Last august I got my Galaxy Ace. Since I'm new to Android, I haven't made any modifications to the phone.
Thinkfree office came installed on my phone. But since a few weeks I'm unable to edit my files, the keyboard is greyed out. I sent an e-mail to the Thinkfree support team, but I got no reply from them.
Does anyone know where the problem lies?
Phone information:
Samsung Galaxy Ace.
Network: T-Mobile Netherlands.
Android version: Gingerbread.boks3
Thinkfree version: 2.0.110919
Thanks for your replies.
Rob.
Ah een nederlander ... Ik had hetzelfde probleem wat ik had gedaan was factory reset en in recovery clear cache
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
Ik zou het graag zonder een factory reset doen. En buffer wissen lukt niet.
I'd like to get it fixed without a factory reset. Clear cache is not possible.
Just in case I want to do a factory restore.
I looked around and found this 'checklist':
Backup your documents, music and pictures.
Make a list of all installed apps.
Then goto 'Settings', 'Privacy' and click on 'Factory data reset' (standaardgegevens herstellen).
Next select 'format USB storage'
The phone will reset itself now.
Which leaves me with two new questions:
Can I leave the SIM card in the phone, while doing this?
Will I have the same Androidversion I had before the reset? (Are the updates from Kies kept in the phone, or do I need to update again?)
Thanks for any replies.
@Robinandroid: bedankt voor de snelle reactie. Ik houd het topic verder in het Engels, voor andere forumgebruikers.
You can let the simcard in
And you will have the same android version that is installed
Made my first rom for galaxy ace :d
Just did a factory reset. Put my files back and in no-time I had my Ace up and running.
Problem sloved, thanks a lot.

try to format your hd2 with task29 and flash again.
good luck
hmm i tried 2 version of task29..
1) Stop at 4% ---Valid Device
2) The Loader doesnt start after 10min waiting 0%
Sorry to say but it sounds like a hardware issue to me. I know a few people with HD2's that have suffered this death.

Just flash the right stock ROM (download from the HTC webpage by using YOUR S/N) over SD-card.

No, i install it over .exe from o2 online page..
After many trys the task29 is working an i format my hd2 and install over .exe the O2 Rom from the Costumer Page
Same prob here
Same problem here, tried different ROMs including stock, flashed with hspl, then from SD, nil response to touch, need to send it for repair, was so happy to see wm7 on hd2, guess it's gonna be a little longer before i try it out on my hd2
wonder why it would happen around the same time, my screen stopped responding last evening while running miui nand just tought i'd flash a new one today, problem persisted, so flashed energy rom - nil response, downloaded latest official rom from htc website - initially the screen responded, then went slow & then nil response to touch, since then i flashed stock rom from sd - nil response
sounds like your phone followed the same pattern
would hardware failure follow patterns ????
& yes the sd was 2gb
haven't tried task29, guess flashing official rom from sd will be enough, or do i really need task29 to wipe out everything from internal memory ???
definetly perform a task29.. i performed it before i installed WP7 and it ran great, but i couldn't get my google contact so i reflashed android.. big mistake.. after that the rom runs slow.. and the touchscreen freezes for aroud 2-3 sec.. perfomed it again today.. everything is fine so i suggest u do it too and good luck
task29 + re-flash = screen still unresponsive
got to go to the service center mane
hope to see my hd2 soon, up & running wp7

This is a multi cultural forum; pleas wright in English!!
Dear xda members, I was trying to flash my S II using odin, during the repartition the power went out (blown fuse) so now I've got a phone that bassically doesn't respond to anyhing. I've tried to enter download mode etc. but the power won't go on. The 2 things i did before the drama happend were; "wipe cache partition" and "wipe data/factory reset". So my question to you guys is if there is anyone who knows how to fix this?
Hello, same thing here. Phone no respond on whatever you do (except from getting warm when u charge it).
Ur phone circuit board (motherboard or whaterver). is empty as the new firmware wasn't able to install.
only solution is repair service center. They will jtag your phone with new firmware or they will replace your circuit board with a new one(which has already installed firmwared).
Dont know if you root ur phone or used custom roms. mine was legit and warranty was in use so no cost of repair.
but even if the device was rooted i dont think they can find out if it was or not. so you can seel "Kiez did it !" and use ur warranty
Don't they ***** about waranty then? I mean the only thing i really did was just putting it back on factory reset right?
Try it's response an usb jig. If it doesn't respond you'll have to send it in I guess.
heh ook rotterdam But I don't have a jig so any other options?
Ozz just send it to service center and say " wanted to upgrade to gingerbread and Kiez after a while wasn't responding" neither my phone . after i restart it ,that happend.
And they will blame Kiez meaning you are legal for warranty
Ik ben bang dat je vrienden mag gaan worden worden met de samsung klantenservice... Alles op kies schuiven is het enige wat je nog kan doen.
So upgrading to gingerbread doesn't break my waranty? (Is it like an official OS for the galaxy sII?), and Joop I've bought the phone yesterday so can I just bring it back to the store (something like an 8 day store waranty in NL standard). Typed it in english so others can understand it to
ye 2.3.3 official update. well as u said u can use DOA European standar and send the phone back to store to get another one (best choice since you will not wait for repair time)
Hello, so this problem really started randomly, doesn't matter what I do, lets say I type a message my Lumia's screen is completely not responding like its dead, the search, windows or back keys, don't work either, but I can lock the phone, when I lock it and unlock it, everything is fine for some time, then again, I did a soft reset to check if there were no apps running that might have been stuck, nothing worked, then I actually did a hard reset, which helped for like 10 minutes and then the problem was there again... I am using Windows Phone 7.8, I don't know if that could be the problem, because I've been using it for few days and the problem came up only today, so, if anyone could help I would be really thankful, because the problem is really annoying.

