[Q] Android 2.2... DG? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

In my tablet (strange one - GoClever i70 - no docs on the net; with usb host so I can't do anything with adb) I see Android, but it's in version 2.2DG. I don't see any "update" option here.
I also can't enter fastboot (only buttons power, menu, reset).
What exactly is the DG version of Android? And how can I enter fastboot?

[Q] Getting to fastboot / bootloader mode

Hi,
after some complications with the partition mapping on my tablet i finaly extracted the boot.img created a custom boot.img. Now want to flash it back using adb, fastboot or flash_image. Afaik flash_image isnt supported, get some errors "error scanning partitions"....
So i tried to flash with adb / fastboot, but it is required to boot to bootloader mode.
I tried many key combinations on my tablet (power button, home, volume keys) and apps to boot it into bootloader mode but was not successfull yet ("adb shell reboot bootloader" and Quick Boot App from Play Store).
I´ve got an Allwiner A10 Tablet with T15A_V5 Mainboard and 1GB RAM (like the goclever a103 tablet). Also known as (same hardware):
- Manta MID06
- Point of View Protab XXL
- Goclever A103
- Storex eZee'Tab 10C
- Coby 1042
- Yarvik TAB464
Any idears how to get to bootloader mode or flash the img back?
Ty.

easier to get anwsers for apple devices than getting feedback here... wtf?!
You don't reflash these A10-based tablets from bootloader mode. AFAIK they don't even have a bootloader mode.
You reflash them from your PC using the Livesuit program, with the tablet connected over USB.
The tablet has to be put in a specific mode (FEL mode) in which the screen will remain dark and a different USB device will be detected by the PC (Livesuit comes with a driver for this).
To put the tablet in this mode :
- turn in off completely (not just standby mode) and disconnect the USB cable
- start the Livesuit program, and select the firmware image (.img file) you want to flash
- hold the Volume- button on the tablet and while holding it, connect the USB cable to the PC
- while still holding Volume-, make a succession of quick press and release on the power button (at least 5 or 6 in my experience)
You'll hear your PC detecting a new USB device.
- release the button
- make a force installation of the driver that came with Livesuit
A popup should appear asking if you want to do a forced format. Choose yes, then flashing should begin (progression bar)
livesuit wont install
i downloaded livesuit but when i try to install it blinks out and nothing happens can i get help please ? im so close to fixing my Eglide Pro III

[Q]Okay, I probably bricked my Prime... What to do now...

Okay, first of all, I feel quite stupid now... What happened?
0. I rooted my prime (motorchopper) and used the unlock-tool
1. I installed Clockwork mod (and upgraded it)
2. I tried to backup the stockrom (the latest version from Asus itself: 4.1.1): this did not work
3. Clockwork seemed to work, though I was still struggling with the tether-app
4. I could enter the fastboot menu, but it did not boot unless I did nothing (then it used the stock-rom)
5. then the accident (yes, it was an accident...) happened: I went through the options in the (still standard) menu and choose to flash the rom. I tried to cancel that, but by accident I hit volume up (and not down...)
ouch...
6. the tablet reboots, but the only things I see are:
- upper left corner: "device is unlocked"
- centre: Asus-logo
- right under corner Nvidia logo
7. when I connect the tablet to my PC and hit volume up + power, the PC 'recognizes' the tablet as an APX device (in device manager)
(this gave me some hope). Power + volume down gives the same as under 6.
8. I installed the ASUS USB-drivers and Windows 7 (on my laptop) recognizes the tablet under devicemanager: "Asus Transformer Prime APX interface" (the tablet has a black screen and seems to be turned off). When I turn it on, the same logo and connection is lost
9. I tried this topic (as Leipy did in this post).
10. the only response I get from fastboot / adb is: < waiting for device > (when using fastboot) or "error: device not found" (when using ADB) (on any of the commands I give)
11. I'm posting this as a last resort. I cannot post under development (not enough rights), so I post it under troubleshoot.
the question:
- is there still some hope for my tablet?
Thanx for any help you can give me (or some suggestions for a new tablet... )

That is hard bricked.
The links you posted could be fixed because they could still enter the bootloader and fastboot.
You can only access APX which is useless without Nvflash Backups.
Search is a wonderful thing, they say...

Mine is in a similar situation, but I got there completely differently. I had unlocked the bootloader, rooted, and install CWM from ROM Manager. Rebooted, held down the volume + power button, selected wipe data by mistake, and waited.. and waited... when it didn't do anything for almost an hour I figured it must have been done, or I was screwed. Rebooted, and it's at the Asus screen. The rest is the same, as far as the APX device and whatnot. A new motherboard is the only option here? I have a hard time believing that.

