Is there any way to check the manufacture date or month by using a serial number?
Thanks!

Hi,
I was wondering if there are different versions of S3's like for S2's (ie, Singapore differ from US etc), because i want to buy an S3 online from a reseller in which the title goes by Samsung Galaxy S3 Unlocked WHITE/BLUE. Is there anyway to tell or how to check which version the seller is selling?
Thanks!
Was there a model model number?
I typed this by hand.

If its being sold online it is most likely to be the GT-I9300 international version. However be sure of the credibility of the online re seller. There have been cases where people reported to have received fake S3's..
Yes, there is:
this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alxdroiddev.gs3identity
it will not only tell if it is a genuine S III, but it will also tell what specific model it is.
I was wondering if I buy used S3 how to be shure that I got the original and not the clone? Is there any specific that I can check by myself and is there some sort of samsung databse of original IMEI or serial numbers that can be queried?
Thanks.

First you have to cross check the numbers from its original box. If the android version/CSC/modem donot match its not a big problem. Main thing you have to check is IMEI. Make sure the retailer is trust worthy... oh and that there should be samsung printed at the front and back of the phone . clones cant use official brand name as far as i have seen. Just google it if you need more specific details that i am not aware of.

But i've seen grade A fake before.
Example

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyuOuKfDzSg (S3)
As I can see mostly the top and bottom basel are thicker on clones. I was thinking to buy used one, but there are too much clones in the market where I live so the only safe option will be to buy one sim locked to a carrier. Thanks guys.
Any other opinion is welcome.
Hi, just got a new G5 H850 European version, and saw it has a 604K... serial number (on the side of the white box).
After seeing this video I am curious about the differences between the
new and old serial number G5's, wondering if I should return it.
Mine was bought 9 November 2016 (officially imported by LG in Romania) and it came with a 604K serial, meaning April 2016,
why could it be so old, didn't they renew the stock for 7 months ?
Also, the HW revision from Settings->About Hardware is Rev 1.0, and on the green box it says "MAY66193505(1.0)WR".
What are your serial numbers and purchase dates ?
Does anyone have a HW revision bigger that 1.0 ?
Thanks.
Hi all does anyone know if they notify you when you can upgrade or do you have to check online? I got the s9+ when it came out so think I will be due an upgrade when the s10 is released.
I did find a link and put in my contract number and surname but it just sent me to a blank page
Thanks guys
Hi All,
I am from the UK and purchased this watch a few weeks ago, it arrived while I was away but since returning I can't get certain apps like Samsung Pay, I am led to believe I have been sold a watch which was not meant to be sold in the UK hence why I am missing features. I have unfortunately run out of time returning the item.
Seeking some advice on how I can go about loading on the correct firmware, if at all possible to get Samsung Pay (one of the main reasons why I purchased the watch)
Model Number: SM-R500
Serial: R5AM305HXGH
Software Version: R500XXU1BSB7
One UI Version 1.0
Tizen Version 4.0.0.3
I have done some research and found a post relating to my model watch - https://forum.xda-developers.com/sm.../sm-r500-watch-active-stock-firmware-t3913696
Any help appreciated on how I can do this.
