onlive app - HTC Rezound

onlive streaming gaming service available now on the rezound as supporting devices.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.onlive.client&rdid=com.onlive.client&rdot=1

Just tried, was awesome. Onlive is an amazing service. Although it did bring my phone temp to a warm and crispy 141 degrees.

My rezound stutters every one and a while when I'm running it but besides that I love it. Runs great on my Toshiba thrive.

Game play?

I am thinking of going with the TB. Anyone know for sure if it will play a game like pocket legends better than the dinc? Almost went with iPhone just because of how smooth that game is on there but in the end just couldn't do it.
Thanks!

Since it plays on my Nexus S just as good if not better then my Ipod Touch. I would bet that it Plays great on this phone too.
Games?? Android has games?
the ram is way over kill I doubt it will have any problem running anything anytime soon... I just want to play gun bros on a bigger screen than my incredible...
is your incredible rooted? cause I have never had any problem with lag on anything I ever run
I actually heard a guy talking on youtube unboxing this phone saying it benchmarks better 3d than the tegra 2. I hope nvidia is fail because motorola is trying to stay afloat with it.

T-Racer HD

I saw this game featured in the nVidia Tegrazone application and thought it looked promising. Now I see its finally out and getting trashed in its market reviews. Anyone here give it a shot yet?
Also if anyone has some game recommends I'd appreciate it. I'm a long time PC gamer and I've found the contemporary "casual gaming" trend abhorrent compared to the quality and depth I'm used to. While still fairly poor at least the iPhone had some legit games. Anything worth playing on my Atrix?

RipTide is a very good game. Fun factor is great and graphics are amazing and smooth. Galaxy on Fire 2 is expensive after the initial free part but its very fun. The game offers 6-9 hours of gameplay and building up your ship gets addictive. Check out gamelofts website, its got some good games that you woudl be used to from your iphone.

OnLive released for Andrdoid

OnLive's gaming app was released today for Android... you can find it on the market at
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.onlive.client
I don't have my NC with me, but I tried it out on my phone. It works at least! I didn't really get to play much but hey, it's there
FYI, there is a special controller that is coming later this month too (tomorrow?), although it's supposed to be $50. Hopefully it at least comes with a free game.
PS. if you sign into onlive through the app, you can get Lego Batman for free.
Anyone have the .apk file so we can try it out? It doesn't show up in the market for my T-mobile Samsung galaxy s 2

People in the article on engadget mentioned it was posted at http://onlivefans.com. I didn't find it just by looking quickly, but maybe try a search
I got it, ill post it soon. It's running laggy on my NC but I bet its my crappy 3mb internet connection, since i keep getting a message that my connection dropped lower than the minimum
Here is the apk hope it works
Ok, cool. I'm interested in the new controller they have coming out. I did not find much information on if you could use other controllers, but it sounded like "no" for Android: http://onlivefans.com/showthread.php?14160-The-Controller-FAQ
I haven't been able to try it on my NC yet, but on my phone the graphics were fairly blurry but it was mostly pretty responsive (just navigating the UI and playing the first couple seconds of Lego Batman). I was on 3G because Verizon's having another 4G outage apparently, so I'll have to see how it goes on my home wifi or 4g when it comes back.
Anyone having issues with not finding in Market or the apk not side loading likely can go to onlive.com/hardware_mobile and click the Market link that shows there. Had to change my dpi to 160 to install but worked great after that. I had to go this route on my 2 bionics and the NC.
It runs great on CM 7.1.0.1 (Stable)
I tried playing games on my Nook Color like N.O.V.A. 2 HD and after getting my @$$ handed to me in the game because the NC wasn't fast enough to respond to my controls I tried the OnLive game service and I have to say it's pretty sweet.
I didn't notice any lag whatsoever when I played a few minutes of LEGO: Batman and I was using the on-screen touch controls the whole time since I don't have their universal game controller.
I'm not a serious gamer but my 5 year old is really getting into it. He already is monopolizing time on my other android devices playing games. Since LEGO: Batman is his favorite at the moment I've been forced to drag out the old Playstation 2 console out of the closet. Now that I've got this to work on my NC I can get rid of the PS2 finally and contain all of his gaming on the NC.

Happy with my HTC Flyer

I got in on one of the BUY.com's $199 specials, a coworker got in on an EVO veiw $239 special. I loaded honeycomb and had issues with some of the things I wanted to do. Bluetooth was a joke and I listen to a lot of books. Games wouldn't load, and if I forced them to load, didn't play right. G-Sensor was off on most games. Streaming TV was hit or miss. I just wasn't really happy with it.
Then I downgraded back to Gingerbread and am TRULY impressed with the capabilities. This little machine rocks! ALL my compatible games work! Bluetooth works every time. I can stream at will. It is fast (enough) and the pen adds features that absolutely rock. I loaded VTL launcher from the market and it now looks sharp - many equate it to a Mac (buy I know it's better)
In comparing the HTC Flyer to the EVO View, I hate to say it, but the EVO view ran higher quadrant scores (+200-400) consistently, even when I overclocked mine, on GB or HC. I was a bit dissapointed because they are basically the same machine.
Anyway, thought I'd give my opinion if it will help anyone.
Bluetooth works great for me on Honeycomb. What issues were you having?
I don't think the quad scores indicate the two devices are different. It's just the fact that his runs fastet, period. No two devices technically run exactly the same.

Click to collapse
I was on leedroid and couldnt get my Bluetooth headphones to connect. It would pair and not connect. When I would try to click the headphones to connect. My settings would forceclose on me, repeatedly. I tried another hc rom and had the same issues with BT and games.
This is somewhat offtopic, but I wasn't loving HC until I ditched the sense launcher, installed Neemus launcher and widgetsoid, and disabled that godforsaken lockscreen. Now my battery and speed have improved noticeably.

Soul Calibur on my tf300? ((The original, not the sequels))

Good morning everyone...
Can anyone recommend a way to run SoulCalibur on my TF300? I've got the original ROM from the arcade version and I also purchased the Sega Dreamcast version. Considering that the Tegra 3 is so ridiculously powerful I expect there must be a way to run it...
I downloaded Mame4droid Reloaded but it didn't like the sound, and even with sound turned off it still runs at maybe 1/3 original speed. I expect that this is because of emulation, but honestly the original clock speed was what... 100 MHz? How can emulating that be so hard?
Thank you SOOOO much for your answer. My MAME dedicated PC went poof last night and I'm going through serious withdrawl.
Dave
If noone has a good solution maybe this could be my next project lol.

Needs CPU power, since the 3d is emulated and not true hardware doing it in MAME.
Dead or Alive is also slow using MAME. Plenty of games run normal speed, but almost all 3d games are slow. Too many proprietary 3d hardware platforms to emulate, hence all done with CPU. Very inefficient as a result.
You hit on it though, since to emulate any 3d game, it will need a 3d wrap made specifically for the game hardware used for 3d in the game.