[Help] Bricked ASUS MeMo Pad 10 (ME103K) - only Fastboot, no Recovery

Dear everyone,
I have an ASUS MeMoPad 10 (ME103K) here which I vowed to fix. The user wanted to revert to Factory Defaults, lost power or something like this, and ended up with a bricked device.
I can only start it with power button + volume up, into Fastboot. Secure Boot is enabled.
I have Android SDK and minimal FastBoot installed. Have the Google USB Drivers on my desktop.
I tried flashing SuperBoot (ADB), but ADB simply lists "Waiting for Device". No devices can be listed. It does show up in Windows Device Manager: ASUS Android Bootloader Interface.
I have the following files available:
- SuperBoot r5
- Kernel: l-8064-r1_V12.16.1.12-201508071139-foss.tar
- UL-K01E-WW-12.16.1.12-user
- recovery-original-me103k
There is apparently no recovery.img for this device. The boot.img is in the UL-K01E-WW-12.16.1.12-user file
Power = ASUS logo then goes black
Power + Volume up = Fastboot
Power + Volume down = /
Power + Volume up+down = /
Is this the place I should be looking? I'm honestly not sure if I can catch up with the details: android.stackexchange.com/questions/124344/trying-to-flash-a-system-img-i-took-with-dd-failing
Any help would be much appreciated!

EDIT:
fastboot devices now detects #serialnumber
Alright, fastboot now detects my device. I installed PDANet which didn't do anything, and then downloaded another adbfastboot package which hit it.
I'm able to start writing boot.img, but that's what it stays at. It's an 8MB file, so it shouldn't take half an hour, I suppose?
I'm not getting any error message either, though.
EDIT: It seems that regardless of what commands I send, they stall and don't get executed. ADB doesn't seem to find any devices, only Fastboot does.
EDIT 2: Tried the same on my laptop. Different ports. Nothing goes further than for example "Writing 'boot' - that's it.
Bump (won't bump until tomorrow late)

Recover Asus Me103k (k01e)
1) Stock recovery:
View attachment k01e_stock_recovery.zip
3) Run it without flash:
Code:
fastboot boot k01e_stock_recovery.img
3) In recovery select to install UL-K01E-WW-12.16.1.12-user.zip (early placed on microsd)
4) Also can check boot ability:
Extract boot.img from update firmware zip UL-K01E-WW-12.16.1.12-user
And run it from fastboot:
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
If Android loaded normaly after it, but after reboot you see FASTBOOT MODE, than execute this commands:
Code:
fastboot oem reset-dev_info
fastboot reboot

Hi,
after all these years I remembered my asus memo... Such a fine displsay but ... . I discovered an unofficial rom for another old device ( samsung gt 5830) and so I'd like to ask you whether you know any possibility to "upgrade" the MeMo or any other way to pitch / patch it. Your reply here let me think that you are very attached to asus memo, maybe you are still interested.

Same here, running the device on Lollipop is awfully slow, KitKat is somewhat better though but those are the only two official ROM's which can be found and installed.
Tried to unlock the bootloader to try different ROM's but bootloader is locked, despite all info here on XDA, nothing seems to work and the bootloader remains locked. Unlock APK's also give no result.
Running out of options here, any suggestions will be appreciated.

I am having alot of problems uprading my routed k1 ideapad. What can I do?

Hi, I have a Lenovo K1 Ideapad (routed Android 3.1, 2.6.36.3 kernel version. ROM version: K1_A301_02_02_110930_CA ) and I am wanting to upgrade to a 4.2.2 Custom ROM or higher , but I can't get my tablet to go into recovery mode. I have tried doing it manually (hold Vol+ and vol- while holding power) but it goes to boot up and all I get at that point is an all black screen and my side swipe sensor LED's light up and stay on. The screen is black (fully). The recovery screen doesn't show up. Even after waiting for 30 minutes:. I can still boot it up normally, and it works. But no recovery. I have also tried adb, and various terminal apps, but they only reboot my tablet - regardless that I type "su reboot recovery" or the other similar commands. I have tried using ROM Manager, but the k1 isn't supported and when i press the reboot to recovery option, the k1 just reboots normally. I have rooted my k1 using this method:
1. Extract K1Root.rar to the directory of your choosing.
2. Connect your tablet to your PC with the USB cable.
3. With your tablet off, press POWER+VOL_UP+VOL_DOWN until the screen turns on, but displays only black.
4. Windows should detect the device, but not install drivers.
5. Go into device manager, select the APX device, choose update
drivers, and install the drivers from the aptly named NVFlash_Drivers
folder.
6. Open up the NVFLASH_HOME folder and run the file K1Flash.bat
7. Make your desired choices when prompted, and enjoy.
I downloaded superuser, ROM Manager, Busybox and root checker. and
checked the status of the root, and it said the root was successful. The tablet ran well. But as I played with it a bit I found that an alarming amount of apps were becoming incompatible (ones I had wanted before rooting n stuff). One game that was preloaded was no longer playable (until they updated it a few months later), More and more apps now aren't compatible with android 3.1 anymore, thus me trying a custom ROM. All instructions followed were for the K1 Ideapad. I am now noticing that various processes are now coming up as needing to be force closed, like the launcher process for example. I am at a loss of what to do. Do you have any advice? Thanks in advance!
