Multimedia menu: Changed RTSP proxy address to 0.0.0.0 and port to 0, did the same with HTTP-PD address and port. Changed Buffer length to 20.
EVDO: Make sure DDTM is set to Off.
Went from struggling to hit 4 Mbps to constant 8 - 11Mbps. I hope this works for the other Photon users here, let me know how it goes!

All I did was remove the proxy. Regardless, I still get up to 9-10Mbps on 4G in Wichita Falls, TX. Oh, and my phone is stock, but rooted.
15 in ft worth but not constant usually tops at 9

I don't know why mine were so slow here in Richardson, you gents are both getting amazing speeds. I pared down the Sprint fluff as much as I could but still couldn't break 5 until performing the tweaks. I wonder if that sysctl.conf file would give you guys any increase?
Mine is stock and rooted too. I was thinking about unlocking the bootloader to see of I could get 3G to an acceptable level after the tweaks....

3G is a lost cause until Sprint finishes upgrading the backhaul network and adding more channels to the towers. I rarely get over 1Mbps on 3G, usually under 256Kbps.
Ive been getting 1 - 1.6 at night and 400 - 900 during day....but yeah till the upgrades done its gonna stay sucking.

I can get 1-1.3Mbps outside, but in my house, its a range of around 20-128Kbps (I have metal siding on the house, and the house was built in 1940)
Its ok not great but yeah that metal is probably your speed killer

I changed my Data and Multimedia settings, but I cannot test this out until I go into town. Does this affect the battery life in anyway? And is this only for 4G?

I couldn't get the ##3282# menu to work because everytime i ckicked to edit something it asked for a password.. any ideas? Would love. To do this

That password is your MSL. Talk (or chat online) with sprint and get the MSL.
I am not sure if it was an auto push or a reboot reset the changes I made to the data profile section..?
Both the primary ha IP and secondary IP were reset to previous settings..
to bad i already unlocked ... this tweak might have made 4g surpass 3g in my area ( way to much wimax equipment out here to get any decent speeds )
Just ran the v6 supercharger script now getting 13mbps on 4g with a 85 ping used to get 8-9mbps with 100-110 ping.

So here is my story, about 3 weeks ago I bought a touch pro off of ebay, that was for "pageplus"... well it turns out it was actually a sprint phone that had been flashed to pageplus. It worked for voice and text, but no data. The seller gave me a partial refund, and I figured I could get it to work. Anyway 3 weeks later I have it unlocked with Mightyrom 6 running and everything is great, except for some intermittent keyboard issues. I figure why not a hard reboot, see if its something that I had installed.Thats where everything when down hill. When It finished booting, it had jumped carriers to Verizon. If i tried to call with it all I got was verizons customer service. I've spent the last 6 hours trying to get this thing to work. My on going struggle can be read over at Howardsforum

wahahahahhaha, she's alive, SHE IS ALIVE ... my phone finally works again, that was a rough 24 hours... the thing that I entered wrong was the MSID... who knew that phones had two phone numbers. Thanks to Ebay seller Kittywireless for their help. They didn't make a dime from me, and helped me find the answer.... One bonus of all this BS is it forced me to learn a lot of stuff about my phone, and now the Data is working

I received my Atrix 2 days ago, and I like it a lot, but I have one major issue. I live in Belgium (Mobistar), and imported the phone from the US (AT&T). It was sim-unlocked using a code I bought online. Incoming calls, data (3G, H+), wireless work fine, but when I try to make an outgoing call, the phone just reboots
This is with a fully stock (1.2.6), non-rooted Atrix, default set to use GSM/CDMA auto (PRL). I've found out that I can use the *#*#4636#*#* menu to force the data-connection to use EDGE (GSM only). When I do this, everything works fine, including outgoing calls, I just don't have 3G
I've checked with logcat what happens when I try an outgoing call + 3G, and I see these errors:

I've tried reflashing 1.2.6 from the leaked SBF (after doing a restore to factory settings), but this did not result in any different behaviour. I then tried to upgrade to 1.5.7 using the official Moto upgrade procedure, but again, same issue on the outgoing calls.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could debug/fix this? One test I intend to do is using a different operator's SIM, to determine if its related to Mobistar's UMTS implementation, or if its a generic problem with my phone. I was also suggested to do a "fastboot erase kpanic", but as I'm unsure what the kpanic partition is for, and whether or not it's safe to erase it, I have not tried it.
I can use the phone on EDGE for now, but I hope this issue can be solved, so I can enjoy my Atrix to the full extent!

