yup a lot of employers offer amazing discounts to employees, i get 25% off my sprint bill
i get 19% off and 1 % donated to dave thomas foundation for adoption from when i worked at wends many years ago
My local electric company gets me a 19% discount. All I did was bring in my bill for proof and on the next cycle it was there.
Miui Rom with the Anthrax powered kernel \m/
I talked to the associate who signed me up and got his 23% discount, but the other day I walked into my credit union and they had a flyer that sprint would give a discount to people just for being a credit union member. It didn't even specify THAT credit union.
Im getting 19% off..

Any other Sprint employees trying to get an Evo 3D? I'm a B2B rep for a preferred dealer and I got the same old story they gave everyone last year with the Evo. EMPLOYEES MUST WAIT!
Anyway around this? buying the phone at full price? Just started at Sprint 2 months ago so I'm not that familiar with how this stuff works yet.

You are an employee? Radio Shack didnt ask to change you plans?
Im on SERO-P and trying to figure out where i can upgrade aside from Sprint.
I am sure if you go into the shack or BB and pay full retail for it they will not question you as to why you want to not have them activateit for you.
It's my understanding that when you call Sprint customer care to activate the phone, they wont put it on your employee plan. I'd consider paying full price but I don't want to get stuck with a $500 phone I can't use.

The probably reprovisioned your account, unthrottling you. With the network vision stuff, we should see drastic improvements in Q1 2012 hopefully.

Like hell they don't. After the Evo 4G came out and they offered their cheap unlimited, they had a huge influx of customers. After that, major network areas had problems with people even able to get data at all. How did they fix it? They let everyone have data, just at a slower speed. How else do you think reprovisioning works? Or deleting the Sprint proxies inside EPST?

Not true. Think of it like the QoS settings on a router. To maintain everybody having network access, they limit the speeds of everybody.

Ugh, are you kidding me? I didn't even know they did this so called reprovisioning. I've complained a lot before about their data, this is kind of the problem. Sprints equipment is way under par, that's why their data sucks. This network vision crap better be a big upgrade to both speed and capacity to their total network, or it won't mean jack in the long run.
So its time for me to jump ship and move to a new carrier (Moved away and sprints service here is even worse then were I was) I'm not getting calls for job call backs which is hurting me a lot. So I will be switching to T-Mobile or Verizon. Never will go back to AT&T.
I love this phone though. I was a Evo 4G owner before EVO 3D. What phone would be best suited for me that is currently out, or coming out in the future for either carrier? Must be VERY powerful (I like saying I have one of the most powerful smartphones in available) And it needs to have a huge XDA base. I'm a flashaholic... (Pretty much rules out samsung...
You picked the 2 best carriers...
Verizon - Galaxy Nexus
There should be a lot of ROM's, cyanogenmod support should be quick, and the bootloader will be unlockable right after you get it. This is probably the choice that I would go with since the galaxy nexus is a google phone, the XDA base will be the largest, etc. etc. The Galaxy Nexus will be google's and verizon's flagship phone.
T-Mobile - One of the Sensation phones
I don't know which one has the largest XDA base, but I think all sensation phones are the same software wise (so it might just be one section). The sensation is also the flagship tmobile phone. I think the sensation has a great developer base since there is already ICS source ROM available.
Definitely the Sensation or Amaze 4G. Just one glance to he Sensation forums should give you an idea how big it is. It's at least twice as big than here.

If he's already switching, them possibly terminating his account isn't going to matter much. Besides, he'll save some money in the meantime

True, if he wants to get terminated he actually should use that PRL and stream videos/download movies/etc.
Roaming heats up my phone and drains battery but maybe the same effect isn't present on the PRL.
I will be paying the early termination fee to sprint.
If you go with Verizon, the HTC Rezound is the most comparable to the E3D, with a faster processor and a better screen (but minus the 3D camera, of course).

Yeah, go ahead and carefully look at the terms if service allows this. All carriers used to do it. Tmobile doesn't anymore for sure. I'm guessing sprint will be the same, that if you move into an area that has bad service that clause in the contract is null. It is worth a look, because if you signed the version of the contract that allows cancellation after moving to a bad service area you have the right to not pay etf.

Hey, guys. Here's a thread that's not about ICS.
So I've been thinking about getting the new EVO because honestly, I'm done with this phone. It's getting old, beaten, and less responsive. I do not want to return this for a refurbished, due to the fact I unlocked my phone using revolutionary and would not like to deal with the new hboot method.
I'm also getting very slow data speeds, even on Wimax, and coverage for me is spotty at best. The airave is a little help, except for the fact, that from time to time it would send the same text message 17 times.
I don't really use much internet, so i wouldn't mind giving up my unlimited for a 2GB data plan on ATT. I messed with the Note and it is AMAZING especially LTE. Point is, does anyone know if I could recieve an upgrade from Sprint early? That way, I would stay with sprint, get the new Evo, and see if Sprints coverage and LTE is actually worth staying for another two years. I've been a Sprint Premiere gold customer since I joined when the original EVO was out, but now that they have gotten rid of it, I don't see the need to pay 100 a month for service that is mediocre at best. I'm willing to pay the ETF to leave for something better.
I know this should be in Q&A but the Evo 3D forums on XDA have been such a mess, I doubt it matters. Thanks for reading guys.

The only thing I could think of is to wait until the new Evo comes out and ours is past end of life and warranty it a few times. Might have to start before the new one comes out so you can get a 90 day warranty on the refurb before yours original warranty is up. I actually thought about this myself.

Calling Sprint and asking a few times and getting different reps "can" do the trick at times for ya...just be upfront and tell them your thinking of leaving and just want an upgrade earlier...some reps will do it, some wont.

So you are saying you have to give up your phone and pay $100.00 EFT to get out of your contract 1 year early?
The ETF at 12 months is $240.00. So you are saying that Sprint is giving you a $140.00 credit for your Evo 3d?
Edit: Found that Sprint is giving $99.00 for the Evo 3D buyback program (hell, they are still giving $90.00 for the Evo 4G). So you are about $40.00 off the price here.

My friend did the same thing when the 3d came out he was coming from the OG evo. He gave sprint his OG with the buyback program crediting him $100 bucks. Then he renewed his contract for another 2 years picking up the 3d for $100 bucks total with the $100 credit from his OG turn in. Now Im not sure if it was just that time it could be done because Sprint wasnt as popular at that time then it is now since picking up the iphone and the only carrier to have unlimited data. I hope that type of offer remains because I too want to get the new Evo LTE. I started up with Sprint when the 3D came out which was june 24 of last year so when the Evo LTE releases it should be my 1 year mark. Im keeping my fingers crossed.

So if the evo lte srp is 500-600, you get only 150 off of that? Or 150 off the 200 subsidized price?
Well it does say off of SRP, but I hope I can get it for the sub price.
I have an Evo 3D on my plan right now and i bought the evo 4g lte full price.
Has anyone with an indirect sales maker plan , employee plan or third party employee plan been able to get this phone activated ?
If so i would be interested to find out how. Going through my companies rep is not possible for me at this time.
I tried online and it ask me to change my plan
i tried calling in but could not get to anyone who could do a simple ESN swap.
any suggestions.
Thank you.
Don't you have to call corporate for that?

Were you able to get it on your Sero/Emp Plan? Kinda curious. It was communicated that they wouldnt allow it on 3rd party/retailer plans for the first couple weeks, I lucked out since i have a regular consumer plan so i threw that bad boy right on my account at work
