Just curious so please be kind... I noticed on my stock SD card in the MyAlbum folder there is a Dolphin Browser jpeg image and I was just curious why it is there. As far as I know the actual Dolphin Browser is not on my stock phone anywhere or is it? Just curious and no big deal but I do like to know all that is on my phone including images...

It was a main folder but I did figure out why... I installed Flikie Wallpapers HD from the market and it created the folder with the Dolphin browser jpeg in it. I just back tracked and it repeated it so there ya go...NOT Previously owned!!! I guess flikie is advertising for the Dolphin browser. You can bet I will keep a track of this stuff as I go.
That would make a good program for someone to write, if not already. One that show's exactly what folders and files are installed during program installation. Then you could easily delete bloatstalls...hahaha new word...
Might be a problem with the internal storage/external sd card setting that I've missed, but I'll ask before I rip my hair out. I can download stuff from the market without issues. But, when I'm on the XDA app or from the browser, when I click on something to install it, it instantly says download unsuccessful. I went into browser settings and changed where stuff gets downloaded to, either internal or external and that didn't make any difference. Also tried taking the phone off of wi-fi and didn't help either.
I'm running ICScrewD 1.6 if that matters.
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried "Download All Files" from the market? It lets me download anything that I could not download before.

I am trying to enable copy and paste on my 8gb nook tablet using the instructions here . But now even after several reboots I am still getting force close messages by application com.bn.cloud.svc, com.bn.nook.home and com.bn.nook.library. I would post to that thread but due to the fact I have less then 10 post I cant. I use the built in nook reader to read my books and now it wont open just constantly giving me force close messages.
Oh Crap
Ok so I went to do a factory restore on my nook device now I am stuck in a setup loop can someone please help me fix this. How do I just get the original jar back to my nook

I have a rooted nook... No cm 7/9. If you use the market's adobe reader instead of the nook reader, you should be able to copy without modifying the coding. I can copy from a pdf from adobe reader and paste into my office suite pro with no issues.
As a side note, I can copy from web pages in opera, but not dolphin web browser. I can copy the URL in dolphin only. Also, I am using Swype keyboard.
I posted here how I now have access to copy/paste using the swype tablet beta - really handy because now I have copy/paste anytime I use my keyboard... which coincidentally is every time I've ever needed to use copy/paste
Sooooo... I just discovered that this stoooopid-ass phone of mine is storing downloaded photos to the phone's internal storage instead of the SD card. Is there anyway to fix this? I don't even think it's possible to move those photos from the phone to the SD card since my laptop can't even find the phone's internal photo storage folder. Seriously? WTF?!?!

Please read the stickies and search before starting pointless threads. All of your issues are because you don't know what you're doing, and not the fault of the phone.
Here's the first one, answered in a thread conveniently titled "F.A.Q.s - Massive Question Round Up Thread".

Q: Why are my pictures saved to the internal phone storage and how can I force it to save to the SD card?
A: When you first launched your camera app (assuming you had an SD card in) it should have asked you if you wanted to save to the SD card. Either way, the problem is easily fixed within the camera settings or by going to Settings> Storage> App storage locations and choosing Storage card for each option.

When you connect your phone to your computer, if you select media sync instead of hard drive, it will give you access to both internal and external sdcard from your computer.

Thanks, Einstein, but apparently YOU'RE the one that can't read. My issue has NOTHING to do with pictures that's been taken with the camera. Read my post again and then come back with another smart-ass and useless post. Thanks.

Thanks... that takes care of that problem. I never even thought about using that 'Media Sync' option to find files. I still can't find a way to force downloading photos to the SD card though.

Hahaha, totally missed the word downloaded. Gotta stop visiting the site after a drink. My bad bro, sorry about that. The media Sync thing though you could have searched for.

No biggie. I really wasn't too concerned with the 'Media Sync' thingy since I ended up deleting the downloaded photos from the phone's internal memory. That wasn't that big of a deal, however... I have bigger fish to fry with my original issue.

thanks for being cool - so where are you downloading the photos from? if you're downloading with the stock browser, you can go to settings, advanced, download storage, and change phone storage to storage card. Is that what you meant?

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. I use the Dolphin HD browser and SOMETIMES Google Chrome (which still has a lot of bugs). I have all of the settings set in the Dolphin HD browser to download photos to the SD card, but they still go to the phone's internal storage. If I remember correctly, Google Chrome doesn't even offer that option. It really doesn't offer it's users that many adjustments at all, actually.

don't know about chrome, but I use dolphin hd also, and I was able to change the download directory to the sdcard by going to settings, privacy and personal data, download directory, and changing that entry to /mnt/sdcard/ext_sd/download. Is that how yours is set up? I just tested it and its working correctly on my end.

Yeah, that's how mine's read. I don't see any other settings in the browser OR on the phone to change the directory path. I don't have this problem on any of my other phones. All the downloaded photos goes straight to the SD card. Oh well...
Hey guys,
A consistent problem I have with using an android tablet and phone is the annoying way I have to upload files to things through the browser, such as imgur or blackboard. Right now, the process is
upload file to drive - upload to whatever i'm uploading to
Reason for this is that when I click "upload from computer" on any website, the options available are gallery, camera, dropbox, etc, but no pure file browser. Unless there's some way to get the gallery to act as a file browser, I'm stumped. Any solutions?
