Hi guys. I got my X10 yesterday, but i got a few problems with it.
I used Miui but the battery drain was a bit to hard. So i switched to Wolfbreak-009. I want to install the undervolted DoomKernel-03-X too but if i do that the system stucks in the white Sony-Logo and reboots the whole time.
I have flashed like this:
Stock 2.1
Baseband-67
Wolfbreak-009
CustomKernelEnabler
bootloader_bypass_files_v04
Doom-03X
Doom-03XWifi
I think i have chouse the wrong order or anythink else?
after wolfbreak rom install free kernel 3.60 and forget all other you mentioned...
reboot phone....
phone off... enter xrecovery and flash with doom kernel
I will test it.
Thanks
So i tryed it. Flashing fresh Wolfrom-009->FreeKernel3.60->Reboot->Poweroff->DoomKernel0.3X->WLOD...
So this dosen't work ...
The undervolted 0.3X works perfekt on my last MIUI.
Hello everybody, being a new member, i am not allowed to post in developers section, so i'll ask here:
Which kernel is inside this ROM?
Is any kernel inside zip file?
I ask, because in some posts is suggested to flash separately ZombiePanic kernel, but title of whole thread is "[ROM] MiniCM7 Pro - V14 (With ZombiePanic Kernel)". So i am a bit confused. In this moment, i am back on V10, becuse of WiFi problems, waiting for V15.
In V10, my phone says kernel version is 2.6.29, [email protected] #1
Question is, when V15 comes out, do we have to flash ZP kernel, or it is already inside ROM?
Thanks!
This ROM has been designed to work in kernel Zombie Panic or original kernel, but it works better in zombie panic kernel.
zombie panic kernel is not included in this ROM, see the first page under the link ROM, there link to the thread kernel zombie panic or zip module (if you don't want to use kernel zombie panic)
here link to the zombie panic kernel thread
sorry my bad english
Thanks Steve, that was my idea, too. But thread title is confusing, suggesting, at least to me, that zombie kernel is included. Would be possible to include zombie kernel inside new ROM and do complete process at once?

thats not possible for now...u have to install them separately!
One more question... is kernel backed up when backup is made with CVM? If I install zombiepanic kernel after installing V14, and restore V12 backup afterwards, will stock kernel also be restored?
No, because the kernel isn't a part of the ROM and it isn't any DATA, so if you make a CWM recovery with the Stock kernel, then you installed and restored the 1st backup (with stock kernel) the kernel will still be ZP/D4K

CWM is used for backing up and restoring the ROM instead of the kernel, you can backup and restore using CWM but had no effect on kernel. To change kernel there is only one way, using flashtool.
Thanks folks, very clear and helpfull answers!
I have not been able to test this version, I'm testing V15, but it is waaaay too slow.
Yes, i can confirm that. V15 is really slow, even my ringphone is interupted every half second while ringing. Back to v12!

How is the battery life in V12?
I was using V9, wich was for me, the most stable release, but, I had the notification bar problem, and battery was dead after 7 hours of 3G network use.
Then, I updated to V15 and the battery is so much better, but, i can't stand the slow system, Do you recommend me V12?
I can't say anything about battery life for now in v12, after V13 I went back to v10 waiting for v15. Since v15 is so slow, I restored v10 from backup and just overwrite with v12, without factory reset or cleaning caches. So far, so good... 4 hours from 100% to 90%, wifi on. I do not use 3g very often, if I don't have wifi nearby, I am usually on 2g. It is fast enough for mail and gmail, and much more gentle to battery.
But I noticed another interesting thing about wifi, v12 and v10, same thing. At home, where signal is excellent, in the same room where router is located I have very often connection breaks, wifi almost always disconnects while phone is sleeping, every few minutes wifi fixer is reassociating and fixing connection. At work, it never happens, even with weaker signal. From first connection it stays solid as a rock. Router issue maybe?

