hi guys
the one day i was using minicm7pro v21 with zp kernel
i switched to try flame.gdx ics did all the wipes but surprised that some of the apps still there and when i tried to update any i had to remove then reinstall
i switched to stornmix v2 and then the same apps where there and cant install anything from the market
i tried going back to stock kernel and then rom+kernel
i still cant , i went back to gdx v17 and now on gentonic.se 2.5.1 (the apps where always there) i tried delete them and the flash rom again i install sm apps , the same !!
i installed sm apps and then the same i cleared cache/dalvik cache i tried marketfix and the method here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16038744&postcount=13 (or smthn like it)
nothing works i always end up the same place , please please i need help
sm times i get " the package file is invalid " and others " insufficient storage available "
solution :
go to cwm recovery
in mounts and storage
i unmounted the sd card (u have to format it on ur pc then)
later i formated the sd and the sd-ext and the cache from the same menu (mounts and storage )

Boot into clockwork recovery.
go to backup and restore -create a backup of your current rom (Note:If already backup has been done then avoid this step, backup created using amonra or thunderg wont support restoring using clockwork)
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
wipe dalvik cache
mount and storage-format system
go to mount and storage-format sd card
advanced-partition sd card-choose 512 mb (preferable)or 1024 mb (it automatically creates ext 4 partition, class 6/4 is preferred)
mount and storage-mount usb storage (make sure usb debugging is enabled)
copy the rom zip file to the root of your sd card
unmount
install zip from sd card-choose the rom zip and install
flashing takes 3-5 min
reboot

This is where I am having problems. I was trying to flash openOptimus build 1.172.1 yesterday. I followed these instructions and looked over ciaox instructions and they were nearly identical.
Prior to yesterday I have RevOidOptT build with francos kernal 2.6.32.41.
I followed the instructions and booted into ClockworkMod Recovery. When I went to "select zip from SD card" nothing was there because I had wiped everything per the instruction. That makes sense to me since I had to "wipe data/factory reset". What am I doing wrong so I can flash over openOptimus??

'wipe data/factory reset' should wipe data present on the phone memory only. Not on the SD card. If the ROM is present on your SD card, then it should be available under the 'flash zip from SD card' menu.

Its cos you partitikned your sd card. It wipes it. Download onto a pc, mount usb under mounts and transfer over
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA Premium App
If you followed those instructions then you would have formatted the sd card as well? Hence the zip file was deleted. Go to mounts>mount usb storage, connect your phone to pc, then copy the zip again.

After hours of experimenting... finally... AD2SDX on XPERIA NEO
thanks nakchea for informing me about init.d support
thanks for adiktz for informing me about ext4 as requirement
and thanks to adridu59 for answering many of my questions
thanks for the developer of this mod
original thread by amarullz
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310309
and to ShyamSasi
as my basis that this will also work on or XPERIA NEO
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1333379
heres the port of this MOD for NEO.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Bootloader Unlocked
-Inteks Kernel
-Stock .42 rom of xperia NEO
-Root
-Busybox
-CWM
-sd card with 2 partition (for normal use of sd and the other one is EXT4)
-make sure u put this mod on your sd card after making 2 partition
-remove your sim card (ill xplain later why [Note1])
PART 1
ok heres what i did
I have my .42 rom, i installed root, busybox & cwm here.
I reboot my phone to CWM recovery
clear/format data, cache, sd-ext
Then i make a Backup of rom (its a fresh rom now cuz u format data, cache, sd-ext)
Then i format system after backup (so everything is clear now - system, data, cache, sd-ext)
PART 2
Then restore/flash your rom again using CWM.
After restore dont exit CWM without flashing this mod. (You should flash your clean rom and this mod on the cmw recovery at the same time)
PART 3
then boot.
first boot will bootloop 4-7 times then it will boot normaly. [Note1]
restart phone. it will bootloop again 4-7 times.
then look at your appmanager.
you'll see its working...
you can now insert your sim
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Note1] ok heres why we need to remove sim card
At the moment after normal booting
"WITH" sim card - boots into this (look at first picture below) without no progress, you will stuck in here.
To prevent this we must remove sim
"WITHOUT" sim this will happen again but only for 3-5 minutes then it will bring you to your homescreen
after 2 sucessive boot, you can now insert your sim and everyting is normal now with this mod
look at the second picture for the result...

