[Q] Screen issue? - HTC Titan

I just noticed yesterday when what looked like jail bars on my screen. I noticed today with screen off or on white background. About a dozen lines going straight down. Is this what people are calling banding?

Just turned phone completely off and still see it. Time to go to AT&T

Note to self. When you get your phone replaced by warranty. Make sure the replacement is looked at before you let them wipe your phone. Went to AT&T store. They saw my issue. We looked at demo but couldn't see it on that one. Let her wipe my old device while she was preparing the new one. She then thought to look at screen with battery out and saw the same thing. We mentioned this to the Windows phone 7 rep and he said he is software only but would ask their HTC rep. (He probably won't) Glad I have a year warranty to replace my replacement if this turns into anything worse. The screen looks fine when I have watching videos or looking at it.

I have the same bars. Only noticeable when the screen is off. I believe it is due to the way the LCD screen works. I believe all of them will have that.

Mine doesn't unless it is super super faint.

I started noticing those very bars on my Samsung Galaxy S II, but I always thought that's my screen protector doing it. I also notice it when the screen is off. Mind you, they only pop up occasionally, now for example they are not there. Go figure.

Screen Black out.

I got my Evo 3D on the 24th and loved it. Untill yesterday when I pulled it out of my pocket and hit the power button to turn the screen on nothing happend... Just a black blank screen. I simulated the motions on the screen to unlock it and pressed buttons and could that the phone was doing what it should be doing for where I was pressing but nothing would display. Pulled the battery out a few times and restarted it and still wouldnt display anything. Calls went through could hear texts coming in but no screen display no matter what. Went to the sprint store where I purchased it and they did a quick exchange. Now today I pulled the phone out of my pocket and SAME THING screen is blank and black but the phone is all working just not the display. I droped it off again at the sprint store, this time they have tech's on duty to look at/repair the phone so they said come back in an hour after they open it up. I know for FACT it did not get droped/wet/magnet or anything that you might think could ruin electronics. Anybody else have this happen? I searched the internet and have not seen any reports of this problem but for it to happen to 2 phones in 24hrs is just craziness.
Stop wearing skinny jeans.
Jk, I've never heard if this problem.

I ran into an issue like yours too. Pulled the battery and it loaded fine. (I don't rock skinny jeans..lol)
Yesterday I had another issue when i took a picture and the pic I took stayed on the screen and i couldn't use the camera without a reset.
I'll be happy for root when it comes.

Screen went completely red upon waking

About a week ago I had just checked an email using the gmail app and put the phone to sleep. I then remembered I needed to do something else on my phone, so I woke it back up. Upon waking, the entire screen was red, I could see the background still, but there was noticeable artifacing at the top of the screen. I unlocked the phone, and it was still the same. I could use the phone as normal, but the entire screen was a translucent red. I put the phone to sleep and woke it back up and everything was back to normal.
I am still in my 30 days of ownership, so I was wondering if anyone thinks this was a one time bug or if there is a deeper problem. At the time I was not rooted and was running 100% stock.
I'd most definately take that phone back and exchange for another.
It _might_ have been a one time issue, or it might have been a symptom of a hardware issue. Why risk it?
Thats not really a common issue... in fact the first that Ive heard of. Could be a one time issue... or a hardware LCD/screen issue. Id take it back.
I hadn't heard of it either. When it happened the phone was only a few days old.
I regularly replace iphone 4 screens and I have come across red tinted screens. At least on them it was a sign of screen problems, not software. Samsung does/did make screens for Apple. I've never heard of an iphone having a red screen then dying. I have heard of them being red and not ever going back to normal colors.
Not worth the risk for me. If it was my phone I'd exchange it.

I had a similar experience, except the screen went green, and wouldn't go away until I rebooted. It was probably due to CF.Lumen though, or at least that's what I thought.
On my Captivate, every once in a long while the screen would boot or unlock with a weird color tint. Seem to recall it having been green, but couldn't swear to it.
Either way, a quick lock/unlock again made it go away. Always figured it was a software bug somewhere in the display driver...

