I just got a HTC amaze 4g from mobilicity yesterday and I've noticed on the screen that there is a slight chip on it. New from the box with no calls, zero minutes etc... basically the store employee just inserted the sim and I put it in the box again and brought it home where I noticed that one side of the screen (vertically) is not perfect where there's a tiny curve/chip of the screen.
Anyone else also had this experience?
I'm going back to the store that I've purchased it from and show it to them also and get an exchange since I haven't even used the phone after the inserted the sim on it.

There shouldn't be any chip on the screen, anywhere.
Is there a picture you could post up perhaps?
I noticed this chip on the side on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 , wierd .
Take it back and get another--no new device should EVER have physical flaws.

Went back to the Sprint store for my 3rd Evo 3d. 1st phone got on launch day, the power button was way too sensitive and would constantly go into menu mode instead of sleep mode, and the reason I went today was because the phone would cut in and out when dialing, and dropped calls so just a reality check I asked them to run a radio check which it failed.
So the CSR got me a new Evo 3D of out of the factory box and did a one for one replacement, including swamping out the 16 gig memory stick. So I was getting ready to walk out and he hands me the box with every thing except the actual old phone itself. So got another charging cable, battery, 8 gig memory stick and a space back cover. He said that they don't care about the accessories, but just the core phone itself. Anyways, that made my day!

I went into my Sprint store yesterday because I have had multiple people tell me they can't understand me on my 3D Evo. I got the same treatment as you, except I didn't think about the back cover off of my old 3D. I always go to the same store and ask for the same tech. I couldn't be happier with customer service at "my" Sprint store.
Hmmm wonder what kind of store it is, we get crap if the phones don't come back with a battery and back. Only thing we need is the box normally and the phone, if the customer wantsbtye charger and what not its just less to throw away lol.
Hey guys,
Needed some information on my Galaxy S2. I got it as an upgrade at the end of July, had to take it back for slow internet 2 days later, they said its fine it wasnt so took it back again and they swapped it... Since then there has appeared this small grey circle abit the size of my little finger pushed on the screen and it only appears when over darker objects like grey backgrounds so its not even noticible all the time just when a grey background appears which isnt often cause i generally dont use anything with a grey background. Because my phone is over 30 days old they will not replace it they want to send it off (Carphone Warehouse that is) but they said it can take up to 14days, however I am very angry as I have already been in twice with this phone and has two complaints so this would be the third time. I tryed to complain they gave me a number to complain but just took me round in circles with prompts to press 1 or press 2 and never get through to a person just always prompts. Im so mad with their service I will never be upgrading with them ever again. Its a joke. I have purchased a new phone in order to swap my sim card in to which hasnt arrived yet but want to sell my Samsung Galaxy S2, however I would rather not sell it if its going to break on someone.. but from what ive read on other forums its just the Suction Point where the screen was inserted and its not actually meaning that the phone would break? ...
Does anybody know anything of the same thing happeneing and is it service affecting ect.
Thanks,
Stace
I was just curious if anyone was else was having the issues my first Titan II was having.
I just got it yesterday and within 2 hours it started trying to reboot itself only to freeze on the ATT screen. I would then turn the phone off and then turn it on and it would start working again. after another 5 reboots the phone would not get passed the ATT screen no matter how many factory resets I did. When I went to the Microsoft store to get a new phone (because of an obvious hardware issue) another customer next to me had the same problem.
Luckily the Microsoft store just gave me a new phone and I am a happy customer for now, my second phone seems to be working great.
I have no issues related to that at all to report.

OMFG...
I thought it was me but my new Titan II is doing the exact same thing of freezing @ the ATT screen. When I first got the phone and turned it on without a sim card installed , it froze at the ATT screen. I figured the battery wasn't charged enough. I then charged for 4 or 5 hours and the same thing freezing.
Then i figured it was the fact no sim was installed...still same problem.
Then out of the blue it started working normally. I thought hmmmm, maybe break in period...
I worked fine for about a day and a half, then while on a call, on speakerphone, i heard this kind of loud static sound and phone went dead. Then turned it back on and again froze at ATT screen Turned if off again and it worked again. Since this was my backup phone, I set it aside to try and decide if I bring it back would they beleive me or not. Knowing my luck, if I brought it back for an exchange, the thing would probably work fine in front of Microsoft employee and they'd think i was crazy. But not after reading this....
This phone is going back....I'm so glad I read this forum...
Thank you!
Did you make sure the back cover was on securely? If the cover is not make the proper contact to the pins inside the phone, the phone will shut off.

Are you sure? As with Titan this is not the case.
The pins inside the phone and the pins on the cover have no mechanism to support phone power. It only supports the network coverage. By bending or pushing them away there are good chances you will lose LTE or 3g and without complete contact might lose the network completely too!
BTW, I think HTC needs to get their act together. AT&T Titan's launch batch was rubbish and so was UK Titan launch batch. Nearly 50% had to replace the first handset (if you look at the old threads).
I am presuming you bought it very close to the launch as well so are still in the "launch stock" ?

No, he's right. If you take the back cover off, your phone will shut off automatically with the Titan II.

