edit: just figured this is posted in verizon gs4... is there a forum for international unlocked 9500? would a mod be so kind to move it without deleting this?
