Flashing is safe as long as you follow the procedure properly, I don't want to scare you but be careful during the process.Good luck
Better check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145

Did you ever had a look at the thread. Your answer is just in the first post. It took me less time to skim fast through the OP than it possibly took you to answer in this thread.
If you would have listened to TheSaw and learned reading you would be running CM7 without the need of making threads.
Yep....u r rite....sry....I'm too lazy...but I did studied. Now I know how to install cm7. Thanku. But I have one doubt hws the battery backup with cm7...any major bugs...?? Shall I go for cm7...??

No, stay well away, because chances are you'll fill the forums with more useless threads if you do.

HILooking around a lot of people new to the concept of rooting have been bricked by ROM MANAGER, while this is a good app it will HARD BRICK your ace. We are not supported. You will only get ARM7 dump mode. Your ace WILL BE REDUCED TO A PAPER WEIGHT.
Please avoid OneClickBrick apps like this.
Please don't let this put you of rooting, but ask/look around the forums for help with something (pop me a pm and ill try get back to you when I can)

Rom manager works well if you flash clock work mod 5 from other sources. You can use it 2 create back up and flash Rom from sd easily. I use it constantly. Its helpful.

Hi,
So you flashed something that you don't understand how use it and what is this for??? And you're asking how and what after... :what: :screwy: ... Sometimes people seems realy strange...
The best guide is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276 ...
All you need is in the link, read carefully and you will be good
In short V6 Supercharger is a complete memory management (for RAM).

You don't flash v6, it is a script you run from a terminal,, you download it as a pdf (due to some size limitation) also worth running the start up kit before hand to make sure everything is in place, all the info is there in the op of the thread.
As an after note.....understand what you are doing before you mess with your phone,.....saves the heart break of a soft or hard brick.....
Okay.. thanks..

I don't have a SGH 1777 myself, but I was rooting it for my cousin and I had no idea ROM manager was corrupt.
If anyone has any idea how to unbrick or fix through Odin please feel free to share.
My friend should not have to pay for my ignorance.

Rom Manager is not corrupt, just no official support for our device. -- Hence the Sticky Thread Warning in this forum.
U probably are gonna have to flash back to Stock...see the stickies in the Dev forum. U can gain Root access there as well. All info that u need is in the stickies.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda premium
Thanks. I was reading the stickies, but I couldn't find the stock ROM that is flashable through Odin. Could you point me in the right direction please?

Thank you. And just a quick question, I flash the kernel on that page with Odin correct?
U can use either Odin or Heimdall to flash the rooted system, kernel and modem.
