Telekom Germany. Update installed. Havn't notice any changes so far. What has been fixed?
Sent from my Lumia 800 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Nothing here on o2 UK yet. Mind you, I only just got the last update
Checked via Zune about an hour ago, and nothing. On giffgaff, but handset came straight from Nokia in Helsinki.
well, the german site mentioned it will be distributed gradually in the next two weeks.
anyway, the update mentiones audio improvements... well, in the first phonecall after the update i experience an increased lowest volume level, which i hate, and more background noise in the call, but that may be due to the windy conditions at the moment
Charging improvements
Voicemail notification improvement
Replying to mail improved for Microsoft Exchange 2003 users
Improved display switching in bright light

Update installed. My Lumia is an T-mobile (german) edition. Updating from Norway, no problems!
Disappointed that it wasn't any MMS-settings in this update =/
mms settings? were in settings > mobile > apn ... earlier, not anymore?
I'm on Orange UK and just go the update this evening.
Got it on an open market phone in Germany, carrier is Vodafone.de.
Same info as Post 1:
OS: 7010.7740.16
FW: 1600.2479.7740.11451

RFW: 1.6.00.24
FHW: 8255
Boot: 7.35.0.0
SOC: 0.74.2.1
Unfortuantely it does not fix the low light central red zone on the camera. But general color accuracy on capture does seem improved.
No update here in uk. Sim free on lyca mobile
I just go the update on 3 UK.
Anyone else from UK still not getting the update. This update stuff makes me really anxious. I think I'm gonna miss university tomorrow
Still nothing for me. I'm on o2 UK but bought the phone SIM free from the Carphone Warehouse so I don't know if that has something to do with the delay, but I only just got the 7740 update last week.
I have the update t-mobile UK.
For anyone that does not have it have you tried the dissconecting the network trick that was widely used to get Mango? ie go to check for update on zune and after 2 seconds dissconect the internet. May work as it looks like they useing the same que system.
No, the trick isn't helping for me.
Yup T-mobile uk update here also ;-)
Got the update last night when plugged the phone in to Windows Phone Connector for mac.

My XDA
ROM ver 3.14.17 ENG
ROM date 10/11/02
Radio version 4.16
Protocol version 32S54
My problems are:
1.weak signal
2.phone hangs and wont automatically reconnect to network until I switch it off and back on.
Is that only my bad lack or others have similar problems?
Is there a possibility of improving this by change of settings or...?
Any comments appreciated :?:
MY XDA Freezes and Drops Calls
Hello, I am in Ireland. My Phone Hangs and Drops every now and then. It Releases itself after about 5 minutes. Sometimes I answer a call and it drops the line at this stage. I went into an o2 shop to ask them about this but they suggested that there is no other customers with this problem.
the same problem with ROM 3.15.15 ENG / Radio 4.16.00
I have the same hang up problem. I bought mine in Australia as well but use it all around the world, for that matter i have never used it in Australia but i have the hang up problem sometimes. Never the weak signal though. Maybe i am just lucky.
Exactly the same problem with xda bought in HK and used in Russia. And as i note this problem occurs while other mobile phone near xda shows "good" signal level. So I have to restart phone each hour
3.15.15 ENG / 4.16.00
I'm ready to write program which will switch phone module off and on hourly

hi have had and am hainvg same problem, phone freezing and dropping out and weak signal when signal is fine in a phone.
did you find a solution to this?
email me on

Same problem in SG. 3.14.17ENG with 4.16 Radio stack. Took my XDA to the service center and they upgraded the radio stack to 4.17... Seems like improved so far but not sure if this is a complete resolution yet. Have not seen this radio stack released on the internet yet.
I have the same problem - I seem to be getting a good signal, and all of a sudden the audio just clicks off totally, while the connection time is still ticking over. I've installed the new official patches which seemed to slightly improve things, but the problem still occurs. It'd be nice if someone could resolve this, I've got no idea.
Hi all,
Have the same problem here in Saudi Arabia if the signal gets week at some spot it will not come back only after a reset..
Hello folks,
I have a QTEK 1010 bought from Dubai in October 2003.
Model PW10A1
ROM version 3.16.52 ENG
ROM Date 03/10/03
Radio version 3.19.01
Protocol version 32S54
The device works well but periodically goes off (PDA and cell phone) and pressing the power button at this point soft resets it. I have tried removing add on software (D9 dialer and SMS name utility), soft resetting and hard resetting.
A hard reset seemed to solve the problem - until I synched with Outlook again - but then maybe I did not wait long enough since even after synching and software being loaded, it does fine for hours at a stretch. It is my impression that an incoming or missed call causes it to do that but since it happens inconsistently, I cannot tell.
My questions: -
Is this more likely to be solved by a ROM upgrade or a Radio upgrade? Or is this likely to be a hardware issue? A friend and I bought two devices together but his ROM and radio versions are higher numbers. He does not have this problem but then his cellular provider is different.
ROM 3.18.04 ENG RADIO 3.25.01

