I promised I will never order from Amazon again after they messed up my Asus Prime order! However, I had to jump on this deal !! The original price for the case is $20 something dollars on the sellers website but I think there might be a glitch in their system because they have the same case on Amazon for $11.95!

I noticed the case was for pre-order so I contacted the seller and asked if there is anyway I can get this case sooner. They were very professional and told me the case is in the final stages of production and should be released next week. After chatting some more and some butt kissing they gave me another coupon code for $3.00 off! The case comes out to around $11.90 shipped which I thought was an amazing STEAL!

don't mean to be a party pooper...I had the same case for my og xoom. It is quite thickening and the propping up mechanism is less han stellar. I would save your money for something else.
I jumped in it too.. had on for my xoom and while it does add bulk.. it also adds protection and for 11 bucks, how can you go wrong

I could care less about the bulk.I had the motorola folio case for my xoom.I accidentally dropped my xoom while it was in the folio case on to the concrete upon getting out the car.I was certain the screen was cracked into pieces.But the folio case took most of the impact & saved my xoom.Imagine something like that happening to you $500+ Prime....Get the case.You can always take it out when you want to show it off.

There are very nice cases from Zenus ( http://www.zenuscase.net/gallaxy-tab/galaxy-tab2.html ) and I am thinking of getting one when my Transformer Prime arrives, however these are for the Galaxy 10.1.
Since the dimensions are similar I was wondering if anyone knows if these cases will fit.

Damn those zenus cases look nice.. Too bad there's nothing for my t989 gs2 or transformer prime... I really wish there were more high end cases with nicer materials, design, and stitching. If only android tabs had choices of cases like the ipad does
I ordered a Mac Case vertical sleeve for the ipad2 as the size should be compatible according to the manufacturer.
I hope I'll know early next week.

I would not think a iPad case is compatible with the asus transformer prime as the device dimensions are different.
The reson i asked about the zenus cases for the samsung galaxy tab "10.1" is because the general form factor is close (with slight differences in width).

one of my friends has a CaseCrown portfolio case for his Xoom (called the "Standby" i think) and it is awesome. fits snugly with access to all ports and even has a magnetic clip to secure the flap to the case itself. it has a built in stand as well. here it is on amazon http://www.amazon.com/CaseCrown-Standby-Motorola-Model-Black/dp/B004WKT2DU
i love this case so much that i was hoping for a Transformer case to come out, so i emailed customer support at CaseCrown and this is the reply i got:
"We appreciate your interest in CaseCrown
We are currently discussing the Asus EEE Pad Transformer, so it is a possibility!
We can email you a notification if they will be available, however it will not be expected for at least 1-2 months
Otherwise, we can offer a few suggestions on generic sleeves or cases that will fit if you are interested."
i asked for alternatives and if they propose anything different than what's on the "compatible cases" thread i'll post them there. just wanted to let you all know.
They should definitely look into it, considering it's generating more hype than the Xoom.

the casecrown cases really are fantastic so it may be worth the wait unless someone else comes out with one thats just as good. i know that the "FolioGuard" case shown in this forum is the one to beat right now, but the biggest caveat there is that it doesnt have the low profile stand ability. so basically i cant put it on my desk and have the low slant angle for typing
Yeah, I can see that being a problem for some.. The FolioGuard guys read these forums with interest though, so I'll wager that the feedback has been received and taken on board
Personally, because I use Thumb Keyboard extensively when using the tablet on its own (in "split mode") - that with a low profile typing position would actually feel "sub-optimal" for me as its best used when gripping the tablet and tapping away with your thumbs
..and then there's always the dock for the real typing shenannigans...
(If only Asus could've licensed the Transformer's transforming noise whenever you docked it... geek-tastic.. *sigh*)

But someone has already emailed casecrown saying the TF101 case will be out in a few weeks within June to order. Hopefully within under the $20 mark.
This case looks great and it doesn't appear to be too thick like a lot of other cases too.
Hopefully it lives up to expectations as I'm getting tired of keeping my transformer inside due to not having a case.
I just bought a casecrown sleeve that I like quite a bit (other than the turqouise meshy crap on the inside that is a tad too rough to make me feel like it won't scratch my screen!)
Either way if they made a case like that which turned into a stand, I'd definitely purchase it Here's to hopin'!

Damn, I'm tempted to get this. I've been wanting a good case and I already have a carrying case by case crown. But Roocase's case seems like a better option because its multi angle.
Ill probably pull the trigger on this sometime this week. I just want the thinnest stand case possible. The multi angle is less important to me than being thin and light. Most of the others are bulky and if I wanted something an inch thick that protects the screen I could just just carry the keyboard dock.
The pics on Amazon of the CaseCrown look identical to the case (Jazz) I bought from Steve over at electroniccrap.com..

The flap on the back and the way it tucks, along with the viewing angle and case material seem quite comparable...
I'm happy with the Jazz...fit is good and material is decent, especially given the price point....is rather difficult to type at the given angle...I think I would prefer something with multiple viewing/typing angles and a little better quality material...but again, for the price paid it is a good option...I'm betting the CaseCrown will give similar results...
Ryan...should give you the thin, light case you are looking for...that was my main need and am satisfied from that standpoint...