Just tried using a different operator's sim (Mobile Vikings):
the phone does not reboot/crash on outgoing calls, and they work correctly. I did notice that it cuts the 3G connection during the call, and restores it after call completes. That shouldn't be necessary I think, but it's still far more desirable behavior than what I'm seeing with Mobistar!
My company pays for & decides the operator though, so this is not something I can easily switch..

tried playing a bit with the ril.modem.mode and the the ril.hsxpa settings, but did not find anything useful.
Also made a motorola support ticket, got the expected bs response:
"I do apologize but the Motorola ATRIX from AT&T is not completely compatible with the data connection of other Service Providers. The ATRIX is configured to work with AT&T's data network only. That is why it is not available for sale outside the United States. I'm so sorry for that inconvenience."
I guess I'm stuck on 2G until more people start to have this problem, or until a new radio firmware is released

Excerpt from the man-page:
Arpwatch keeps track for ethernet/ip address pairings. It syslogs activity and reports certain changes via email. Arpwatch uses pcap(3) to listen for arp packets on a local ethernet interface.
I get an email for every new ip address that is seen by arpwatch.
Emails looking like this:

The problem arises after I conneted my android phone to our wifi network. Because there's no DHCP-Server I had to set a static ip for my android phone. I noticed after I connected my android phone to our wifi network, sometimes I get an email from arpwatch, telling me detection of a new ip address with MAC address of the android phone. The detected ip address was not part of our ip address range and was not the ip address I had set. I ignored this issue a long time. But since some other kollegues also using the wifi network with their android phones the number of email alerts increases dramatically.
I've seen this happen with different devices and also different android OS.

Interesting and excellent research. We have been tracking Android arp issues at work lately, and it seems the phones are replying to arp requests for our network/vlan gateways. Check out this bug report:

Will be getting a Verizon Note 2 soon. Looks like 3G/4G could be enabled on ATT/TMO (where 1900 available), but not LTE yet because Verizon uses band 13 while ATT/TMO uses band 17.
So is the band thing fixed due to hardware capability (chipset type), or it's still at firmware (software) level? Is there any way to change band 13 to band 17?
It was said that TMO Note 2 is the most flexible version, but now since ATT Note 2 can get LTE on both as well and it's usually cheaper than TMO Note 2, in GSM Note 2 versions maybe ATT is better now?
If Verizon Note 2 can use ATT/TMO LTE, then it will become the King of the three. Anyone has any idea?

I have a VZW SCH-i605 Note II.
I recently switched to an AT&T GoPhone plan when they changed them last week. I get about 4 meg down and 1-1.5 meg up in H+ areas and about 2.5 meg down and 700kbs up in H areas.
3G will be showing when you are not using data. (standby to save battery)
H will show up once you start an app that uses data. (HSDPA) (3G)
H+ will show up when you are in an area that supports it. (HSPA+) (3.5G)
I do not have AT&T LTE in my area, but the rep told me that I 99% will not be able to use it due to hardware differences. (1% chance that the hardware does support it and someone releases a modem that has access to to band 13)
Better than anything VZW 3G could do as I live in an area that does not have VZW LTE yet and according to the CS rep, never will.

I recently switched to an AT&T GoPhone plan when they changed them last week. I get about 4 meg down and 1-1.5 meg up in H+ areas and about 2.5 meg down and 700kbs up in H areas.
3G will be showing when you are not using data. (standby to save battery)
H will show up once you start an app that uses data. (HSDPA) (3G)
H+ will show up when you are in an area that supports it. (HSPA+) (3.5G)
I do not have AT&T LTE in my area, but the rep told me that I 99% will not be able to use it due to hardware differences. (1% chance that the hardware does support it and someone releases a modem that has access to to band 13)
Better than anything VZW 3G could do as I live in an area that does not have VZW LTE yet and according to the CS rep, never will.

I've been wondering about this myself, I've seen quite a few threads without definitive answers on how well the service is. Thank you, I'm going to save this for any future people who ask the same question.
Also what did you do to get AT&T service? Did you modify the APNs?

I went to a retail AT&T store to get my sim card with service so it was free and to quickly port my numbers (2 lines).
The guy there added in the APN info from a SGS4. I added in some other APNs also and am currently testing them. I will list them below, if I don't mention it, leave it blank.
From the S4
Name = AT&T TEST 6

The one from the S4 and the default AT&T ones both work about the same as far as everything is working and both get the same speeds with data.
The cingular APN works flawlessly for everything I tested it on but speeds were about 50% slower for data.

I switched to AT&T and my data and text messaging worked, but my MMS didn't. I tried a lot of APNs until I finally found one that worked. I edited the fields to show the settings from my apn page exactly. Simply changing the APN to pta did the trick for me.

I've recently noticed that, in India, for Android phones with Tata Docomo, The internet goes on and off. They have a very awkward service. Well, I've found a fix for that. What I did was open up the Access Point Names from Settings and kept staring at it for half an hour. Then suddenly, the access point switched automatically to Tata Docomo Dive-In. The solution is pretty simple, it's layed out here in neat little steps:
Step I: Go to the Play Store and Download an app called APN Global(Don't worry, you can uninstall it after using)
Step II: Open the app and choose Delete APN and Select Delete all APNs
Step III: Go to Access Point Names in Settings and Add a new APN, the config is as follows:
Name = TATA DOCOMO INTERNET
APN = TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET
For 3G:
Name = TATA DOCOMO INTERNEThvc
APN = TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNEThvc
----------------------------------------Common Settings for 2G and 3G--------------------------------------
Authentication Type = None
APN Type = internet
Every state has a different MNC Code, here's a list:47 West Bengal