[Q] screen replacement

I hard bricked my note a month ago so I decided to buy one off of Craigslist that was working and all I had to do was replace the screen. I had an AT&T phone so I made sure I purchased the same model. I took the broken screen out of the phone and replaced it. No broken cables everthing secure but when I turn on the phone the screen is crazydark! I checked the cables and I dont see anything wrong. Help please what went awry?!
Any pictures? How dark?
Ill post them n a sec, very dark can barely see the bottom apps on screen. I know the screen worked because it was from my other galaxy note.
I took phone apart and put back together I did notice that when I hit the back button the very top of the screen is visible. Now however I cant see anything on the screen.

the screen is turned up to the max!
Where you able to solve it ? My Galaxy Note N7000 looks like it has quite a similar problem and I'm quite sure, that it's not caused by defect hardware.
In the case that your still looking after a solution, i have posted my problem here.

[Q] Screen deforming.

alright i dont know how to put this,
the day after i get my edge (gold platinum) i noticed a little deformation in the screen. like swelling up. you can see it when the screen is on.
i noticed this by accidently, i turned a external light on my screen and i saw a swelling/deformation.
and 2 days later i checked it again. its getting worse. i saw a swelling up line in my screen. i tried to capture it on a camera but i cant find the correct angle to get it on.
what i noticed is the phone gets pretty hot and i think this is causing the issue, but im not sure.
so i went to my carrier shop. they promised m e to change it to another s6edge gold platinum. unortuantly its not on stock at this moment so i have to come back after 2 weeks.
so could anyone approve this? am i the only with this issue?
much thanks!
Not sure if this is exactly the same issue but I just posted about this a few hours ago here:

Is that what your issue looks like?

Flashing/flickering/artifacting screen?

(UPDATE: Here is a link to a short video of my issue: https://youtu.be/YqKW3tU4Fhw)
So I cant seem to find ANY info relating to this issue aside from results for the LG G4, but the solutions for said phone are all over the place. Some are bad screen, some are related to sim tray, some are related to water damage and battery etc. So basically, about a month after buying this phone (KIW-L24 US version), the screen started to artifact and flash in and out randomly. There is nothing that seems to trigger it. I have set the phone down on a table while on the homescreen and watched the lightshow. It is basically a mixture of the problems seen in these videos (Feat. LG G4).
https://youtu.be/gAUkXLR7eQI And https://youtu.be/QstOH66pfiU.
Symptoms:
Screen will randomly start to flicker and fade in and out. I will also get crazy artifacting lines. (Think de-gaussing an old CRT monitor or simillar to what is seen in the second video)
If i see the problems happening, locking the phone and unlocking again will sometimes fix it temporarily. Other times the problem continues after i turn the screen back on.
Sometimes the screen will refuse to come back on. The backlight turns on, and the digitizer responds, but the screen is still black. Making sure the screen really is off, I can come back to the phone a few minutes later and it will turn on. Other times ill have to hard reset the phone (hold power button 10 sec) and it usually brings the screen back to life.
Background:
I bought the phone "used - Like New" from amazon. It came with all the original accessories and even still had the film protector on the back of the phone. I may have noticed these problems after I received the phone, but they really only started to show about a month after purchase.
At first I though it could be software related as I was running CM13 and something could have been corrupted, so i did not just a factory restore, but a full reflash. This didn't solve the issue. Restarting my phone and the reflash did help, but the problem returned. The inability to turn the screen on persists through a reset and I have to wait till the phone boots again to get the screen back. Sometimes takes more than one reboot. This pretty much confirms a hardware issue right? If i put the phone on a black screen, i can see three small fuzzy "dots" in a triangle shape in the top left quadrant. Could the screen have been damaged by whoever owned it before returning it? They are not dead pixels per se, but seems more like areas where the backlight is showing through ever so slightly more. Not visible unless you are on a black screen in a dark room. Ill upload a video showing some of the issues. Any help is appreciated!
im afraid you need a new display brodar...
Seems to be hardware issue. You can visit the nearest service center to get it fixed for few bucks if you don't have warranty.
Yeah that's what i figured, i just needed conformation. I was able to get amazon to take the return even though I was out of the return period. So at least ill be able to get a refund. Ill just pay the extra for a new one this time haha.
One question : Do u have over heat problem with ur phone ?? If u feel ur phone is more than work from the back dont replace . U'll damage the new screen also . Some ppl erported over heat cpu issue with honor ! ;.

Try moving to stock once , if it fixed stick to it for few days . 99% of possible cases for hardware issue .
So better request for a replacement from huawei . but don't mention them that u bought it used . tell them u bought it new
