[Q] Gtalk bugging after unlocking/flashing - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

After unlocking my Xperia mini bootloader and flashing back to stock ROM (I tried CM7 and didn't like it) my gTalk is bugging.
The messages are not chronological order. They are all grouped by a person who wrote's them, like:
person:
person:
person:
me:
me:
me:
I found few explanations on the internet, to change the clock to get automatically from server, but that didn't helped me out.
I also tried reinstalling google applications (including new Gtalk) but that also didn't help.
Did anyone had similar kind of problem?

conversations disappear in messaging after 3.14 rom update

there doesnt appear to be anything in search relating to this so here goes.......
.....im getting sick of htc changing so many features and settings on this phone everytime they release an update. ive got another issue now. not mentioning the dozen ive managed to sort myself in the last day or so.
my text messages are now all over the place. if i recieve a message i hit the message icon on the scroll bar and it opens. reply and then close. normal situation. however. when i want to send another message to the same person either by opening their contact info or hitting the message icon and finding the conversation there is no info at all. wtf!!!
if i go to all messages i get a list of all recipients and the last message either sent or recieved but when i click on that person to reply the entire conversation, 1,2 10, 100 messages that are in brackets next to their name are nowhere to be seen. ive tried removing contact pictures, deleting numbers and attaching them to the contact when a message comes in. no luck. been through the messaging settings, cant find anything else to check or uncheck to resolve this situation. ive no contacts on my sim card just the phone.
cheers. i do need to know if its a general thing with this rom or is my phone just playing up? anyone else noticed this? communications is a big part of messaging and as all phones nowadays seem to be able to record and display conversations with each contact i find it hard to believe htc suddenly decided to bin the idea.
anyone got any suggestions as to how i recover this option as i cant be asked to remember the last few messages of every conversation i have. not to mention important information that i cant access if i cant pull up more than one previous message!
I have the new stock Rom 3.14, and I haven't encountered anything like you've described here. What application did you use to restore the backed-up messages after you flashed the ROM?
fixed this. i had installed a cab recently which disables the annoying 'sent message successfully' notification. but this was also causing the above mentioned problem. unistalling the cab means ive got my conversations back and all contacts/messages link properly. see here for all info and further links... http://www.htchd2forum.com/general-htc-hd2-discussion/more-hatred-for-new-3-14-rom-(conversations)/

Google talk - contacts seem offline?

Hi guys!
I'm running stock KH3 (with Chainfire kernel) and for some reason my Google Talk keeps showing all my contacts are offline.
When I log out and back on, they are online again.
Anyone have a solution?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
BUMP! I am having the same issue:
I am running villianrom 3.0 on my S2. baseband I9100XXKG3, kernel 2.6.35.11-ninphetamine-2.0.5....
Google talk keeps saying that I am offline (when in a chat to a person) and that all my contacts are offline (when looking at main contact list screen). Signing in and out resolves it but it is irritating as I do not receive messages or notifications when it happens and I haven't got talk open...
Has anyone else managed to fix this? I'm not sure it is villianrom related or something else, sorry.
It seems the problem is present on multiple devices, so it's likely to be related to Google Talk itself. In order to maximize the efforts to find a solution it's better if we focus on one topic only. The following one seems to have the greater number of replies so far:
Google Talk issue - after a few minutes Contacts are all offline when not

[Q]

2 days before i have upgraded my sony W8 from 2.1 to 2.3.7
after successful installation i had restored the back up taken for contacts and SMS.
The restore process was done successfully, i am able to view the sms, however not able to view the contacts
While in the call log, i can see the names does it means that the contacts also restored successfully?
If yes then why i am not seeing the contacts ?
can anyone help me for this ?
Is that a Windows-based device? You're posting in an Android forum. Furthermore, please use a descriptive title and not just "Q" -- obviously, you have a question, otherwise you wouldn't be posting in here. It helps people sift through the posts and determine which they could help with and those in which they do not, all without having to open all the threads and read the entire OP.
Unable to view contacts
sorry for that, and sorry for the delay as wel.
I am using a Sony Ericsson W8 device, this is not a windows based.
few more things like to share.
i have one app called Folder Orgaaniser, using this app i am able to see all the contacts.
every time i save a contact it does not show me the saved contact, but i can see that in folder organiser.
moreover if that person calls me, i get his name displayed on the screen, but my contact list is showing empty.
is this helpful or need some more info ?

[Q] Accounts/Settings get lost sometimes

Hi,
I'm experiencing a strange behaviour in the last couple of weeks. My accounts and some of my settings (e.g. which input method I use) get lost under random circumstances.
Actually, I don't know how and where to investigate for the cause. It doesn't happen immediately after a (re)boot, it can happen now, it can happen in two weeks, during I am playing something or I am reading, it's absolutely random to me. Today I'm wondering why my events in CalenGoo aren't displayed, and as I'm heading over to the settings, I found all my accounts gone. No Google, no CalDav/CardDav, no Whatsapp. If I start to enter something somewhere, I see that I use the standard input method and not TouchPal as I am used to. Other settings like WiFi oder Sound profiles remain untouched.
I'm on a Zopo ZP950, running 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, it's rooted and I have much apps installed. I don't know where to begin my investigation. Is there some log file where I could look at? Does someone have similar problems?
It's very annoying to me, because I think this "failures" seem to happen more often in the last few days. I use Titanium Backups to restore the accounts then, but my contacts and events need to be resynced via CalDAV/CardDAV against my ownCloud Server.
Thanks for any hints in advance.

[Q] WhatsApp:People see me twice & I don' receive all msgs after installing a new ROM

[Q] WhatsApp:People see me twice & I don' receive all msgs after installing a new ROM
I have a big problem with WhatsApp since I installed a custom ROM on my Xperia Neo V.
When I contact people on WhatsApp I appear as a new contact in their phone, so they see me twice in their contactlist.
If people send messages to the older contact entry, I don't receive the messages!
It's like I would have a new phonenumber or something, but I really don't.
I hope someone of you experienced the same issue and can help me fixing it.
I might be missing extremely important messages.
best regards,
Ferivon
Please! This is really important to me.
I would also appreciate tips about where I could ask the question instead because I really have no idea who could help me out.
