[Q] Audio problems - Xperia Pro MK16i - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hello all.
I recently bought a Xperia Pro (mk16i) on sony ericsson website, and the phone is ve-ry great, no lag, just great. Therefore, I have a problem :
- the speaker is very bad, I had an Xperia X10 mini pro, and when i play a same music in the same time (without ear phone), I find that the quality of audio speaker of x10 mini pro is pretty much better than my xperia pro. But it is not the main problem
- Main problem : When I listen to music with my earphones, and when playing, if i receive an SMS, the sound of music becomes very degraded (because of notification sound) for 4-5 seconds, and after it becomes normal. Even if I don't play music, the notification sound is very bad and noising (not when I play it (the notification sound) in Setting--> Sound, but when it's playing when a notification arrives). I don't know what is problem, I hadn't it with my xperia x10 pro with same music, I don't understand.
For thoses who have Xperia Pro, please tell me if you have this problem too : try playing music, send a SMS to yoursel for example, and when sms arrives, look if the notification sound does not degrade the audio quality of the music (and sometimes, the notification sound has also noise )
Please help me to solve this problem, should I update my phone ? I seem to have the latest software.
Specs :
- Build number : 4.0.2.A.0.58
- Model : MK16i
Android version: 2.3.4
Kernel: 2.6.32.9-perf [email protected] #1
xLoud (dis)(en)able does'nt solve my problem.
Many Thanks for your answer.

Hi, sorry for this off topic question. My brother has the same phone as you with the same software and he is not able to connect to Argentina's 3G network.
Do you get 3G service? Who is your provider and what frequencies do they use?
Thanks in advance
Axel

My 3g network works great, I am in France, and my network provider is Bouygues Telecom.
verify that you have enabled 3g connexion : menu settings, wireless and networks, mobile networks, network mode, and then choose the last, wcdma preffered

Xperia X10 MW600 problem.

Xperia X10 have been using.
Phone "Accessories" section,
I bought the Hi-Fi Wireless Headphone FM Radio MW600.
Although this product is compatible with phone accessories;
-The phone does not show the caller's id.
-The phone does not show the name of the music id.
- FM Radio MW600 Hi-fi, wireless headphones connected to my phone,
Incoming call ring tone is playing faster than normal.
This reason, my phone ring tone is playing very bad.
I am waiting for help in an emergency.
What phone do you Pair with MW600..?
Is MW600 already pair correctly as Media & Phone Headset in your phone..?
Try This Step...Reset your MW600 (Turn OFF MW600 - Holddown Power Button "until pairing indicator appear" - "Press & Hold" Both "Power & Call Button" until MW600 Turn OFF)..then Try to Re-Pairing your MW600 with the phone (Set Phone Bluetooth to "Visible").
* MW600 seem Doesn't Show the Caller ID..but it Show Only a Phone Number.
* In Several/Most Phone Type like I've Try with Xperia X10, AINO U10, Samsung Galaxy Spica & Samsung U900 (SouL)..MW600 Will Not Display Track or Music ID..It only Displaying a "WronG Time/Clock" (Paired with Samsung Device)..Don't ask Me Why..
* The Radio should be Work Seperately with a Bluetooth..when Radio beeing Use..Bluetooth will Disconnect with the Phone as "Media Headset" but It Still Pair as "Calling Headset" (We Still able to Receive Call).
* There Should be NO PROBLEM with a Phone RingTone..?!?
Hii Shadows
you say, I did it,
case, no change.
Thank's
Hello ,
for the caller's id,music id it an android issue ,i tried my mw600 with a cheap sony ericsson, and all works well ,but on x10 no :/ hum .
for the issue with the fast ringtone i have it too,and this since the official 2.3.3 update =S ,with 2.1 and 1.6 no probleme, also i have another problem some times when i listen music, then i have an incoming call ,if i answer,it works well, but sometimes when i hang off ,the mw600 stay freezed and displays like an incoming call all the time, the only solution is to turn it off the on again ,i think sony ericsson messed with the bluetooth in 2.3.3 .
by the way sorry for my bad English
Other than the commonly known issues of only displaying phone numbers and no TrackID, I've had no difficulty with my MW600 on my x10 under Wolf's or FeraLab's ROMs (Both based on 2.3.4).
One issue I HAVE had is that I can't be sure which media app is going to steal the focus of the Play/Pause, FF/RW buttons on the device. If I run TuneIn Radio or the Stock Media app, I can't control the Walkman app (my preference) until I reboot the phone. Hopefully I can find a solution to this one. Terribly annoying.

Xperia Ray not compatible .... WHY?

