I tried to install the new route 66 maps + navigation, but the app is not compatibel.
see: market.android.com/details?id=com.route66.maps5
Anyone knows if it is the screensize or any other reason why?

I need an BENELUX version or even better: Europe
tomtom is the best - this site does not condone piracy / warez
so buy it. - it's worth it.
iGo plus?

Have igo miomap and works fine... Have had no problems with it.Tomtom 6 for preference though.... Cheers...

If you want to go the free route:
Smart2Go (routeplanning, location aware, allows for offline work, but does not provide instructions)
Google Maps (similar to Smart2Go regarding functionality, but no offline option)
Nav4all (provides spoken instructions, no offline option)
Similar projects worth checking out are AmazeGPS (beta for wm had been released, haven't tried it yet) and navigami.

Does Igo8 run smooth?
I used the old igo before but it stutters....when I get a phone call, the whole phone locks up.
With TomTom, I can still get phone calls no problem.
I used odessey 4.0, it was good! Maps maybe outdated a bit, but it worked fine where I am.
Tom Tom 6 works fine
Garmin Mobile XT works, but I only can install the Benelux
I love Garmin, so: does anyone has a suggestion how I can get all Europe on it?
Simple Answer
the one and only answer to the question for the best navigation software:
it's iGo 2008, with 3d navigation, super detailed buildings and an amazingly fast screen.
Maps are dated April 2008...
I tried IGO 2008.
Contrary to what other are saying...IGO 2008 is really not suitable for Hermes if you're planning to use the phone features of your phone.
IGO 2008, although runs properly by itself in hermes, if you get a call or whatever while running GPS, your device slows to a crawl. The software uses too much ram imo.
I prefer TomTom because it has a small footprint and does the job right without harming other features of the phone.
I do like the IGO 2008 graphics alot, it is by far the best. But not worth the trouble if you want to get calls or make calls while gps is running.

Google Navigator
I am thinking about getting the Qstarz BT-Q1300.
Anyone have experience with Google Navigator 4.0 with 3D street view on windows mobile?
Hi
anyone know if the "Nav N Go iGO 8" suppose to run on this new windows mobile 7 platform as is,or there will be new revision like "Nav N Go iGO My way" that they develop for the i phone ?
THX
No one app, developed for WM6.5, would run on WP7 and iGO is not exception. It's going to take some time till we see decent offline navigation for that brand new platform.
i'm hoping for garmin or sygic to whip something up
In Germany Mozart from T-Mobile comes with "NAVIGON select Telekom Edition" (3.11.2010) - at least they are advertising with this :
As a new User I am not allowed to post Links, just browse T-Mobile (.de) -> click on Mozart -> and then on Telekom Apps
Didn't find any anouncement on the Navigon Website though.
WM7 is different OS and you cant use older applications for WM 6.x
WP7 not having a descent GPS map alternative is the only reason I have not switched to WP7 mobile.
I hope Garmin climb on board soon as they have the best maps for Malaysia & Singapore.
So, any news about offline navigation on WP7?
Just read today that Garmin has either submitted or is about to submit to the marketplace
just for the US and canadian market , lets hope that it comes to australian marketplace soon
I am using "Turn by Turn Navigation" by GPS Tuner.
It costs 5 Euros, imho worth the money (for worldwide coverage).
It still uses Bing Maps, however you can select map areas to download for offline navigation.
The only drawback is you need to go online for the route planning (with only some bytes). Once it is planned you can drive offline.
Their free version is limited to 12 miles/20 km routes.
Looks like WM7.5 has a very long way to go.. not able to find any GPS sw for India
Nokia Drive is perfect
Hey, has anyone been able to install the USAA mobile application onto their Archos 32? I think it requires a GPS (for mobile check depositing), but I would absolutely love to have the app. It fails during installation via Market or apk. Is it possible to force install the app as a root user?
Archos 70IT Unsucessful
I tried to install the USAA app on my Archos 70, and was not able to due to the fact that my Andriod device is not supported. My only suggestion is to email USAA support and ask for support on Archos devices...hopefully it comes soon!!
I'm sure this is discussed somewhere, but I am having no success searching for it. Can someone either supply the answer or point me to the right thread?
I live in North Carolina if regions matter.
The 00 ROM has the following:
Tethering
Sideloading
...and does NOT have AT&T crapware in the ROM. 00 ROMs also include the following apps:
Evernote
Pageonce
Quickoffice (Full version)
Copilot Live 8 (30-day trial)
Amazon MP3
Amazon Kindle
Dell Video Stage
Dell Sync
Dell Backup and Restore
Dell "Welcome"
Tune-in Radio
Zinio Reader
I've hidden most of these apps, especially Amazon MP3. Having the Kindle app is kind of cool, since I can download their free books to go along with the 750 etexts I have already. I didn't like the fact the Copilot app was a trial however. Dell should have offered the full version, but for me it's not important as I have a dedicated GPS.
Can it be done? I have several sound meter apps, they all do about the same things. What i want is to be able to set one to say 75 dB, and have the phone vibrate or alarm when it gets above 80 or below 70. Any ideas?
Hi,
I'm looking for a similar app to use it in classrooms. Did you find a solution yet?? Couldn't find a suitable app in the play store so i would like to create one, but would be good to know if there are similar projects around...
