any ideas as what got borked or any restore options or quick fixes I can do to remedy this situation?
TIA
I just updated my phone to 1.11.25 from Rick S and my Wi Fi is working fine. Did you do a full wipe? (Data/Cache/Dalvik?) I do this every time I flash a new version and haven't had any problems.

What exactly isnt working? I had a similar issue after flashing CM7 once when the WIFI said "Error" everytime I tried to connect.
The issue was fixed by Odin'ing back to stock and re flashing the rom. Since MIUI is CM7 based, this fix may work for you.
Hope this helps!

Hey, My wi-fi/hotspot shows up as error when i go to settongs and wireless networks. i had the problem with alien#4 so i decided to switch to cynanogen 7.1 and still nothing :/ is it a hardware problem or i need to flash a different baseband/kernel or what? thanks for the help in advance if anyone reples. it would mean alot haha
I had that issue when I installed one of faux123 kernels.I re-flashed the kernel wipped cache and dalvik and rebooted.I didn'tn have the issue afterwards, hope this helps out.
thanks. I tried flashing a 1.30 ghz kernel by faux123 and i have a bootloop :/
try flashing a different kernel.I notice the 1.3 works better than 1.45 for me no bootloops.try going into cwm and clear cache dalvik and fix permissions.
ok,im using tenfars recovery. should i be using clockwork mod?
i don't know what the problem is :/ i still have error for wi-fi.. but i flashed 145 cause that's all that would work

Tenfa'rs recovery is outdated. Use romracer's instead (he just updated today).
*Edit* I ran into this same problem early on when I started flashing customs mods. Ended up having to go back to my "stock" backup before wi-fi started working again. After that, I haven't had it re-occur. That might be your best bet to get it functioning again. If not, it may be a hardware issue.
haha I just got this thing 3 months ago...hopefully it's not a hardware issue. but i'll try that
MY phone is completely effed right now..like the "soft keys" on the bottom don't work and the screen sensitivity is really low..it's like my phone is destroying itself or something.
Sounds like a hardware issue. I had the same exact issue.
Wifi error, some random reboots especially after trying to turn it on.
after much testing, reading, and playing around i started getting constant reboots. You could get too the lock screen, then it would reboot.
Before jumping to conclusions about hardware go back to your stock backup. Also use RomRacers newest recovery.then start flashing kernels again and see if the problem persists. Its easy to blame everything on hardware issues but often that's not the problem.
Today I updated to the CM 9-20121028-nightly-haida. Since then I have no more wireless. The whole point is greyed out and when I go into the settings in the Wi-Fi, he veruscht to activate all the time. Is this a known bug? Is that still the case with several? Is there a workaround? Previously, I had the cm-9-20121014-NIGHTLY-haida because everything worked.

did you flashed new kernel. did you wiped cache and dalvik cache?
in your thread is no question. its not quite good to open new threads like this - furthermore you could have found the answer in CM9.1 thread..youst to mention..
best regards
I have no installed the cm-9-20121021-NIGHTLY. With this version, I can use WIFI. Is the kernel different from this to cm-9-20121028-NIGHTLY?

cant tell in which way the kernel differs-read changelog for information. but since your wifi doesnt works i suggest to flash new kernel and wipe. and if kernel is provided with rom update i would always recommend to flash it!
Due to instability issues in the latest nightlies, I clean flashed and reverted back to CM11 milestone 5. After doing this, I haven't been able to get mobile data. Voice and sms work fine, just "mobile network state disconnected" and no data connectivity. Also after flashing back to M5, "Phone" seems to prevent the device from sleeping. In battery stats, the device is always awake, with "Phone" using the majority of the batter.
I've tried re-flashing CM11 M5 multiple times, I've also flashed different modems, and I've also called AT&T to reset my internet connectivity. Nothing has worked thus far. Any suggestions? :good:
UPDATE/SOLUTION:
I got mobile data back by going back to stock, clean flashing AOKP (which works with mobile data), then dirty flash to CM11. Quite unorthodox, probably not the best solution, but it's the only 'fix' that has worked!!
I've tried many other suggestions, such as the "patched" modems & kernels, to no avail. Finally this works, dreams do come true
UPDATE: I tried ODINing back to stop 4.3 ROM, on which data was working again. However, upon flashing back to CM11, data stopped working once again. I tried flashing AOKP, which *did* get data back, so I'm assuming this is a CM11-exclusive problem.
I really don't know how the CM11 data problem persisted even after flashing back to stock and then re-flashing CM11. What could've gone wrong? Anyways, I guess I'm sticking to AOKP for the time being.

Have you got a link to the rom - any issues with Wi-Fi or 3G/Mobile Data? This CM 11 rom I have is awesome but it's a pain that the 3G/Mobile data just doesn't work at all.

If you look on that thread, try installing the specified modem and kernel. Hope this helps.

Did you install the patched kernel/modem while on stock ROM or on a custom ROM?

Got the 4.3 stock ROM from sammobile then installed the kernel and modem from TWRP recovery - haven't tried a custom ROM yet but I presume it'd work in the same way

Hi,
I got my P9000 yesterday and flashed the OTA 20160531 over the flashing toolkit. After that NFC settings are there. Later I flashed the OTA 20160608 as flashable zip and the NFC settings are still there. Today I saw that the NFC settings are gone. Does anyone know about this issue or has a fix for it? Using the stock rom.
Thanks for you help
Hi, i habe exactly the same problem. Updating to build 150715 hasnt helped. Any ideas what to do to make NFC appear back again?
I had the same issue when updating my rom. After some days I rebooted the device and suddenly the NFC settings where back. I have no Idea if the reboot helped or anything else.
If you really need NFC you can also try flashing a custom rom such as Eragon V3 (my recommendation) or Aerom V5.
I decided to flash oreo on my old device running cyanogen mod.
so what i did was:
- updated to twrp 3.1
- re-partitioned my device for the bigger system partition
- flashed the rom (with clearing cash/etc before ofc)
After flashing the rom i then noticed that wifi was not working.
what i tried to do to fix this was:
- flash a different rom
- install a diffrent modem
- back stock and then redo all steps to be able to install the rom.
Stock had no wifi either so i am not sure.
The issue could potentially be Hardware related, but wifi worked fine before.
SO i am now out of ideas and not sure how to check if its a hardware/software issue.
Thanks for potential ideas/help in advanced.

Both of you, just to cover the bases, did you factory reset when you flashed the ROM?
If yes, try using a different version of TWRP. I've seen other posts that suggest the currently available version(s) of TWRP is not flashing things correctly.
