You need to wipe data. Wiping the system doesn't get rid of the data partition.
Try using super wipe?
wipe
yes you need to do a full wipe and use a super wipe tool and then flash rom

Need help

Hi there, I have a noob question here (cdma). I am at mean ROM 3.3 with hboot 1.50 s-on. I also have the latest 4ext recovery and flash image GUI. I am desperately trying to flash mean 3.7 but everytime I tried to flash all I get is an error opening package (bad). I tried to redownload for couple of times but the problem persists. I tried flashing the kernel (chad's anthrax) first and the kernel is successfully flashed, but the ROM still fail to flash.
Anyone can help?

wiping battery stats is uneccessary. when you wipe data, you wipe battery stats.
batterystats.bin ..... directory is /data/system/batterystats.bin
again, uneccessary. clearing the data partition does this. every single time you flash a ROM and do a "full wipe" you are clearing this bin file and resetting it's statistical data about your battery usage.
it has no effect on battery life whatsoever.

I agree mate. But, do u have any idea why I can't flash the ROM? I have redownloaded many times just in case my downloaded file is corrupted, still the same though.

"Android is Upgrading"

At the start of every reboot... this started after a wipe of the cache and dalvik to try and make the Adobe Flash Plugin update work today.
Waiting as patiently as possible for the next leak.
on which ROM region are you now?

Factory reset and wipe cache via recovery to fix it.

I understand a factory reset will fix it... but should we have to factory reset to simply wipe the cache and the dalvik cache.?

Phone startup failed

Hi everyone !
As a new Android user, I'm in a need of help... My GS3 is running Omega 8.1 (not sure of the version...) and I've tried to install the battery fix thingie but now I an't start the device anymore.. It's stuck on a screen and I can't do anything about it. Tried CWM recovery mode to restore a back up I've done before but it says it can't mount /sdcard or something like that...
Is my phone bricked ? Is there a way to rollback what I've done and save my datas ?
Thanks for your help.
Here's a screen of what I have when I start the phone :
Boot into cwm, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, then advanced, wipe dalvik, then try restoring

[Q] Bootloop

Hi,
I'm on stock rom. But because of flashing a wrong zip (with aosp camera) my phone got into a bootloop. The first time it boots it go's to homescreen right before I have to press my pin. The second boot it doesn't go further than samsung logo. I tried reflashing stock ROM without wipe. Still got the bootloop after that. Is there a way to solve this problem? If not, is there a way to backup my sms and whatsapp in recovery?
Thanks in advance!