I'm getting tired of not being able to bring my transformer out due to not having any protection. Stingray, you're making me want this case even more so I hope I'm not disappointed after I order it.
Actually now that I look at it the pictures, it seems like the jazz might even be thinner than the casecrown? It's hard to tell but maybe I'm just seeing things?

Finally a case built specifically for the transformer that looks decent! Definitely looking to get this. Can anyone confirm whether or not the tablet docks correctly WITH THE CASE ON?
None of them are built with the case accommodating the dock. It would pretty much require the entire bottom to be cut out.

TuffLuv will work with dock but is expensiveand the bottom is mostly cut out.

just thought i'd throw in my 2 cents here. i just bought 10 CaseCrown iPad2 standby cases for upper management at work and they are really nice cases. one of my friend had one and after messing with it, i liked it enough to recommend to the execs. as soon as the case came up on amazon for the TF i ordered one immediately.
i highly recommend CaseCrown.

Got an auto email Friday stating they will ship Jun 27th but got nothing so shouted email to them and they stated they did not have enough stock to meet the preorders, next stock they receive is no later than July 8th. I threatened to cancel so they are willing to discount $3 if I wait till then. I preordered Jun 15.
I am in Canada and don't know how these guys ship so I may get this case by August. HA, HA!

The dock compatibility has the downside of exposing the bottom to possible dust and impact. Only way I see a case supporting dock to be fully protective when undocked is if it had some kind of detachable bottom for when you need to actually dock, Probably would be good if it was held in by tiny pop-in buttons of sorts and with a as small a presence as possible so it doesn't cause any discomfort in holding the tablet.

I used the slim case from rooCase for my Samsung. I liked it a lot. I'm sort of waiting for it to be available for the Prime too. I tried using the one I have on the Prime, but the case is slightly too small...

Amazon has listings for slim cases from VERTEKS and VIPERTEK that look similar to that case for the prime.
misread the post....thought we were looking at the leather case...the slim cases don't look too bad at all!

This looks almost exactly like the Verteks case except that this has a cutout for the speaker. Hmmm... Didn't think about the cut out for the speaker. This might make me switch my order for the rooCase.
How exactly do those hinge / snap looking things (from the VERTEKS / VIPERTEK models) work for holding the tablet? Their hold on the device looks rather precarious

Didn't see the Moko one before, I would have bought that one instead probably based on price, it doesn't look like it has the speaker cut out. I ordered the rooCase on the 3rd, estimated to be sent out on 10th, however, today is the 11th, Amazon status still says Shipping Soon, so no idea how long it'll take.
ideally, i want something really thin, doesn't cover the Transformer look, and stands landscape and portrait mode in multi angles. i don't need protection, i need a case+stand.
the detachable inner sleeve means there are two layers on the case, sleeve, and the actual case. you can use the sleeve without case, which is kind of convinient.
I emailed as well (through amazon's "contact the seller" method), no reply yet. Mine also still says "shipping soon." I paid a lot for 2-day shipping, too, because I'd really like to take my prime to a conference I'm going to this weekend. Frustrating.

I am canceling my order, but I had to e-mail the seller a request to cancel instead of just being able to cancel like you're able to do with most orders. Seems a little fishy to me...

So do you recommend I order the Moko cheaper one? The Roocase though says available the Moko says 1/18. But if the speaker isn't cut out then I don't want it. I emailed the company to ask them I don't now what to do but i have to leave for work and my tablet just got here YAY!

just got an email reply saying my case went out today.
amazon status still shows "shipping soon"
Mine is still showing shipping soon, I sent two e-mail, no reply.
I got the "Shipped" email today and Amazon shows it as "Shipped" as well. Order placed Jan 4th
Alright my fellow Canadians, if there are any, if you have a Prime you're probably just as pissed as I am about the lack of anything for this tablet up here and even more so I'm pissed at Amazon for refusing to ship anything here. SO, if you see anything for the TP in/available to Canada, post it up here
pretty sure there aren't any sleeves for the prime yet at all. I went to staples and bought a generic netbook 10.1 inch sleeve from targus. Its a little fat for the prime but I figure it'll fit in there much better when my keyboard arrives (if ever)
Basically. Just take your prime to an electronics store and see which sleeve it fits in
I'm waiting for my Prime, but I've been lurking on this sie for a case too. I was hoping to get that roo-case listed here from Amazon. I haven't tried to order it from Amazon.com, but I did read that they will ship to Canada.
What is their reason not to ship to you?
I noticed a few of the cases would ship from amazon.com to Canada - sadly, not all, but there is some selection.
So far every one on Amazon has refused to ship up here :-( just says sorry can't ship to your address

I just checked again - all the rooCASEs and the MiniSuit one listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377669 ship to Canada sans problem (Toronto area at least). No dice for the Verteks, Moko, or Poetic ones.
Waiting to see what else shows up myself before just grabbing whats available, though.

