[Q] [solved]Does anyone know where/how to do the pulldown widgets? - Motorola Droid X2

I've tried UOT Kitchen and couldn't figure out how to do it. Would it be possible to pull this from a rom and apply it?
btw, i'm stock 2.3.4 deodexed and zipaligned, also, i'm rooted and have BSR.
thanks for your help in this quest.

Hi ive searched all forum and i hope im not being repetitive... is there a way to come back to stock 1.8.3 from gingerblur without flashing with rsdlite? i already hardbricked one atrix so im afraid of the rsdlite tool :S
I just want to remove gingerblur and come back to motoblur
If you're on ginger blur the pseudo rom then the back to stock zip in the themes and. Apps section will do if u are on gingerbread the zip rsd will be fine if u are on ota gingerbread then follow the pudding guide

I want to update to the newest update of eclipse and I am running the remix so the old version of gingerbread. Can I just flash to the new eclipse? Or do I have to flash a rooted 2.3.4 then flash the new eclipse?
If so where is a rooted 2.3.4?

use RSD Lite to sbf to 2.3.4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1284679 then root it with motorola one click root http://www.psouza4.com/Bionic/ Then download and install bootstrap for x2. Get eclipse 1.0 and 1.1 and install both on the SD card, use bootstrap and just flash 1.0 and 1.1. Wipe first and i also think you need to do a factory reset.
^^^^ what he said^^^^^
Do you need to factory reset or clear cache and dalvick when you flash the patch?

i would clear catch and dalvick. Im not to sure about factory reset but i would do it incase.
Wipe data and cache, then flash 1.0. Then flash the patch immediately after that. Shouldn't be any need to wipe twice. Worked fine for me anyway.
what camera does eclipse 1.1 use?
Camera is eclipse 1.1 using? Is it the blur 2.3.3 or is it still using the MIUI camera? Thinking about flashing tonight.

Thanks for the answer. I am still trying to figure out how to push the blur camera and gallery from my Tit backup. I figured out how to change permissions but still need to figure out how to open the zip files.

Nitro removed alot of blur framework so it may not work when you get it installed. Blur crap is dependant on other blur crap, so any time nitro removes some blur, he removes the other crap that makes it work. Good luck.

DX2 Eclipse 1.0
Battery draining fast eclipse 1.1
I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I charged my phone all night before flashing 2.3.4 this morning. I cleared everything including battery stats. I loaded eclips 1.0 and 1.1 and once I was on eclipse I even calibrated my battery. I had it on the charger all morning while flashing and loading up apps. I did not calibrate battery until after it was on %100 for a long time. Calibrated and unplugged. Now I have noticed with light usage with some music and web and I dropped to %80 in 40 minutes. Does this sound right? Seemed like the battery life was better when I was on the rooted stock rom. I also noticed this when I tried .8.1 on 2.3.3. Any ideas for a noob? Thanks!

Joker's test kernels, I need guidance!!

I've been searching through his thread and it seems everyone is trying the kernels for cm7. The ones labeled Blur oc, are they for the stock rom? I'm running Moto Electrify rooted and unlocked with custom recovery install by romracer. I also have the stock sbf file. I would like to help with testing kernels and roms especially since there doesn't seem to be a lot of people here using Electrify. I'm kinda new to all of this, but I learn quickly. I've made a back-up of my phone, but I don't know how to go back to stock kernel after flashing a new one. Do I have to do a complete restore from back-up or is there a simpler option? Does the stock sbf file have the stock kernel in it? Any and all help is greatly appreciated

There you go homie
Thank you for the link and response. I have the stock sbf file, but I was wondering if jokers blur oc kernel was for stock rom. I was going to try one of those.

[Q] Stock ICS 6.16.211 Deodexed?

I just got my RAZR on Wednesday, and I absolutely love it! Is there any rom out there that's just the stock rom deodexed, with the 1% battery mod? Thanks!

I think you'll find the 211, too. Just search for it @ DroidRzR. I'm to lazy right now

Thanks for the reply. I did install the latest of Eclipse, and so far so good. I'm a little leery of heavily moded roms after my experience on the Incredible 2. No matter what I installed, unless it was CM7 or a stock-based rom, I had nothing but problems, so I'm trying to stay as stock as possible.
Thanks again!

New to Rooting Questions

I just rooted my DX2, i intended to use rom manager to flash/backup my roms but that was not working. So i downloaded bootstrap (the little green arrow icon) and used that to make a backup of my stock system and then used titanium backup to backup all my apps.
What i wanted to know is when i finally install a new rom and do a data wipe how do i recover everything if it starts me with a clean phone? do i just reinstall titanium and bootstrap and will SU still be installed?
Also can you point me to a good guide on installing CM9 to my DX2?
Thank you,
Jake
A couple of things. What system version are you on? 2.3.4 or 2.3.5? Also Rom Manager doesnt work for us (as you know now.) Are you using the BSR from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318083 ?
When you install a ROM yes you reinstall the BSR (but if you are going on CM7-9-10 then you need the CM7 patched BSR once on the ROM.) and then Redownload Titanium Backup. All your backups are stored on your external card so a wipe doesnt get rid of them. Once titanium is loaded back up it will find them.
A rom comes rooted so SU and everything is part of the package. Install instructions for ROMS are on the original page of the ROMS. Just note that if you are on 2.3.5 the only ROM that will work for you is Eclipse. All the other ROMs are 2.3.4 based.

I am on 2.3.5, is eclipse a good rom?
Thanks,
Jake
Eclipse is a very stable and clean ROM. I used it for a long time. CM7 is also stable and a.lot.more customizable but you will need to SBF to 2.3.4 to get on it. Both eclipse and CM7 are gingerbread roms. Cm9, MIUI, AOKP Paranoid Android are ICS and CM10 is jellybean.

Thanks for recommending Eclipse, its a really awesome ROM. At some point i plan to SBF to 2.3.4 for CM10, but for now Eclipse is better than stock.
Thank you,
Jake

Eclipse is rock solid. CM10 will get more stable eventually.