If you have a problem with wifi, wifi disconnected when phone is sleep.
try to change wi-fi sleep policy :
go to setting>wireless & networks>wifi setting and pres menu buton, chose advance. in wi-fi sleep policy chose never.
Thanks stiv, but sleep policy is already set to never, as you said. That's why I am saying it is interesting behavior on two different routers.
Help me, please. I just flashed my Optimus One with Goldenleaf kernel BFS v18c yesterday and it wasn't as good as it is reviewed by the users. It did not boost my performance, doesn't make my battery last longer, doesn't have a better gaming performance and what's worst is :
My camera stopped working.
Everytime I restart my phone, it asked me to force close setting.
It always doesn't read my sd card completely.
My gallery stopped working too.
I cannot connect my phone to the computer anymore. (it does nothing but only charge)
A black and white screen (like those in the television when you does not have signal) appears everytime i try to unlock.
The keyboard reacts vey slowly.
It doesn't auto rotate anymore. (Let's just say it doesn't rotate at all anymore.
So this morning i was trying to "un-flash" the kernel to the old stock kernel and flash it again with another kernel but couldn't find anything in the internet. I got angry and just flashed it with the new kernel (Goldenleaf BFS v18a) without "un-flashing" it first. I flashed it with Goldenleaf BFS v18a because i thought the older version might be more stable.
After i flashed it with Goldenleaf BFS v18a, the same thing still continue to happen.
I couldn't find anything in the internet. I don't know what to do, can anyone help me, please ?! Your help is very much appreciated.
When you flash a kernel different to the default rom, the only way to get back to that default rom kernel is to reflash the rom, in your case my best bet is your using cm7 6.5.8. That being said the latest updated franco kernel is cfs 19.2. Somethings wrong with the brain **** scheduler (bfs)..your best bet, reflash everything and start from scratch, do your backups than wipe everything in recovery, before I ever flash a rom or kernel..I always wipe cache and dalvik cache than flash than wipe cache/dalvik cache..the most important lesson is knowing a .32 kernel (goldenleaf, franco 19.2) are designed for .32 roms ,you can't mix a 35 kernel with 32 RIM or you'll end in a bootlop...read everything you can before you flash anything because those problems you say your experiencing I never once had myself.. don't expect gold, franco and fserve work there asses off trying to her good kernels out. To recap: either use fserves goldenleaf or francos cfs 19.2 but restart everything before you do, get a clean slate...inbox me if you got the same problems, alot of devs are tied up at the moment

Can you show me a step by step tutorial? I'm really bad in this. I took 2 days to root my phone, that's how bad i am. And one more thing, it doesn't auto apply my Golauncher theme which i had moved to SD card when i turned it on and the keyboard reacts very slowly.
thanks for solving
Hello Guys.
This is my first question or issue that I would like to share.
I have a GSII international version and currently rooted running ICS 4.0.3 stock (I guess) with CWM V3.15 .
Now the deal is that whenever I flash any rom, most of the time works except when I use Siyah Kernel for some reason I get Kernel Panic mode but with other Kernels work fine I'm trying CM10 and RR 4.1.1.
The installation goes well and the phone works but as soon as I let the screen go to sleep for more than 4 minutes the phone gets stuck and I have to do a hard reset then it starts working normally and when the screen goes off again bam! frozen!..is not an app issue cause I've tried with no apps and its the same thing.
Now one curious thing is that once I flash I cannot go into CWM for some reason.it just won't go ..another thing that I want to mention is that before I installed it and it was happening the same thing and I change the CPU governor and it seems that it fixed the problem and I was able to use the rom with no problems for about a week or so, but now that I had to re install it again I went and I change the CPU governor and is not fixing the freezing problem.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Baseband: I910XXLPS
Kernel: 3.0.15-I9100XXLPB-CL99600 [email protected]#3
Build: IML74K.XXLPB
just to not leaving any place to doubts full wipe (format /system /data, wipe cache, dalvik and factory resets) and flash an stock rom. try it for a while..if it keep doing that...take it to service...
try flashing another kernel , the one i use and it's wroking perfectly is siyah 3.3.3d
This is my first post here so please excuse any violation of rules.
So, I was running CWM recovery + Siyah kernel + CM10.1 + Touchwiz 4.1.2 (dual boot setup) perfectly fine on my Galaxy s 3 for almost a year. But yesterday I decided to update all of those and updated to latest CWM using ROM manager, then changed the kernel to googy max2 and installed CM11. Everything worked properly except that my phone would freeze or hang up randomly at any time(whether swiping through homescreens or updating apps or even during standby). So I changed my ROM to S4 Revoution ROM (tried with both googy max2 and devil kernel). However, even this ROM gave me same hangup problems. So I moved onto TWRP recovery+ OmniRom but still encountered the same problem multiple times. After getting tired of wasting so much time, I came back to my original setup of CWM+Siyah kernel+CM10.1 thinking I wouldn't face this problem again, but to my aghast, the phone would still freeze randomly. Only a power button reboot would help. Please help, I have no idea what might be causing the problem as I have successfully tried every combination of recovery, kernel and ROM but to no avail. And no, I never manually tinkered with any CPU/GPU frequencies or voltages. Your time and help is greatly appreciated, Thank you.
PS: One more very important thing I forgot to mention, CPU-Z shows most of the time all 4 cores of the CPU stay at 1400MHz even though minimum speed is 200MHz. I have noticed this in S4 revolution ROM with googy max2 kernel and pegasusq governor(currently using this setup on my phone). Also, the "devil kernel" app on this ROM shows CPU either stays in deep sleep mode or 1300-1400MHz frequency.
Can't take screenshot for some reason in this ROM otherwise I would have uploaded those too. Thank you.

