[Q] How to flash back to stock 2.3 from Cyanogen? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone give me a guide to do this? I really have to be sure that I won't mess up because I'm giving my Atrix to my dad and he probably wouldn't appreciate a bricked phone. So if anyone can redirect me to a guide or tell me what to do step-by-step, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Thanks! I really appreciate it.

My installation is aborted when I try to flash the fruitcake via CWM. Is there any other way or am I just doing it wrong?

Not trying to be rude, but try searching before starting a thread and post in the correct section. A simple search would have yielded the information you were looking for.
Now _Alex_ or Mr Clown will lock this thread.

- adb shove iPad2post.apk to /forum/thread
For your info I did search. And if I'm correct the dev section is where the deodex mods are found.. am I not correct?

OMG ..this thread will be closed soon for being in the wrong section.
Install stock 4.5.91 fruit cakes http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16230707 and then you can doedex it yourself here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1162764
Seeing that you have stock 4.5.91 you can just deodex it yourself with the second link.

Look here.
Is it in the Dev section? Herw link didn't work.

That is stock + root which is great for most reasons for flashing to stock.
Entropy 512 is working on a completely stock package that he is going to post someone in the next few days. So it is on its way.

Yeah, that does have root included but that's the only stock file that I'm aware of. It's in the Android Dev section with the title "[Heimdall][Odin][Stock+Root]UCKH7 Stock kernel, rooted system, modem (aka Unbrick)" from Entropy512.
Cool thanks guys. I just wanted a backup in case I botch it.

Yeah I already botched a kernel update myself and had to use that procedure. Worked flawlessly for me and got me back to rooted so I could not be an idiot again. But I'm sure I will be in due time...again...
Haha. Yeah. I am sure something will happen. But thanks for the info. Appreciate it!

Put CM7 on SGS2 with CWM app

Hi,
If I want CM7 on my phone, can I do that via the CWM app? I know I have to be rooted then. If yes, I first have to download and install CWM and then search for CM7 in the app, right?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
All the information you need is located in the CM7 Q&A thread and the CM7 wiki.
As oinkylicious you should find everything that you need.
On a sidenote, I am not a fan of using CWM app for flashing. My advice would be to do it manually.

Go to www.sammobile.com download a stock firmware, flash through Odin, reroot.
*or*
Find the right siyah kernel tar and flash through odin

I can't find 2.3.3 on sammobile only 2.3.6... does this matter? Or is there somewhere else I can find it?
Title adjusted
As was pointed out, it's always best to give a more descriptive title than 'Please Help'. I see you've got a few people helping you, good luck with it - it's usually a step you missed (I've done the same). Always read up and understand what you're doing before you do it, saves brain cells

u have very less or even outdated rooting option on GB, better to upgrade ur phone to stock ICS v4.0.3 (dwnld the stock ICS v4.0.3 firmware pertained to ur region on www.sammobile.com and flash the same using 'ODIN'.
After successfull flash and booting of ICS on ur phone, u can use Siyah kernel( .tar file for ODIN) to root ur phone by flashing the same vide ODIN
U might have corrupted ur install. If there is no VERY important data, i would recommend you to wipe data/cache and download a new STOCK rom and install using odin hope this helps. P.S. Only use odin and stock rom it has less chances of bricking the phone.