ROM version 3.18.04 ENG

Where to get these from?
ROM version 3.18.04 ENG

Please indicate country or area and if this is available. Also if you think the lamentable in-call has improved.
Thanks
UK. Not yet. Generic phone O2 signal
Uk, three mobile, rooted, new update 24/12 and attempting root tonight... never had issue with volume in call but is marginally clearer. Upgrade has made the phone less laggy, still need to root it though.

Hi everyone,
I intend to build an HTC Titan bug list and send it to HTC Customer Service. Let's see then how Newton's 3rd law of motion applies to our case...
I will start by adding my own findings and update the list every day with info coming from you. I will keep doing it for 15 to 30 days, depending how much I get from you.
Along with the bugs, please also send your phone information (Settings > About > more information) because we may have carrier/firmware/other related differences. If this is the case, I will do separate lists for each case.
I advise you to copy the template below and just fill it with your own information and bugs. For already reported bugs only write along Yes or No.

This is a problem with using a EU model Titan in Singapore.
Caller Contact cards do not work - they are not recognised when a call is incoming if you have the contact stored with international prefix, e.g. +65 xxxx xxxx.
If you store without prefix, then you will get caller contact card when a call comes in, BUT, incoming text messages will only show number WITH international prefix!
So, the way that the phone cross-references incoming numbers to the contacts numbers stored on the phone is different for both calls and messages.
The workaround at the moment is to store both numbers, with and without the international prefix.
NOTE: this was a documented issue pre-mango for countries with 8-digit numbers, and could be fixed with a regedit that stipulated the number of digits in your country. However, without interop there is no way to regedit the Titan. Users in countries that previously had this problem, are able to use the EU model (e.g. at least one person I know in Norway) without a problem.
NOTE : The Asia ROM suffers no such problem when used in Singapore (though the phone isn't sold here). So next step is to goldcard the Taiwan ROM onto the EU device and see if that cures it...

Hi,
First of all, I'm new here and this is my first post. I'm also pretty rookie with windows OS, I've had windows phone for 2 months. I used to have android phone, and I'm more expert with that OS and everything.
Secondly, I noticed this thread was pretty old but I decided to post here anyway.

I pretty much had the same bugs than previous posters. For example bad brightness and high audio volume level. The reason why I post this is, that I have two very big bugs and I didn't notice anyone had mentioned them here.
1. My phone keeps telling me there is update for my phone. I have a Macbook 2011 and wp connector installed on it. I connect my phone to it via USB and click "install updates" . It starts to update it but after few minutes it gives me error. I don't remember the error number but guys here in xda had got the same problems. Someone had "solved" problem by increasing the storage of phone. For many users including me it didn't help. Would be really awesome to get the install..
2. Nowadays everytime I make a call to someone my screen goes black and doesn't make any reactions though I pressed it or swiped my finders or anything. Also the capacitive buttons and switch on/off button are not working. I can talk to other person and I hear his speech but I cant for example end the call. And if the person I'm calling to doesn't answer the dialer tells me that the person couldn't answer and because I can't do anything it always sends a dialer message to the person who didn't answer. It's soooo annoying!! Only way I can end a call is to take off the battery!
Though this was an old thread, would be really cool to get some advice or something! Thanks

