I'm still having the same problem after selecting custom ringtone. The ringtone only sounds once and does not repeat. I missed a few calls because of that.

unable to change notification tone too.. not sure siyah or galnet miui issue.

Music + Notification = Quite music.

Basically if I'm listening to music with headphone and I get a notification the music volume doesn't go to its original level, I have to press the audio down button for it to go back to what it was.
I'm using a CM9 Nightly (07-05-2012) with Siyah kernel 3.2RC1 also happened on precisois versions of CM9 and on stock kernel.
Anyone else with this issue? Is it ROM related? It cant be a modem issue? Suggestions much appreciated.

Yup it's rom related. It is known bug for CM9 and AOKP ROM.
ROM related, posted billions of times. Use PowerAMP as a temporary fix.

Why does poweamp fix it? Cyanogen had a similar issue before where the the app didn't take back audio control or something. Isn't this just the same idea?

No vibration when receiving SMS

I'm on wanamlite LPG rom with jkay 14.0 and ics domination 4.6 theme installed on my international galaxy s2 set
The problem is that when I change to vibrate mode I don't get any vibration on receiving a SMS ...I've tried using sound manager and changed settings to vibrate whenever possible and that didn't work too...Sammy rom doesn't seem to have any vibration setting in the SMS ...but when I use 3rd party app like go SMS the vibration alert works perfectly ...when sound is enabled I get sound alerts for SMS perfectly just this vibration doesn't work
Any help will be really appreciated thank you

Hi mate,
You have to check that the "vibrate" toggle is turned on!
You have to enable toggle in jkay settings!

4.2.2 ringer issues

Ever since I flashed 4.2.2 my phone only rings once then goes silent. It happens on both 4.2.2 roms I use. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be or does anyone else have this problem? I looked in settings, tried different kernels, different ring tones too. Went to an jb backup 4.2.1 n my ringer is fine

i sometimes have a no sound problem after a reboot on 4.2.2 but i just reboot it again and the sound is back. im sure you may have aleady tried wiping cache/dalvik and fixing permissions...but if not give it a shot.

I figured out the problem. 4.2.2 doesn't play nice with CUSTOM ringtones. You have to use system ringtones. Maybe the developers will make a fix for this soon.

4.2.2 Ringer Issue.

One every 4.2.2 ROM I've notice that once an incoming call comes through the phone will ringer for about 3 seconds then the ringer goes out and continues to vibrate. I saw another post where someone said the issue is custom ringers but I'm using the stock sounds. Any idea how to fix this?

I don't have an issue with my ringers. I have custom ringers (mp3's), and system ringers (ogg's) and they all work and play for the duration of the rings. I have them all moved to my internal memory. Maybe that helps?
I'm currently on Paranoidkangdroid and I use to be on SOA, and FJ's with no issues either.

I never moved my stock sounds so they should be on the internal storage. Strange. I'm on slimbean now but its happen on other ROMs.

I am having the same problem and find it to be ROM agnostic. I have tried several different ROMS including JellyBam and Slimbean with the same problem of one ring & multiple vibrations.
The only thing I can think to try is to take the current preferred ringtone and, using an audio editor, create a new ringtone by copying the ringtone and paste it over & over (a few times) to create one longer ringtone.

I finally looped a ringtone using an audio editor. I looped it six times with 1.5 seconds silence between each ring and you cannot tell the difference between it and a properly cycling ringtone.
Would rather it worked properly, but this work around will do the trick.
