System fonts - HTC EVO 3D

There was a post of 300+ fonts when I had my evo 4G, I'm not sure if I didn't dig deep enough but can find it for the 3d. I got a few in my sd card but it just won't flash. I'm on hboot 1.4 s-off using Olympus rom. Any suggestions anyone?

we have different mount points than the 4G, you could extract the font zip you want, and then paste the fonts into /system/fonts.

Will do now. thanks

Ok so I got root explorer the font I got I "extract all" then takes me to an extracted folder. What am I doing wrong?

Ok so I got it, it was late last night, couldn't think straight and we stay up late because these phones are addictive. (think we need to go to evo3d anonymous) anyway, it don't change all the fonts just like in the dial pad, browser but not in the home screen. Do I got to delete the old font?

i always have conflicts with fonts for some reason

I use Font Changer(Root) and it works great. I just look online for the fonts and flash via the Font Changer apk. I'm using Sansumi now.

can anyone tell me where i can get fonts for my infected evo 3d...
You can check this thread out here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=801160
And check out dafont.com. Keep in mind these aren't flashable. Use an app called font changer from the market. You will need to download the zip of the font you want, extract the .tff file, and put it in the, .fontchanger folder. When it asks to reboot, just reboot manually instead of letting the app do it or you will have to do a battery pull.

Those do not work on the evo 3d. Only way I know of is the font changer from the market. I use "custom android font changer" just fine and u can add your own or it has built in fonts aswell.

Believe me, they work fine on the 3d. Like I said, you can't flash them, no, but you pull the .tff files from the zip. If he does what I suggested, he'll be fine

Yeah, they worked for me too. I actually used to use font installer and now use the above method.

There's an app called font installer in the market, easier than sifting through 100's of fonts

Install Instructions:
1. Make sure the app is named Vending.apk.
2 Using root explorer or advice, move it to /system/app/ and replace the previous version, which should also be named vending apk. I recommend backing up the older versionusing titanium backup before replacing it.
3. Set the permissions to rw-r--r--

No mClocks are working (Found solution!)

I've created an mClock folder on my phone, dragged the files with images into it and when I click on one of the .xml files, it shows the time/date but no image/template behind it. Ive also tried adding these files to my SD card with no luck.
Not sure why the background is not showing up, anybody have any idea?
Edit: Okay I found a solution for anybody who ends up here somehow. The mClock skin needs its own folder inside of the "mClock" folder you've created on your phones storage. So on your phones storage (didnt work on my SD for some reason), create a folder called "mClock" and within that folder create another one with the name of the zip. So I downloaded a skin called "ribbons", so the folder inside your mClock folder should be called "ribbons". Then drag everything into that ribbons folder and you should be good to go!
Sorry if confusing lol
Have you looked in the Android themes section where the mclock thread is yet? There are a lot of the same question there about mclock not showing up properly. from what I would speculate is that the background image isn't in the right folder where the xml file is supposed to find it. That usually is my problem as well.

Editing: Found solution, in OP.
sadly the solution doesn't work for me :'( ...
in my case i've tried internal and external no difference. my layout is mnt/sdcard/mclock/sayit/hdpi/xmls/ and when i select my xml it will appear in preview but not when i press back. i can grab it but it is invisible and shows nothing.
Sent from my Galaxy S II Skyrocket
You also need to make sure the "mClock" folder you create on your sd is exact....(lowercase "m", capitol "C") If not the whole path will be ruined. Inside the .xml you can look at the path, just make sure you name your folder correctly!
Ye when I posted it was just mclock but tried mClock no difference...
ok on a stock rom it won't even appear in preview anymore. it will however appear on homescreen but without xml modification its just the regular font.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727R using XDA App
are you're themes in .zip format, are you unzipping and moving the folder inside your "mClock" folder on your sd? If so, you need to open up the .xml in notepad and make sure what the path is, should be (sd/mClock/nameofyourfolder) make sure everything is spelled correctly and that everything is on the same path as the .xml, otherwise it wont work.
It was downloaded as a zip yes. But as I stated in my first post it is sdcard/mClock/Sayit/hdpi/xmls/ and it is in there

It shouldn't be all that.....it should be, sdcard/mClock/"themefolder") Inside the folder of whatever theme you're using should be the .png,.ttf font file, and the .xml. all in the theme folder of you're choice.

[q] ENERGY ROM - SCREENSHOT NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Installed the newest Energy Rom. Flashed the stock kernel so that way I wouldn't have problems. Everything seems to be working right except for 2 things:
1. Screenshots
2. Sim Toolkit
When I press Power + Home.... the screen flashes and it makes the sound and says "screenshot saved to Camera Shots" but when I go there, no screenshot gets saved....
Its frustrating because I use that feature A LOT!!!!!
I don't know whether I should have posted this in the development threads or here.... I just know there are a lot of good people here that might know how to fix this.
When I try to open Sim Toolkit ... it says "Sim Toolkit is not ready or unsupported"
How do I fix this?????
Did you upgrade your SIM Card when you got the Amaze?
As far as the screenshots go I'm using Energy and it works fine. Do you have enought space on your sdcard?

First have file explorer and look either on your SDCARD (Internal) and under DCIM folder it is there if it is not look in your SDCARD2 (External) the mountable one and look in the same folder as i mention from the above..
Second if it is still not there pull or edit your build.prop using the file explorer with root permision and find the ff. Line..
If your
ro.htc.framework.screencapture = false
You need to change it to
ro.htc.framework.screencapture = true
and go to your cwm and clear dalvik-cache
Otherwise just download any screen capture app on the market like shootMe or ScreenShot It

About the SIM Toolkit it a carrier based tool for stuff that the older phones needs like for ringtones read/backup contact if your sim contacts are full etc.. since older phone dont have nor didn't have market like the android market to get stuffs like what we have today..
As for 2.3 android stop or don't have support for SIM toolkit anymore nor i think newer SIMs for it is not needed for the most anymore.. cyanogen MOD 7 still have that tool but it is laggy as hell and most of the time doesn't work.. still you can access the menu and stuff but not fully working..
Couldn't find the screen shots anywhere... neither the internal nor external... so looks like I have to do step 2 that you mentioned.... so my question is... where do I find these files???

I fixed the problem by reflashing the stock kernel (provided with the Energy Rom) and then reflashing the Rom itself... seems to work.... hopefully it wont mess up again.... or I'm gonna have to remove Energy Rom.... and I don't wanna do that...

Installing HTC eReader

So I have been researching on how to install the HTC eReader apk onto my rooted Evo 3D running CM9 by Joelz. What I found is that i have to move the apk into system/app and then change the permissions, yet every time i move it there it gives me an error. I also tried changing the permissions while the apk was still in the sdcard folder, yet no soup. Any suggestions?
I'm thinking because im HBoot 1.50 it's not true root so i can't change permissions. If that's true any work around? I loved that app and have tried countless others with no satisfaction.

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but in the file manager that you are using, do you have the options set " Mount file system - Mount /./system as writable" ? that could explain the errors that you might be having and also pretty sure if you have to allow it superuser permission... I at times forget myself to make sure to enable it to be writable. Hope it helps....