Not exactly the same but similar. Mine was, when i had a missed call, and try to call back, my phone gets stuck, and when the other person answers i was unable to hear him. and when hi hangs up, the phone would get responsive again. Sorry for my english.
one thing which I find annoying is that, but this may be common to all windows phone 7.5 phones is that two people may call each other almost simultaneously, putting one of the calls on hold : one has to be careful to terminate both calls.

hi!
Sorry for not being active here. Thanks to you guys who tried to help me. My titan came back to me from the htc care yesterday. Its motherboard was somehow broken due the OS updating. Good thing in is that now it is finally updated and the bugs I mentioned before are solved.
Gave up on my Titan.
I thought i would keep it for several years, like my previous phones but...
Bad auto brightness for night, min media volume too high, pinkish spot at center of camera's pictures.
Add to that the irritating french HTC support (worst client support ever)
Finaly, i had an additional (critical this time) problem with it, people heard echo of theirs voices (no problem with the handsfree kit).
I had the chance to be able to switch phone and got an Xperia T (the Lumia 920 was too expensive)
Afterwards can say that I probably will never buy WP again. Fortunately have got rid of Titan times ago and am rocking the SGS II

Hi all,
Updated my firmware a couple of weeks ago and all of a sudden my Nokia (Lumia 800) starts rebooting 3-4 times a day without me doing anything. It someitmes does it when I am in the iddle of writing an email or text!
Vodafone kindly replaced it for me, annoyingly I updated the firmware straightaway and it's doing the same again..
I want to ask if this has happened to others? Before or after the software update?
Did a quick search, but could not see anything specific to rebooting here, so apologies if there is a duplicate thread!

No problem whatsoever on my no brand italian version. Some flaw within the Voda firmware? That would be pretty weird tho...
Versions?
pratishk... please post details of sw versions on your phone...
Your SIM card may be defective (sometimes there are gap between sim card and it's holder), try to replace it at operator office.
My micro SIM is the original coming from the carrier. It fits iphone and various micro SIM adaptor without any gap. On the contrary, the sim tray of Lumia 800 seem a little bit larger than the mirco SIM which displays gaps. Fortunately the spring system can still hold the SIM to firmly contact with the phone connector. Nokia should check the precise measurement of the SIM tray.
I had this issue with my girlfriends Lumia 800. After full battery discharge it would just not charge, turn on etc ... Phone was replaced and the new one worked fine and has been for 3 months. Luck of the draw me thinks !

Upgrade firmware to latest 15000 vodafone UK branded.
Mine has crashed and rebooted twice in the last month.
Mines been the same.
Its been fine until up to about last month when I upgraded the firmware to the latest version and I get days where it reboots 4/5 times a day. However, that said I have removed the sim card the other day and re-inserted it and its been fine so far.
Thanks guys, was worried about upgrading @kardus as that was what was causing the problem... Will upgrade and try the SIM card routine...

I just bought a Lumia 800. The first thing I did after the startup wizard was going to settings> Wifi and I turned Wifi on. However, after 30 minutes of searching, the phone just won't find anything. The sim cardis not installed yet, as my old SIM is too big. Does anyone have an idea why Wifi won'twork?
Here is myphones info:
Windows Phone 7.5
Operating system 7.10.8107.79
Revision Firmware± 1600.2487.8107.12070
Revision Hardware: 112.1402.2.3
SoftwareRadio: 8255
Bootloader version: 7.35.0.0
Chip-SOC-version: 0.74.2.1
Whether you have a SIM inserted should not make any difference. Have you verified networks are indeed available?
The specs you provided show the phone is both using an older firmware and OS version and the hardware revision is that of an earlier model. Did you buy this model new? if so I'd definitely return it as this phone as been updated at least once previously and the hardware revision is that of the first batch that shipped last year November. You might also call Nokia Care (through 'Contact us') to have the device IMEI checked for warranty (you can also do this yourself on the support page, but Nokia Care will be able to provide you with more information.
In any case try a system reset (Settings>About>reset your phone) but it feel to me like this is at least a refurbished device.
I bought it second hand, the phone was bought in January of this year. While I was at the sellers house, WiFi worked perfectly, but since he did a system reset (his old data was still on it) I haven't been able to connect at home. I also updated the device to the latest software, but to no avail.
Also, when I turn on WiFi and go back out of the WiFi menu, WiFi is automatically disabled again.