1.The problem
Owned a C902-I changed, bought Xperia Ray. In the car Sony HCB 400 handsfree installed. It worked with the old mobile and not working with the new. The main problem is that I cant record my voice commands VoiceSpeedDial-no default possibility for voice dialing in the NEW Sony mobiles why? - HCB doesnt send my command via bluetooth, mobile has to "hear" it and its microphone too sensitive. HCBfirmware? Bluetotth version? ROM? Please help.
2. My mail to Cyberon
Dear Cyberon,
it's a very good app, Ithink the only what works as the usual ones on older phones.
One question (and problem), because I can't use it till this problem exists.
1. If I record a voice dial command for a phone book entry this app uses my phone's microphone instead of my handsfree kit's microphone (as the old phones).
2. If I initialize a voice calling with the handsfree's button (connected bluetooth certainly) my phone has to 'hear' the command instead of my handsfree's microphone (usual at the old one(s)).
I tried it with other phone (and other program), with my old phone (with the default possibility built in the older phones) and it worked, the handsfree's microphone sent my voice command to the phone and that is called for me who I wanted.
My new phone can't hear my voice command via bluetooth connected handsfree's microphone.
Is this possible to say in your program that if a handsfree connected your program has to use that microphone instead of the phones one?
I would like to try a beta version, think it would be great for other Sony users as well.
(Other question: with the new android (at the end of March) your app will work same as now or conceivable that will work fine?)
(old phone is Sony C902, new one is a Xperia Ray, the handsfree is a Sony HCB 400, bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, EDR, the app is Voice Speed Dial (most similar to the old (default) program (I like it for this reason, it's language independent)).
best regards
3. An answer from the cyberon
Thanks for your inquiry!
Regarding to your questions, Voice Speed Dial did support the handsfree function, however, we found out that the ROM which built by Sony Ericsson had been changed, the audio driver in Sony Ericsson's phone could not switch to the right audio path that Voice Speed Dial uses, and Voice Speed Dial just follows the official Android system to work on Android phones, since Sony Ericsson did not follow the official Android system to develop their ROM, we may not able to change the system at this moment, hope Sony Ericsson would fix the issue in the future.
This is my problem. Can anybody help?
(sorry for my bad English)
try cyanogen rom

Apologies in advance if I have misunderstood your situation. Maybe my satisfactory result represents some difference between the "Headset" & "Handsfree" profiles.
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray (Android 2.3.4) and a BlueAnt Q2 Bluetooth headset. The phone's bluetooth settings indicate that the BlueAnt Q2 is connected to both "phone" & "media" audio. I have Cyberon's Voice Speed Dial installed.
When I said "Phone Commands" to the BlueAnt Q2, the phone opened the default Android Voice Dialer whereas I wanted it to open the Cyberon Voice Speed Dial.
On the phone I went to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Voice Dialer and selected "Clear defaults".
The next time I said "Phone Commands" to the BlueAnt Q2, the phone offered to open "Voice Dialer" or "Voice Speed Dial". I selected (Cyberon's) "Voice Speed Dial" as the default.

[Q] Where is the Audio, HSP Profile in Bluetooth????

Okay here is my phone specifications
Galaxy S2 GT-I9100
Android version 4.0.3
Baseband version I9100XXLPW
Kernel Version 3.0.15-I9100XWLPD-CL524746 [email protected] #3
Bulid number IML74K.XXLPD
ROM Version CriskeloServanTEAM ICS V10
THEME version Theme ICS
Now I might come across as a bit thick here but my problem is with the Bluetooth, when I pair any Bluetooth headset to the phone only the phone profile shows up, this allows the phone to communicate with the headset allowing calls to be received via the headset. On some headsets the ringtone also routes through the headset, on others an audible bleep is sounded on incoming calls. My question is, why isn't there the HSP (hands free profile) this profile allows other media sounds such as notification, email and messaging alerts to be routed through any paired Bluetooth devices. I have trawled through this site and various other sites for an answer but so far I have drawn a blank. There are a couple of apps available but one of these which is very capable is very battery hungry, the other which is a paid for app does not quite live up to the hype. I would appreciate any advice, information.
Same Problem
Even I am facing the same problem

[Q] Anyone ever successfully used VOIP on Xperia Sola ? (or P, U)

Hello there,
Whenever I try to use Voip (android build in or external app) with turned on Noise suppression, I can only be heard if I talk into the back of the phone where the secondary microphone is located. It works though, even if not great, if I turn off the Noise supression future.
Is my sola broken or is that a general Issue?
Anyone here ever tried VOIP , gtalk with voice or skype on the sola or a similar model?
thanks for your comments

Xperia mini pro (u20i): Can't hear other person

Hi all,
Since yesterday my phone no longer lets me hear the other speaker. They hear me, but that's it.
All other services are working fine (data, SMS, ...)
When I use a headphone it's working fine, same when using the external speaker but the ear piece in the screen produces nothing.
I thought it was due to a software failure , so I reverted back to the original ROM from SE (2.1), but the problem remains.
Oh, it's not the in-call sound, I checked and it is at maximum volume.
Anyone know if there is on-board system diagnostics which can detect hardware failure ?
Anyone else experienced the same problem and found a solution ? Been looking but so far nothing.
Currently back at MiniCM7Pro V21 Rom.
Thanks for any feedback
Please head over to your device forum (u20i, xperia x10 mini). Here you are in the xperia mini pro sk17 forum
Sent from my Nexus 4 running Android 4.3
Sounds like you already did all the diagnostics you need. It's not the software, because on the handsfree speaker and headphones the calls just work fine, and on different ROMS too, so it must be the internal earspeaker.
