Evo3d vs skyrocket specs. - HTC EVO 3D

Whats the difference spec wise between a evo3d and the new gs2 skyrocket? The skyrocket has been labled as having a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 APQ8060
dual-core processor. Isnt that close to the evo3ds 1.5ghz (uc) snapdragon 8660? Both having 1gb of ram.
Edit- evo3d is S2 and gs2 is S3. Is that a big deal?

From all I've read and seen, the 1.5 on the skyrocket is the same as ours. And all benchmarks I've seen comparing the SGS2 for ATT and the skyrocket, the original one every time with its 1.2ghz. It uses a better processesor. Other then that, it has a slightly bigger screen, and, well, that's it. To be simple with it
Support TrevE! Fah Q CIQ!!

I dont really think samsung would downgrade thier processora on a newer phone...

The SGS2 has a 1.2GHz Exynos dual-core CPU where the Skyrocket has a 1.5GHz Snapdragon dual-core CPU.

The APQ8060 is the same as the 8660 except it is has the modem removed. This was necesary as it needed LTE.
Also 8660 is S3 and both have adreno 220.

Look at S3 chipsets.

What's the benefit of that?
Better more stable signal
Faster stable speeds
All I want is Verizon esque signal strength indoors
We already have the 800mhz don't we?
boom!! from my shooter
Lmao... I hope you have money for a new phone.
I do haha
but thats beside the point
Now I see the true point of network vision
I didn't watch that unboxing yet, but are you sure he isn't referring to 800 mhz processor rather than radio band? Other reviews I've read said it's 800 mhz processor but apple won't admit it (engaget.com)

I don't think it is because the old iPhone 4 was 800 mhz. Apple adding an A5 processor and keeping it underclocked at 800 mhz is extremely unlikely. I would guess it is around 1 Ghz or 1.2 Ghz...
Well I stand corrected they do say specifically 800 mhz radio band in the unboxing. But they also say 800 mhz processor too.

Clock speed doesn't really matter that much and even at 800mhz it's kicking ass with other processors. Plus as mentioned before, the battery is wonderful due to the under-clocking.
Anyway, the 800mhz band def aint helping with data, so I doubt it's active yet. My 3G on the 4S is slower than on the 3D, which sucks. Signal for voice seems the same between both though.

[Q] Skyrocket GPU

Does anyone know what the GPU is in the skyrocket or the HTC vivid? plus is it a independent GPU like the HTC rezound from Verizon? I ahve looked on phone arena and it doesn't list it like it does for other phones(rezound, artix).
They are both the Adreno 220 GPU
OK tks for the answer, so it should have the same graphics as the rezound from Verizon?

You got it. The rezound is a different CPU but same GPU.

Lg anybody?

I have my eyes on the Evo Lte but..kinda worried guys this phone will get outdated soon?
How long will the Evo Lte last in till it gets owned by some other phone?
I just hope its not like last year.
you guys remember the Evo 3d last year?
2-3 months after its release Galaxy S2 came out with better specs making the Evo 3d look out dated.
Now lets fast forward to today.
LG has a rumored device coming to sprint.
look at these amazing spec guys:
4.67-inch (1280×768) LCD TFT display,
1.5 GHz Qualcomm quad-core Krait processor
Adreno 320 GPU
2GB of RAM
2100 mAh battery
13-megapixel camera
NFC
Damn. wowsers is right.
http://briefmobile.com/lg-ls970-eclipse-coming-with-1-5-ghz-quad-core-krait-cpu
Rumors say its coming this year?!
So I guess my question is the Evo Lte good enough (Future proof) to compete for the rest of the year?
That's technology bud. Everything gets bested eventually. In the end the biggest factor is user experience, and if you're a flashaholic like most people here, the development community. As far as the rumored LG phone goes, based on the specs alone, I would probably get it. However, LG isn't exactly known for timely updates.

I don't see the point in quad core at the moment n the 13mp doesn't mean anything as well as 2gb of ram besides us version will prolly be duel core like the rest due to LTE

They may not be dual core just because of LTE. It's still a krait processor. I thought I read somewhere that all of the new krait processors have LTE built in. I could be wrong but I thought I read that somewhere.

Now those are the type of specs I'm looking for in an upgrade. I go with the Trump rule with phones since technology is constantly innovating.
Hero 768 to EVO 3D 1.2 Dual - CHECK
EVO 3D 1.2 Dual to "G" 1.5 Quad - Absolutely

All but the quad atm least that's what wiki has and the PDF has been pulled everywhere by their legal team.

Technology is outdated as soon as it is released, because they're already working on something better. If you worry about having the best you'll never get a new phone.

New phone

Hello i need some professional help from experienced people i have a galaxy s 2 i9100G and the sgx 540 started showing its age in gaming i am looking for a new phone and im down to 3 choices
Galaxy nexus (i love the design and the huge support by xda and google but has a omap 4460 which is a little faster than my 4430)
Galaxy note (mali 400 is solid and fast but dont know how it performs on 1280x800 and i love the huge 5.3inch )
Htc one s (what i like most about it is the dual core krait snapdragon s4 thats super fast but adreno 225 seems to be as fast as adreno 220 which sucked at gaming i had an evo 3D )
What i need in my new phone is a nice display and a very good gpu for gaming cz i play demamding games like nova 3 and asphalt 7 and good developing support too thx in advance

buy galaxy note, it has better GPU than your other options.
Ps: except you are looking for used phones, new galaxy note is as expensive as a new HTC one x
