I'm sure there will be alot of reviews when the prime hits, but until then if you have any interesting videos or articles on the prime post them here.
Heres one that was posted yesterday...
www.ritchiesroom.com/2011/11/28/asus-eee-pad-transformer-prime-first-look/
The guy that made the video said if you had any questions that he would try to address them in his next video which is suppose to be uploaded today or tomorrow.
Felt more like watching an advertisement than a review.

As far as we know from the article and video, they got the Prime officially from ASUS, so they are maybe a bit biased
That thing is going to be AWESOME anyway

Don't most reviewers get stuff from companies to review though?
Either way didn't seem like an overly ad like review, just a first look as its said to be. Really only times he praises it is the design, the nice ips display, and good sound.
But I can see how the look of the video makes it look ad like!

Agreed. Lots of sites get items to review. Not too many can afford to buy all this great stuff!
And I think the video was well done - good production values and style. I didn't feel it was an ad - simply that the blogger was serious enough to put in the work to make a professional video.
in his youtube video, he says that Asus ask him not to put online is next video before the 1th of December. Maybe a hint for the anouncement Asus is still suppose to make aboutt the Prime !

Same for the guys from ZTOP who put the pictures of the pre-production unit up.
It seems this thing is gloing to be great

Probably so, but it's humorous how Apple gets away with those kinds of reviews on a daily basis and no one cares. It's about time Android stuff had some tech sites on their side.
It looked like one of the pictures on his review page was of a high profile video of the Smurfs playing.
I guess he will be showing that in his next review video on Dec 1st?

What exactly would you expect him to say bad in a this review? He actually does have a few criticisms but really its a pretty general look at the unit and I am not surprised he is impressed with it. The only things he praised that we wouldn't really know ourselves is the ips+ screen and the sound being of good quality.
But he still does level some complaints
With slim form factors inevitably comes some compromises, and in this case the outputs on the Prime aren’t as comprehensive as other models in the market.

I think at least one more USB port could have been added, considering the support for USB devices that Honeycomb, and by extension Ice Cream Sandwich, has now integrated into the platform, making it easier to connect more storage devices and other accessories.

not a criticism but shows not a huge bias as well
Along with the Motorola Xoom 2, Samsung 7.7 and other unconfirmed models from major brands, the Prime represents the next generation of Android tablets, adding their own flourishes and customisation to the platform.

But Video Quality is superb.
Yeah,
I see description is Fashion show in Sweden. The INtel, Asus, Segway booths threw me a curve ball.

No, but that's what I'm waiting on. Input/Output is really lagging behind processor power. Would love to be able to use this as a wearable computer.
Have you seen some video glasses advertised? I would like to check them out.
I found these in Skymall mag here

a little pricey though
the ones in the link say they work with an ipod video or your portable media player, so why not? but don't buy them especially for your ppc without checking

True, but they did state the phone is on Gingerbread 2.2.3.
yeah I think this is the first actual good thorough review that I have read so far. Also he said calls sounded pretty good to him for the most part.
Good review. I'd enjoy it more if they did some call quality, signal strength and battery tests. But they did mention that 3D is just an added extra. Good to see something opposite to Gizmodo's "oww my eyes! I am not going to review it further!" joke of a review.
The 720p movie he shot looks great - no stuttering. I'm thrilled.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62NG2ZJtOZ8&feature=player_embedded
This seems to be a decent review... Besides, I'm interested in the hardware and the OS. The launcher will be LPP very soon after purchase anyway.
Hmm ... They have the Bluetooth listed as 2.1, but HTC/Sprint has stated it would be 3.0. I wonder if this is another change like HTC/Sprint saying 1080p, when we now know it's only 720p.
I'm in the market for a new/first tablet. Out of the current crop of tablets, I'd say the Sony Tablet S looks most appealing to me. However, with the Asus Transfomer Prime coming out sometime soon, getting the Sony Tablet S is a hard decision.
Here's what I want a tablet for:
+Browsing - I want a tablet that is very capable of browsing the internet with ease and fluidity.
+Work/Note-taking/productivity - I want to be able to write articles and write down lecture notes very easily. The Asus Transformer prime's keyboard looks amazing. How is the typing experience on the Sony Tablet S? I like the unique design and it looks like using a touch keyboard could be pretty fast. Is it? The Sony Tablet S also does have a fairly good looking bluetooth keyboard, but it looks like it could be pricey.
+Movies/youtube - I want a tablet that's great for watching videos. The Tablet S does have a HD screen and a "tru-black" display so it sounds optimal for that. Is it a good display in actuality?
+Front-facing camera - I need a tablet capable of doing video chat well. How good is the quality of the Sony Tablet S' front facing camera and video chatting?
+Speed - I don't need a super-powered beast, but I need something that won't struggle on a day-to-day basis and that runs fast. How's the speed and fluidity on this tablet? With the Quad-core transformer prime coming, I want to know how this actually stacks up.
+Camcorder - In actuality I don't plan on using a tablet for its camera or camcorder, but I would have some use for good video recording on a tablet. Not really a factor in my decision, but how is the video recording quality on this thing?
+Design/styling - Both the asus transfomer prime and the sony tablet s look really good. Tablet S is a little more unique but transfomer prime is a bit sleeker design. Either way I think I'd be happy with the look of the devices.
+Future Updates - Sony Ericcson has been really good with putting out updates to their phones this past year. Will Sony continue along that same way with this tablet? The specs on this tablet seem kinda last year, but it did just come out in September so I imagine support for this tablet would carry on for some time. Do you think this tablet will get updates to newer versions of android? Has Sony announced ICS for this yet?
+Pricing/availability - How much do Tablet S tend to go for new? I would imagine transformer prime would be a bit more expensive with it coming out later, but I don't know. I do know I could get a tablet S in Canada fairly easily, but I don't yet know how transformer prime will do in Canada. If tablet S is same price as transfomer prime it seems it would make more sense to go with transformer prime.
+Your opinion? - How has your experience with the Sony Tablet S been? Do you love it? Would you recommend it? Any other thoughts?
Thanks
There is a topic almost just like this 1 RIGHT UNDER! lol. But I will try and give my general opinion.
Having owned the Ipad2, Jetstream, HTC Flyer & Tablet S...
The Tablet S is proficient at everything you described (although there are some issues especially concerning the watching of Youtube vids).
It is not as good as other tablets tho... Everything the Tablet S does, the Jetstream does better, Faster & smoother. On top of that the Jetstream has so many extra bonus features.
Same goes for the Ipad2... Ipad2 does everything the Tablet S does... but better -_- lol. Except maybe flash vids...
For upgrades... I have several Sony TVs, however only 1 sony phone (X10). The X10 was the ABSOLUTE WORST PHONE I HAVE EVER USED. Updates were so late, I had stop using the phone before the first update was pushed out.
I returned my Tablet S and now use the HTC Flyer. Just my opinion... remember to try out all alternatives before investing your cash into a device.

