Yesterday I wanted to re-flash my ROM (did that about 4 times before without complication) because of a random wifi bug. All things did quite fine , i wiped data/system/cache/dalvik-chache/sd-ext but after i said install .zip from sd, there was the error - lavine.
Log:

What am i using:
-Sony Ericcson Xperia ray (rooted)
-FreeXperia boot.img (worked the last 4 times)
-official CM7 build for ST18i (worked last 4 times)
i even reflashed the boot.img twice, but nothing changed.
I cant even access Android because i formatted the whole device + sdcard
What am i doing wrong and what can i do now?
Please help me as fast as possible (I need my goddamn phone >.<)
Greetings
~Jay
Really don't know if that helps but once I got exactly the same error. The reason was that the file system of my SD-card was corrupted somehow. Formatting the card several times via PC didn't help. There was the same error message. Finally the solution was to flash stock firmware via Flashtool and format the card from the phone menu afterwards. After that everything worked like expected. I even don't know how the file system got corrupted but the card itself seems to be OK.
Nope. it did not work. Ain't able to flash it with flashtool even after driver updates because falshtool doesn't recognize my phone. Blargh >.<
EDIT: Okay, got Flashtool working now. Have flashed original ROM, currently backing up all things and then trying to flash CM7 or MIUI again
EDIT2: Formatted, reflashing now
EDIT3: Working again! Thank you very much!!! All i need to do now is running titanum backup all over it :3

[Q] Can't get rid of boot loop. Help?
Hi!
[TL;DR]My SGS2 is stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy SII GT-9100" screen.
I used this method already, but it is still the same.[/TL;DR]
It all happened after I tried to flash CM7.1.
Succesfully flashed, but I didnt got through the screen "Samsung Galaxy SII GT-9100" with the yellow exclamation mark.
I read on CM Forums, flashing CM twice would do the trick. It didn't.
I couldn't even install CM again. Also after trying to install the Nightlies, the same error showed up in CWMRecovery:
Code:
-- Installing: /sdcard/external_sd/cm_galaxys2:full-116.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "galaxys2" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "galaxys2" || getprop("ro.product.board") == "galaxys2" || getprop("ro.product.device") == "GT-I9100" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "GT-I9100" || getprop("ro.product.board") == "GT-I9100" || getprop("ro.product.device") == "GT-I9100M" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "GT-I9100M" || getprop("ro.product.board") == "GT-I9100M" || getprop("ro.product.device") == "GT-I9100T" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "GT-I9100T" || getprop("ro.product.board") == "GT-I9100T"
E:Error in /sdcard/external_sd/cm_galaxys2_full-116.zip

Installation aborted.
So then I wiped everything, tried to install again. Still doesn't work. Then back to stock kernels. Only Difference: I am stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy SII GT-9100" without yellow Exclamation mark.
Then I discovered this theard + video and tried it. Still didn't work. I tried different stock Kernels, still doens't work.
I can still enter the Download Mode or Recovery Mode (not CWM, now stock) and power it on/off.
Now I'm also stuck.
Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance. Every help is appreciated!

Hi,
I just tried to install this rom on my i9100p (the one with NFC) but failed the initial test... looks like it can be installed only on plain 9100, 9100M and T but not P... why is that? i've read that apart from the NFC it's just the same (in fact i had no problem installing CWM and after that when the phone boots it says i9100)...
i tried to search for the piece of code that it show on the screen as an error, but unfortunately I couldn't find where it is... the error is:
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "galaxys2" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "galaxys2" || getprop("ro.product.device") == "i9100" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "i9100" || getprop("ro.product.device") == "i9100M" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "i9100M" || getprop("ro.product.device") == "i9100T" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "i9100T"
so it should be matter of adding a couple ORs and voila... or maybe is there a way to change my model name somewhere?
Mmm some info. here, maybe help http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465816

Hello to all!!! After a long time spent on this forum and on google searching solutions to my problem i didn't find anything yet. I have updated my SGA with Kies to ver.2.3.6 build XWKT7 and tried to root again failing.... some videos on youtube.com assure that i can root my phone with "upd_1.zip" package used also in 2.3.3/2.3.4/2.3.5 versions, result the following code:
Code:
Opening update package....
installing update...