I ordered this case off ebay. I dont even have the tablet yet but I wanted to be prepared.

I just got the case today and I must say, it is quite a nice case. It neoprene on the outside and suede on the inside with a pouch on the outside for storing cables and such as well as a small spot for a thumb drive.
If you are looking for a soft case with good padding I highly reccomend it.

Yup. Shows the $5 shipping earlier but changes to $24.99 shipping in cart. Not worth it IMO.

Hey guys, email them, you'll get it for next to nothing. Amazon has some stupid requirement that things have to arrive within like 5 - 10 days at max or something like that and the only way for them to meet that is to charge $25 expedited. If yoiu email them and say you're in Canada, the guy told me he'll ship it China Post but it won't be within to 5 -10 but I don't care.
Just email em direct, BCSstore or whatever, originally the guy said just order it, put a UK or China delivery address and tell him the order number with an address in CA and he'll change it. Try it out, I got mine with free shipping and expected delivery is like 10 - 15 I think. I asked the guy if others could email direct he said sure, only issue is availability of stock
On the other hand, wanted one of those matte HHI screen protectors, they sell a 3 pack for $12 and want $24 for shipping, emailed them, they basically told be to get bent
I use this one, got it at Bestbuy for about $9 too.
Not sure if it was the 9" or 10" version

It has 2 compartments and the larger one is divided in half where the back half fits the prime alone quite well. The front half would fit the prime attached to the dock or the dock separately. The smaller compartment has a mini pocket in it to hold an iPod or phone sized device with a space for headphones to travel up the strap and exit near your shoulder.
The only thing I didn't like (it isn't specific to this case) is that the USB charger wall wart has no place to go that is not a danger to the screen if the bag gets squished.

I just can't believe how hard it is to find a sleeve/case that fits a minimum requirements.
I'd love to get the Moko, Verteks, Roocase, Vipertek, Blurex slim sleeves (the one at multi-angle, portrait only mode) as they all seem to have the necessary cutouts of ports and speaker, and would allow docking the keyboard without removing the sleeve.
Except, they are ALL unavailable on Amazon.com, and I can't find any of these anywhere else.
Only thing available are the kind of sleeves/cases which cover the front side areas of the tablets which to me, is a no go as these can not be used alongside a dock ; or those like the MiniSuit which doesn't have a stand for the tablet alone.
Worse than that, the same thing goes for the screen shields ! It's impossible to get one here in Canada.
I can't wait to start using my tablet all the time (and get rid of my aging netbook) but I'm just too afraid to scratch it.
Really frustrated at this situation. And I did spend at least 4-5 hours in the past 2-3 days researching all the above.
Have been checking out the Gumdrop Droptech cases for a while.
I like their ruggedness.
I need something I can use at work in an industrial environment.
Today I saw they had the case for the TF201 Prime on pre-order.
Ordered one straightaway.
Hope they start production soon.

very nice looking, I need something like this so I can let my kids use my prime. I called to see when it would be available. The customer service lady I talked to put me on hold to ask the designer when it would be available. He said towards the end of April. I probably wont pre-order but I will definitely be keeping an eye on this.

The more people that pre-order. The sooner production will start.
So if you are willing to buy eventually, why not pre-order now?
Nice looking case, but $60? I could see spending that for a case that covers the dock as well, or at least works with it. Their competition makes ipad cases that look almost identical for less than half the price...

I wont pre-order because the only thing keeping this case from being perfect is the lack of a stand. I watch ALOT of movies. So I will wait until it's actually available before i put my money on it. I was told towards the end of april, which sounded pretty firm. If that time comes and I still haven't found a good case then I will buy it.
The whole idea of getting enuff preorders in sounds good but I'm pretty sure a lot of prime owners have trouble beleiving a preorder will ever be fullfilled. Kinda like the champaign prime I ordered from best buy lol

I put in my order. I need a rugged case. I hope it comes sooner than end of April though. I emailed trident and they replied they would not be making a case. Doesn't look like otterbox will either. So this is my only hope. Does anyone know of a different hardcore case like this out now?

I would LOVE to get that case but the 60 bucks is making me second guess. Will probably wait until some people around here get them or I read a few reviews on how it looks and works with the Prime before I do anything. Thanks for the heads up though
If the designer can produce something close in terms of aesthetics, then I'm onboard.
I really appreciate the thickness and masculinity that this case appears to provide for the TFP.
$60 really isn't that bad, considering a standard Otterbox Defender series case is $50.

Gumdrop did not post my review
I tried to post a less than stellar review of the case and Gumdrop did not post it. The screen protector makes the screen not very responsive so I have removed the screen protector to get the responsiveness I wanted. Just a heads up that they censor the reviews on the website. I give the case 2 stars.
This case looks very bulky and uber pricey too. Sort of takes away from the whole ethos of wafer thin tablet aswell.
Damn..that's a sick looking case. Wonder how much weight it adds to the tab.