Did you do a complete wipe before installing all these roms? Wipe Dalvik Cache and Cache partition. I am running WanamLite 7.3 with stock kernel and Wanam Xposed. Here is the link to the rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1705866
Reboot into custom recovery. Do a full wipe, even though this rom says that it is not necessary but it is always a good idea to do a full wipe before flashing. Try this out and let's try to fix your problem.

Yes, and not just once, but every time I flashed a new ROM. I'm thinking my only option now is to unroot and go back to stock but i am unable to find my country's rom. (found one on sammobile but the download speed refuses to go beyond 2-3kbps).

Try WanamLite 7.3. Use the link I gave. And install it after doing a complete wipe. See if that makes a difference.

Thank you for the suggestion but i'm afraid that would not help as i have already tried 4 different roms, one of which i used for a year without any problem, but still facing the hangup only since yesterday. plus, I have gone through enough trouble restoring my accounts/apps/contacts and all (especially whatsapp) again and again for the whole of yesterday every time i flashed a new rom. the problem is not related to the rom. thank you, again.

See, most of the things in your phone are software related. It is very very rare that you might have damaged the hardware. I see mismanagement of the resources by the ROM or kernel in your phone. What are the steps you are doing when installing a new ROM and which custom recovery are you using?
Full wipe flash stock rom and test ,
Read the FREEZING sticky and SDS sticky .

I did a full wipe, flashed everything again, did the emmc check as well as the dummy file generator thing....the hangups have reduced to 2-3 per day from 2-3 per hour but are still there. Should I downgrade my cwm recovery?
If you are rooted try the COMPLETE unrooting procedure mentioned at various places by flashing the latest stock firmware available from sammobile. This is to make sure your device software is like brand new. Test it for at least a day. Do a mega wipe (erasing everything even on internal SD card) before which can fix it in some cases.
When rooting again make sure you have the most bug free version of the recovery. CWM 6.0.4.4 is known to have minor problems here and there but nothing concerning to this topic.

Hi guys, I experience the same problems: I'm in any app and I press home to go back to the home menu => my phone's freezing for 5 seconds and then I see all my icons/folders/widgets slowly appearing. I would like to know how to complete format my internal SD card like you said. Thanks in advance.
by pressing the powerkey+homebutton+volume up for about 8-10 seconds you are taken to a recovery menu. You can choose to factory reset over there. That fixed problems in most cases. The only way to wipe the internal partition as well would be to install stock firmware which is a part of unrooting, this will erase everything and put a original rom in your phone.. You can follow the unrooting processes written in many posts in xda
Ok thanks for this quick answer ! So the only way to erase the internal SD card is the unrooting method?

As far as i know yes. Its not any trouble at all, wont take much time, except the firmware you would have to download. Its not needed in most cases. As i said before you may only need a factory reset so try that before! And just hit the thanks button