Still, my question is not really vs the ipad mostly vs the other android tablet options. Been searching around the whole night and now I'm even considering the original Xoom lol. Anyways, thanks

Stock keyboard is a bit laggy, Ive switched to split keyboard app since that was my preference on previous tablets anyway but yeah can always go the bluetooth route.

The display is top notch, its bright but not overly saturated with colors (ie Samsung, some people DO like that though). Video play on it great as are view angles.

This is where S table shines, in design. The tablet is a joy to hold and use, yes its plastic but it is solid and doesnt feel "cheap". The magazine style IS noticeably easier to hold over more rectangle/boxy tablets.

We dont know yet to be honest, what we do know is Android 3.2 was available to d/l the day we bought our tablets so it *appears* Sony will push OS updates quickly but we'll have to see. The game store and video store came online about the time they said it would, it didnt drag out for months so another plus.
+Pricing/availability - How much do Tablet S tend to go for new? I would imagine transformer prime would be a bit more expensive with it coming out later, but I don't know. Mine broke and was looking for a replacement, something smaller, better screen (Xoom always had a washed out look to me) and S tablet fit the bill. And yeah I dont get any complaints about Youtube, it works perfectly. My only wish for the app was if you rotate the device it kept playing the video from the same point.

I really hope this isn't an indication that quality control is still going to be poor from ASUS. I went through 3 original Transformers before I got one that didn't have some funky issue (mostly with the display). And all had funky out of balanced speakers.
Sounds like some reviewers got Primes with battery and wifi problems. Hmm.

Yah it is a bit worrisome that 2 reviewers had that problem. Hopefully just a fluke. I am not worried that asus won't replace faulty units but I am just worried that it will take awhile to get a replacement if you need one!

Thanks to this now we see there were never any real battery issue or wifi issue. They were just sent a faulty unit on their initial test run. All looks like promising data to me on The Prime. Clearly gets the best battery life out of all android tablets very closely matches apple ipad1 and 2. Plus that was just in balanced mode. Just think if he would've put it in battery saving mode he could've easily matched or surpassed Apples battery life. Great news to hear.

Wow, tHey did an extensive library of benchmark tests. The most seen so far by a site. It showed the prime being well ahead of the competition by big margins in most categories/tests. Good to hear.
You really have to laugh. Instead of taking down the video completely, I bet some of these websites said screw you we are going to make you (asus) look like idiots. Check out the video...or the video that supposed to be there. Looks like a worse release then the prime!

How?
Not sure what you are talking about, or what assumptions you have made because the video has now been made private, but it actually sounds like the Infinity did very well in the benchmarks:
"All the major benchmarks have been run, and the results are very one-sided. Surprisingly, the Asus completely smokes (and I mean a fire at a cigarette factory!) the iPad in all but one of the tests."

I have watched all three of his videos on the new Infinity, and I can vouch for that statement, completely screaming past the new iPad in the performance tests.
opentoe is downright lying. He has been bashing this device with stupid arguments in other threads too. I hope the mods look into it. I don't know what his motives are.
So lets stop the trolling here.
