[REQ] Stock Froyo mms.apk non-rooted

Is there any way to port the stock messaging apk to a non-rooted mt4g (2.2.1)? Ive been looking for this for awhile and cant find a solution. Im trying to add it along side the htc messaging app which is really slow and fc's a lot. So is there a dev that can try to make this successful for me please!
Btw: Ive already tried Handcent, chomp sms, and go sms and none have satisfied me.
Thanks

[Q] COMROM Apps on CM7

So i was wondering if it were at all possible to get some of the features or apps from COMROM(Froyo) to CM7? Specifically MMS, I am not a huge fan of the looks of it on CM7 and wanted to know if there is a themed version somewhere out there or a way to get MMS from COMROM(Froyo) working on CM7? Same thing for the clock. The CM7 version doesn't have all the same ringers so is there a fix or something reccommended for that? Also are the apps not the same due to differences between Gingerbread and Froyo. Reason i ask is because Titanium Backup didn't restore some of the things i backed up. Thanks for any help guys.

[Q] Stock GB SMS app (or simular) in ICS?

Hi, after using my HTC Hero since it was launched I finally recieved an SGSII at work.
I really love the phone, and have been able to tweak most things to my likings, but the iPhone-wannabe-ish SMS thread viewer is definately not to my taste. No big issue, ofcourse, but I'm still posting about it in case some of you skilled Android-hackers/users have an easy solution. On my Hero I really loved the look of the SMS app in FroydVillain (Froyo) and Decked (GB). I'm honestly not sure, but I think they both ran stock unthemed SMS apps. Black baground, white text, clean interface without those silly bubbles. I've been trying to do a Google image search but haven't found out how the stock SMS app really looks in ICS so I don't know if the cartoonish iPhone-bubbles are from TW or AOSP.
I dont want some bloated and ugly SMS apps like Handscent or Go SMS that I've heard cause problems like duplicate sms-es.
Also, since the phone is my eployer's I want to avoid flashing/rooting it, so simply installing mms.apk from a different ROM is not possible afaik.
So, any suggestions? I guess I'm sort of hoping someone already compiled a binary/apk based on mms.apk that can easily be installed and used as the default messaging app.

[Q] Lost ability to create contact groups in CM7

Recently flashed CM7 ROM on my Droid X2 running GB 2.3.4
I have noticed that I no longer have the option to create Groups within my contacts. Is this a known limitation in CM7? Anyone else experience this?
Thanks!

Hey alright someone else on CM7 lol. I cannot deal with the buggy and unstable ICS and JB roms, they just drive me nuts.
And yes, I'm pretty sure CM7 doesn't have the groups option, it has a "favorites" tab but that's pretty different. If you really like the create groups function, maybe try some of the app store contact apps. They all are fully loaded with extra features you may or may not ever use, and I'm sure the create groups function is included in almost all of them. They might be a hair slow though.
I've been using ContactsGroupU since I had my original Droid.

CM10 Messaging on Stock 4.2.2?

I pulled the messaging app from CM10 and installed it on TrickDroid. Everything seems to work, but MMS. Would anyone be willing to take a look. I'm pretty sure a lot of folks would like this app. Thanks.