This forum have only one language. English. Please, respect this fact.
I know its weird, but everythings alright now, I just kept the phone off for the night and in the morning, ta-da!
The thread can be closed.
So, that's the thing, I received this phablet: 3nstar T705s-01 (Chinese made), from a friend who "accidentally" got viruses on it.
I tell him not to worry because I know that flashing to the stock ROM it can be easily fixed, the thing is that nobody on the internet have this stock ROM, I read a lot of post and differents forums but no one had the exact ROM, after a couple of hours some guy posted a ROM and claimed that it works perfectly on the T705S. After seeing so many chinese pages with all kind of ROMs this cheer me up, so I proceed to flash.
The thing is, everything went well, but, it wasn't the right ROM, and now that I found the real one after some longs and tedious e-mails that I wrote to the providers I can't flash it again because SP Flash Tool gave me "DA didn't send response data to flash tool".
The thing is, I don't feel like it is a HARD BRICK, because my pc recognize it when I plug it and press "Power + VolUp", but nothing appears on the screen and I really don't know what else to do.
Guys please, if someone already answer this or solve it, please just give me the links, I'm tired and sad, I have no money to pay this tablet and I live in Venezuela, the things are pretty bad here.
Please, please, help me. I don't know what else to try.
##Update 25/7/2016##
So, I tried again flashing, nothing but failure. I'll give up, sadly nobody knows how to fix this.
PS: Excuse my bad english, it isn't my first language.
escribele a la compañia yo hice eso y me enviaron la rom por el correo y pude recuperar mi tablet
Has anyone successfully flashed stock firmware to one? I just got a brand new one on ebay for $65 so if I can't do it it's not a huge deal but it sure would be nice to bypass the 50% battery software lock. I've seen a couple people say they did it successfully in youtube comments and stuff but I'm not sure if they actually did or not.
If you just want to bypass battery lock, try charging via factory reset menu or download mode

Just charging while off allows it to go past 50%.
Edit: Before setting the phone up it would charge past 50% while powered off - after setup it will not go past 50. Will try charging in recovery mode and see what happens. I have a feeling if you flashed a retail ROM on the demo unit before actually powering it up and letting it go into the operating system for the first time it would probably work.
Edit 2: Charging in recovery mode works even post setup.

Hi, curious how you got into recovery mode. I have demo unit with retail mode removed. I tried holding vol down and power button after turning off, and it doesn't work. Also tried pw down + accessory button + power and didn't work either
Thanks. PS. I wouldn't try flashing a retail firmware /rom because everything that I have read it results in a brick..which recovering from is still being figured out.
EDIT: I remembered I can ADB into recovery. Combo buttons do not seem to work for recovery mode.
1) But rebooting into recovery only shows DEAD ANDROID GUY WITH red "!". And this mode will just auto reboot after a few minutes.
2) Rebooting into FACTORY RESET mode (using button combos after completely turning off device) .......charging beyond 50% seems to work, but the phone screen remains on and fairly bright. I wonder if repeatedly leaving the device on for an hour or 2 every day will eventually give screen burn.

Hi, does either mode have the option of turning screen off and or monitoring battery charge?
I managed to get into factory reset mode (vol down + power, release and repress power) but it appears it sits with screen on always .
Also how do you get into recovery mode? Tried many ways, cannot seem to get into it.
Thanks...
EDIT...remembered I could ADB into recovery. Although recovery mode on my demo unit with retail mode removed does not seem to have proper recovery mode anymore. Only can get dead android guy with red "!" when going into that mode.
Can report going into factory reset mode does seem to work for charging beyond 50%
Hello, has anyone noticed that the demo unit has reduced the maximum frequency of all cores by about 1 Gh, maybe the same applies to the video core. Is it possible to fix this or not to bypass the firmware limitation? Thank you in advance
Hello guys, what's new about 50%?
I see that now we can unbrick and root the demo.
Does anyone win the challenge?

Entering method is same with other phones such as V40