Well I brought it back and they exchanged it without the blink of an eye. They said they've had a few returns already for this same freezing problem for this particular phone ...They also said something to the affect that since this is a new phone it still has a lot of bugs in it...which in a way sounds resonable...
I turned on the phone before i left the store...it worked...let's hope it continues to...

Interesting!
Can anyone please upload a pic of opened Titan II!
Would be good to see what they've changed as Titan can work without the back cover with ease.

Actually, That is exactly what I asked in a thread I started about the titan's signal strength.
But, since nobody posted a picture of the titan II with the back cover off, I started to do my own research on Google and I now understand why nobody posted it.
It is impossible to take the back cover off the titan II !
It has a uni-body design with no battery cover and no removable battery!!!
I don't really like this ...
Here is a pic of it with the slide-off panel for the sim card slot;

According to the review, in the case that the phone locks up, you can turn off phone by taking off the sim cover. Actually a pretty slick idea to mimic a battery pull when the battery is immobile fixed in the phone. I was wondering why it turns the phone off on my Titan 2
Hey all,
I was trying to figure out where the best place to put this would be as it's a tricky one.
I need help with this phone I got in a bulk lot. I was going through the phones one by one testing them seeing if they read sim cards etc and got to this one.
Never seen the HTC in my life, looked like one of the Sensation models but I thought whatever, nothing of it.
Took open the back and seen no Sim card, then no IMEI on the sticker and the fact the sticker doesn't quite look complete anyway.
Switched it on and just shows the HTC logo, then shows an early Android 2.x logo and then a homescreen - touch didn't respond and it immediately jumped into a looping video showing the HTC Rhyme and how it has Entertainment on the Go and so on so forth.
Googling the HTC Rhyme came up with a number of results and I figured I had some demo of that. Which is still cool. Anyway.
I then found that it was originally going to be the HTC Bliss (Or alongside the Rhyme). So I done a teardown and noticed a few odd things.
Hardware wise, there is no Front or Rear Camera, no sensors, no WiFi/Bluetooth (Maybe?), no headphone jack, no physical Sim Slot and one of the flex connectors is missing from the board, it looks unfinished to be honest.
I took a heap of photos and uploaded them here - https://imgur.com/a/95FSA
Booting into recovery shows a different screen to a retail Rhyme also. And 512MB as apposed to the 768MB available on the Rhyme.
If anyone can shed some light on what this thing exactly is that would be great!
(And if this is rare then the lot I got on eBay was completely worth it )
Thanks!
I hopped on the T-MO B1G1 deal with my brother and after a week of trying things out, we noticed every now and then our dual screen (when both screens are active) the left one glitches. Does anyone have that problem? See picture attachment for an idea. In a nutshell, this only happens when I have both screens active and multi-tasking at times where the left screen will get a glitchy lighting error.
The glitch is either a quick shut off and turn on with the left screen or it quickly changes the left screen to be bright and colorful as shown in the picture.
If anyone ran into this problem and know how to fix it, please share it! My brother's LG v60 doesn't get this dual-screen glitch as often, only once or twice for him while I'm getting it almost everyday. I'm hoping to avoid another format, I'm wondering if it's an app or setting that is not compatible with dual screen.
Thanks
*Looks like I can't post a picture yet until I get more posts in.*
Your unit is defected. Contact t-mobile for a replacement. There are videos on youtube of a few users with the same experience.
I myself haven't had issues, I've had it for a week now
Had mine since march 25th and no issues either.
Here is the video on youtube about one reviewer with a 2nd display issue

Thanks for all the replies! It happened to my bro's LG V60 today again and so we are pretty sure both of our dual screen is defected.
I'll try with LG Promise warranty to see if I can get a replacement dual screen first, hopefully they can take care of it faster than T-Mobile. T-mobile has been giving me ****ty customer service lately, so hopefully LG can make it right.
Thanks all.
Now normally TMobile will overnight a device if you have insurance. If you don't have insurance it's a 3-5 day wait for a replacement
Wide-mode app part of this?
I ran into this with my AT&T velvet. LG replaced it and it's been working for the past week.
Question: Did you install the wide-mode for LG app? I was wondering if that might have done something to some bit of memory somewhere. It didn't claim to support the Velvet but I tried it anyway. I don't remember if that's when it started acting up. I factory-reset the phone to see if that helped but the problem kept re-occurring. I emailed the app's author but got no reply.
I figured I'd ask. I'd like to re-install the app but don't want to possibly mess things up.
Thanks,
Frank
I got the phone over the weekend and mines glitches often i when back to t mobile and they replaced my dual screen and yet again with in a hour it still glitching

I had to have my dual screen replaced. The screen would just turn green and fade out. Lg sent it in less than a week. There's no reason to resort to things like tape or stuff. All V60s are still under warranty. Just send the screen part back to lg and they will replace it.

I'm in the same boat, and used the same solution. I have a thin metal disc that mates with a magnet to use as a stand, mount the phone, etc. (IM Stick). Installing that disc at the very bottom of the case gave the USB C connector just what it needed to mate correctly. Bonus: No interference with wireless charging!
