Even if there was a way to do so, I don't think it would be really worth it. It's like trying to connect to XBL using dial-up; super slow more than anything.
when i use wifi tethering the very few games it lets me join due to strict nat type have bareley any lag especially if its a good host with fast internet. it isnt as slow as dial up as i get 3g signal which is way faster than edge/gprs so if i only got edge/gprs then the speed, would be dial up speed and wouldnt even connect to a game even with open nat type i bet. all i want is an easy way to open the nat type cos i get quite fast internet. also the sound from people talking in party, game chat etc bareley gets crackeled up which you would expect with this connection. someone needs to develop an app to open the nat type and if it has already been done, someone please upload it and post it here.

I don't play gta5 live, but I need an internet connection to save game progress. My smartphone does not have WiFi, it does have Bluetooth and USB tethering. I've searched to see if Xbox 360 has Bluetooth capability. Nothing definitive yet.

This has me scratching my bonce too. I don't have internet at home but have a internal network in the house with wifi switch (for laptops, NAS and streaming media to xbox). The only internet I have is my all-you-can-eat data plan on 3 (UK).
I have easytether which connects laptop flawlessly but should also connect xbox 360 / Wii / ps3 but I get an MTU error on xbox. Annoying as I need to connect to Live! to update console and play a new game (also all my bought games revert to demo mode offline) Anybody got any progress on this?

i dont think that bluetooth is a good way to stream music from your pc (to slow short reach and uses allot of battery)
If your computer has a wifi adapter than you can use your computer as an hotspot by using Connectfy http://www.connectify.me (only if you have windows 7)
and install Gmote server on your pc and Gmote from the market
When you have windows XP you have to create an AD HOC connection and use the AD HOC support hackhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1170232

Adhoc + AllShare would do the job
But i generally use wifi to stream over my mobile from laptop via AllShare!!! The only disadvantage of Allshare is that you cant run it in background
Greetings, my home internet is a 3G wireless card from a Sprint reseller because for the time being that's the only "decent" internet I can get. While I have an excellent signal (-54 dBm) the speed is often slow as dial-up which makes watching Netflix on my desktop or PS3 next to impossible.
I can use the Netflix app on my phone and hook the phone up to my TV to watch just fine, clearly Verizon has a better network attached to the tower than Sprint. But I would rather use PdaNet to watch on my Desktop. The problem with this is that, because of the way PdaNet works the Netflix web page tells me that my "computer" is not supported.
Would anyone happen to know a work-around?

Don't use pdanet, use a wireless tether method for now, search the market for barnacle widow tether, it will work fine, have been using it to watch netflix

Thanks for the replies but sadly my desktop does not have a wireless card or dongle. I was hoping to use a wired solution. Does Barnacle offer a bluetooth mode that would support Netflix?
Hi,
I recently bought Xperia S - that has separate HDMI and USB ports, so i was thinking if i could use the device to play pc games and stream video and sound via my phone to tv.
The phone can stream 1280x720 resolution to tv, so i was thinking i could create some kind of onlive-like experience, by plugging phone to tv and connecting keyboard/mouse to it via usb hub/bluetooth - and WIFI streaming output from pc to my phone then to tv.
Is there any app i could use to archieve my goal?
I am pretty sure OnLive is kind of what you are looking for! You can't run windows on your phone, so this is as close as it gets!
Hope this helps! Hitting the thank button if I helped it much appreciated

You misunderstood, i dont want to run windows on my phone, i want to stream video/audio/input between my pc and phone - yes, same thing that OnLive does but with my own games on pc. I just dont want to use onlive - i want my local pc in other room - so far the closest thing out there seems to be kainy...
I know, I was just saying, I have tried several things and there is not really pc streaming to your phone that is instance from pc to phone. It has some lag.

I don't think this is possible. Closest you'll get is Onlive as previously stated or using teamviewer.

Actually - ive figured out what i need to do - thankfully i can come by with 10 meter hdmi cable from pc to tv. So ill do this.
Bought "kainy" app from the market, bought samsung USB-otg adapter and a cheap usb hub. I will run kainy on minimal gfx and sound settings, plug keyboard and mouse to usb adapter so i will be able to stream input to pc via kainy.
HDMI output will its job for video and audio.
I've also tried super snes emulator with logitech rumble pad connected via usb to my phone - thos works awesomely well - a mobile console/emulator replacement, the only problem i experience now is that phone slows badly when i enable tv out via hdmi from my Xperia

The only thing that could work is OnLive. VNC is too laggy for gaming. At least over my network.
Well i intend to use it only between 2 rooms, not over internet - if onlive works - local wifi should work better

I don't see this not being smooth/fast enough either, but who knows, maybe he will get it working.

well, i already got kainy working on my tv - but the compression is horrible, so i've decided instead to byu 8-10m HDMI cable and connect my pc -> tv directly , and just use phone as remote hub for keyboard, mouse - the lag for input should be minimal enough to play fps online - and probably way better option than onlive.
Is it possible to transfer the video (like Netflix) from the SGS3 to a laptop (Asus G74S) to watch it on the bigger screen? I don't have access to a TV most. of the time but I have mylaptop.
I couldn't find an answer on Google or search but I'm trying to research on my phone.

A bit confused on what your trying to do... You can just go to netflix on your computer and watch it.
If the problem is that you don't have internet on your laptop, you can use one of quite a few different tethering apps. That way you can use your cell phone's internet on your laptop.
As for any video that you have on your phone itself, you can plug it in and transfer the files. Or if you don't have a wire you can use bluetooth or adhoc network to transfer the files.
Unfortunately Verizon charges for tethering. On grandfathered on data and don't want to change it. I want it mostly for Netflix but I am a truck driver and stable internet is often hard to find, even on a lot of pay services.

i think the best way to slove is contact with minecraft's developoer.
Make sure the host in "in game" before trying to connect. I've never had a problem and use several devices. S3, one, one x, nexus 7, they all connect fine with one another