Hi,
To install Cyanogenmod ROM in my SEXperia Neo, Install boot.img from cm-7.2.0-hallon.zip package and copy the same zip file to SDCard.
After rebooting i start it in bootable mod and does followings:
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Wipe Dalvik Cache
And then i select "install zip from sdcard" and choose "cm-7.2.0-hallon.zip".
But later i got following message.

I done some research but its doesn't work.
"I found the fix.
if you unzip the zip you downloaded
go into META-INF\com\google\android\
replace your updater-script with the updater-script found in updater-script.zip
RE- ZIP the folders (should have META-INF, system, and boot.img)
Open Recovery and flash should work"
And right now my phone is dead.
Please help me in this issue.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your time.
Dead means i can enter into fastboot mod and can install boot.img into it, but when i reboot it in recovery mod and try to install by selecting "install zip from sdcard" and choose "cm-7.2.0-hallon.zip", it gives intallation abort error.
And flashtool always asks for connecting NEO in USB debugging mode. But i can't do it because i dont have installed ROM in NEO.
Flash the stock ics rom again and after that flash cm7....it should work..or if you have a nandroid backup restore it
Sent from my MT11i using xda app-developers app
At least that is what i did when i ve got that error..and it worked

same here. installing over ICS 4.1.B.0.431
Working method:
Simply flash an official ROM (.ftf) with Flashtool in Flashmode mode;
Flash a correct Kernel (extract it from Cyanogen rom zip, boot.img usually) with Flashtool in Fastboot mode;
Enter recovery CMW;
Perform a full wipe factory reset, and cache wipe nextly;
Finish with applying custom ROM by CWM;
Done.
Guys, I really need to install a custom rom in my pocket neo duos, because installing the original device ROM, Odin accuses success but the device does not work right, cause it appears errors "The start Touchwiz stopped" and also other processes give warning So I can not even open any apps since the app tray icon does not work (black screen).
I have tried everything you can imagine, download several ROMs for the device: "cm-11-20141231-UNOFFICIAL-corsica.zip" (here from XDA), "POCKET NEO BRASIL neodex v3 by tiago nunes .zip" and "stock-deodex-v2- [email protected] ", CyanogenMod_12_Theus.zip and all present "status 7" error with the CWM version I was able to install, 6.0.3.6. One thing I saw in a Youtube tutorial was that I would have to edit an "updater" rom file by excluding the part of the initial check of it, but in the roms I have other files in the indicated folder, no "updater".
Another possible cause for the "status 7" error I encountered (throw internet researches) was that the most suitable version for the customization of this device would be CWM 6.0.4.9, however I am not able to update it even after installing CWM ROM Manager through a windows program Called "Mobogenie".
In short: I've researched a thousand websites, I've seen about 1000 video-tutorials, downloaded the most diverse files but I can not install a Custom ROM on this device. :crying:
I suspect that files for the S5310 and S5312 (without the "B" at the end) are not suitable for this device.
Thank you very much to all who can help, if possible posting all the necessary files and tutorials!
Greetings.
P.S.: The device is rooted correctly!
To resolve status 7 you must change a file within the rom.
First:
enter into rom with the file browser and extract the file "updater-script" in directory /META-INF/com/google/Android
Second:
Open the file with notepad++ and delete these lines:
assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "LT18i" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "LT18i" ||
getprop("ro.product.device") == "LT18a" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "LT18a" ||
getprop("ro.product.device") == "LT15i" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "LT15i" ||
getprop("ro.product.device") == "LT15a" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "LT15a" ||
getprop("ro.product.device") == "anzu" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "anzu");
In tour case this file will be different in the name of the product but delete these lines even so
I hope it helped you???