Ok I have a problem here, I tried to format everything again via cmw and im trying do it again for verification that this is realy working.
But why it bootloops again continuosly, abt half an hr waiting but it bootloops only. thats the question I wil try to find out. Am I just lucky to do that Yesterday night? Or theres a bug? Or I just did somting wrong now I tried it again? This project is not yet perfect but everyone can try. Post here your xperience using this mod. If sumone can make it work again, please share things on how u did it. Thanks.
To protocol11, just found some info that for this to work, u need a kernel dat suport init.d and ext4.
Lin2SD is more easier
Link2sd links only apk and dalvik. But with dis mod the data partition can be moved at sd card. Look at the 2nd pic of my post, dont u want to have that storage? U can resize dat dpending on how much partition u made on ext4.
I have only got this to work a few times also / more times ending up with strange results
Sent from my MT15i using xda premium
this script was not stable that's why i settled with link2sd
ok thanks to your comments, so its not only me xperiencing this effects. ok i'll try to find out some solution for dis to work on just a first try.
Does it bootloop everytime we restart phone or just first few times?
apps in internal memory is much stable and battery saved than in card. so no need to move all data to card, especially data in /data/data . move apk and dalvik is enough
Flash neo v ftf excluding kernel.. That will increase internal memory
What's the problem with link2sd?
It's much better.
Sent from my MT11i using xda app-developers app
what about internal 400mb partition...
You could try to root the device and make the complete installation in that SD card or limit u r memory space and also try making a separate partition .....

Hiii ppl
all right rom miracle v3
Connected phone to pc and ran the error checking of sd card in properties.. The process completed and then I booted into my phone the problem is that I think my phone memory is half viped of something all the phone memory apps are coming as skeletons... Like they are there but as skeletons their icon is not there and also showing weird memory consumptions so I uninstalled all of them
+ my partition seems to have vanished too cuz my phone memory became full even though rest of the apps are on sd card and s2e application does not open it just force closes
So right now I am on the most imp apps to save memory
I had partitioned my sd card using cwm
Pls help me what went wrong
In the image it shows that memory card is partitioned then why such a hassle

yes the thing that you say about skeletons is correct it has happened with me also once but i fixed by reflashing the rom btw wipe everything and even format everything it should work
i used miracle v3 for 2 weeks without any lags and no problem the problem you are mentioning happened with me when sometimes i rebooted and my phone went into safe mode and some of the apps werent showing but when i try to install them it tell that you are replacing an already existing app this was the first time and 2nd time when i installed phoenix launcher. it has to be a system app so i think it malfunctioned .Id just say reflsh the rom itll fix it or try using any other rom
agree,I reflash miracle v3 and restart twice,no more problem
Reflash would solve it but it's too much hassle
The partition shows in the image but I can't open a single app2sd app like darktremor and s2e they both force close
Pls help me figure that out
Everything works fine now multiple reboots and wipe cache solved it but not the partition problem
Any idea with that?
What should I do to make it work again

right now i can only think of backing up your memory card on your pc and then formatting your memory card and again partitioning it
you may ask others also !! all the best !!
Hmmm thanks a lot
Will do this
But do you know what error I did here?
I want to know so that I may not do it again in the future
Thanks again

Go to CWM > advanced > partition SD card and select ext & swap sizes (I did 1024M & 0M), but you can chose what you want (also make sure to wipe Dalvik cache).

1. yes you can, it's an universal CM9 script and don't worry about version or your CM9
2. no, it's will not formating your external SDCard! it's only swapping your internal with SDCard
3. automatically.
4. it's will be inverted on explorer... so, your Internal Storage will be read on 16 GB and SDCard will be read on 4 GB
5. no, it moved to /sdcard!

Since we are moving vold.fstab to system/etc can't we just follow these steps below?
1.Make backup of original vold.fstab. Using root explorer or es file explorer make a copy of the vold.fstab in some other place and rename it to something else.
2.copy the modded vold.fstab (modded by itachilinux) to system/etc and set right permissions.
3.reboot phone
will try, on fxp216.
:fingers crossed:
Is this script working?
