will anything happen to my dell if i restore a nandroid from another dell streak user???

I posted in another thread but don't seem to be getting sant responses. Hopefully a dedicated thread will get some attention:
Trying to do a nandroid backup on an o2 streak running 2.1 androot rooted seems to hang when it gets to backing up the data image. I think I've if isolated the problem to the lost + found directory within data.
Is anyone else having the same problem? And more importantly how do I get the nandroid backup to work?
I have tried clearing the lost + found directory but it doesn't work even using root.
The version of clockwork mod I'm using is 2.5.0.1 for the streak. It's the version posted on modaco by paul which seen to be a different size from the one on koush's recovery site.
I have tried both methods of nandroid backup: from the recovery menu and from an adb shell while in recovery.
When I do it from shell it seems to get stuck on the lost + found directory but from recovery menu it just hangs at backing up data until I'm forced to take out the battery

Never people after a few hours i was first able to find the dell drivers from a dell sever, then the computer saw the streak, then i downloaded SDK, then CWM and after some more digging was able to flash it and am currently backing up using nandroid
Once its backup i should be able to flash streakmod 1.9 and go back to stock right?

I installed CM7 on my x10 mini pro but I'd like to give Srom a shot.My question is whether I m going to be able to flash srom with clockworkmod and if I am going ot be able to restore CM7 because last time I tried I bricked the phone.
Make back ups and back ups of them and back up with titanium and give it ago you can resore it them easly but if it does realy break just start again and once you get back root and cwm just restore

I'm wondering if it safe to restore a nandroid backup after changing the baseband and all the stuff
Let me explain: i currently am on Grif_07's CM7 flashed over KS2
What if i back it up, upgrade to KS9 and restore with nandroid?
For one million dollars, after restore:
a) bb stays KS9
b) bb gets back to KS2
c) my ace's future is to be part of a wall
d) BOOM
Funny joke but serious question.

yes,it's safe,happy restoring
CMIIW, if you restore your KS2 Nandroid backup, you will lose KS9 and go back to KS2.
You can try the advance restore options, but I wouldn't bet on it.
(Am I misinterpreting your question? Sorry if I am).
