Hello.
I´m search for an mini-VGA Connector for the Viewpad 10. Can anyone tell me where I can find this?
Forget trying to get it from Viewsonic. I got the run-around from them for 2 months and no cable. I don't think they even sell it.
Go to www.tegav2.com. They sell a Viewpad 10 clone and I was able to get the cable from them. They also have all kinds of hardware and software upgrades if you are interested. Great company wish I had heard of them before Viewsonic.

The ones I saw that were designed for the Mac will not work.

I need to replace the display on my Atom because of that "whistling" problem that lots of users are experiencing (too expensive to send the device to HK from Moscow, and the chances to get it back with a good screen are not 100%), but the guys here told me they couldn't find any info on which type/model/make of the screen is installed on Atoms. You just do some googling for a local supplier of electronic parts / components. I'm sure you will find one. In Moscow, I was able to find at least 7 suppliers of this stuff.
Can you believe that MY WHISTLING IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's damn GONE!!! I don't know why it decided to go - I never asked it for that... But thanks to something/someone anyway

i unfortunately did something (have no clue what) wrong while applying hard spl on my htc niki100. no bootloader is available anymore and hard reset is not applyable neither. pc keeps asking for installing data interface driver when connected to it. i guess jtag is an option but since im not into soldering i'm searching somebody who can do that for me. who ever can unbrick my niki will receive 50€ as a reward/thank.

if you are willing to play, go to a local phone shop. If its fixable, they'll fix it for for about £60 (depending on the fault)
At the very minimum, they'll tell you what the fault is...
thank you, i'll try that. here in switzerland usually the estimation of cost for repairing is about 50 pounds, but it's worth a try.

You might also get a used Niki around 50€ at [email protected] Or check out a tool named Frankenkaiser (never tried it, but search the forums for it, also kaiser/vogue/polaris, it should be the tool you need).
hmm, i got my niki200 for 20 euro's so if you look good you can find one for not too much money

Hi everybody, I do apologize for my (maybe) poor english, since it's not my mother language. I need help in order to changing my shift hard disc...I cannot reboot and nether by vista cdrom nor acronics I can see the disc anymore.
So I have to buy another one but I don't know which one cause I'm afraid no all of them work (are compatible).
I used the function seek on forum and I found toshiba mk 1011gah 1,8" 100 gb
Is it ok?

I don't know the online shop where sell this drive. Please search!
But in my country (Cambodia), there is only one shop but second hand and very expensive.
Please try to check, I think it can be replaced with iPod Classic 80GB Hard drive.
If your friend or someone has this iPod and broken but the hard drive is OK you can buy and replace to your shift.

Anyone added tomtom navigator yet at all? If so, is it much of a nutache to do what with there not being an external storage card?

you cant install cabs on the mozat, all the window usefullness (did i just say that!!!) of the 6.5 has been taken out and it has been made like iphones and android so from what i can see you can only use stuff from market place at the mo. I so hope im wrong and have missed something but its not looking like anything will be compatible from our beloved hd2s etc.

On a satnav note, i did read that the update due in jan 2011 will have a satnav but im guessing orange uk may block the satnav as they are doing there own satnav for 5 queens heads a month. at the mo it doesnt work but they do try and sell it still knowing it dont work.

i cant believe orange did that! i recently upgraded and went with the mozart having being told it came with satnav only to find out after that it didnt work and that i'd have to pay £5 for the priv when it did...after a quick call and the threat of cancelling my upgrade i now will have it for free (when it works!) but still have to pay £2 a month for the pro version (speed cams and live traffic info).
Though i think i'd still buy tomtom when its released...think there working on it at the mo.

Im gonna have to have stearn words with orange as they sold me the satnav but only refunded me the money for the month they charged me for. i cant beleive they were selling it in the knowledge it didnt work on wp7. im just hoping the devs get there heads round this os and start cooking so we can see what these things can do!! and on the satnav note again im hoping igo comes our way as it makes tomtom look like a 1940s map of the isle of whight, its something that makes me think of going back to my hd2.

Ran a very very quick test, and no luck.
Was following the instructions in the first post on this page:

Went to terminal, typed:
su
netcfg eth0 dhcp
got error: action "dhcp" failed (no such device)
This doesn't mean it is over thought. To be honest though, networking isn't my thing. However, there is bound to be lots of information on the subject of using these adapters with android. I'll hit up google when I get a chance.
I've got a friend who works for my college's internet department. I've seen him do some wicked stuff with some routers. I'll give him a call an go see him at the new campus. I'm sure he'd love to help me get it working. Plus, he is Chinese, so he knows a good bit about the Chinese parts that can be bought around here.
Good luck working on it, and any information I find I'll share with you.

Other alternative is to get a cheap used router off eBay for like $15. I got one for myself for the same reason. But you might wanna check with some colleagues about networking policies at your work place, because some network admins don't like putting up Wireless routers.
