I currently use Go Launcher and Go SMS and am noticing that when I go to the Go Store using their app my phone reboots. Has anyone else had this problem?
Never had that issue because "Go" apps suck!

Please give me some of what you're smoking brother! Go launcher and go sms are god awful! To each their own though. Hey, as long as you like it I'm happy. I'm just not a fan. I prefer adwEX myself and sometimes launcher pro. I do feel like go launcher is a bit of a resources hog but idk.

I'm having the same issue. I don't need go store anyway. I wish I could disable or hide that thing.
Have tried reinstalling, wiping app data. Nothing seems to prevent the go store from restarting the phone. Not even sure what causes it.
Go launcher is eye candy. But there go store is crap. Handscent is way better then go sms
Can we please stop reviewing the launcher? Its not relevant to this thread.
The OP (and I) are interested in if anybody else has this issue and if there is a known solution to it.
I hid the go store link in the app drawer, so that helps avoid it for the most part. There is still a link in launcher UI, but its hidden away enough I don't trigger it normally.
But yeah, a fix would be great.

Why not email the devs asking for a fix? What can people here do?

Because the whole point of the XDA forums is to have community feedback. And I reported this bug via the bug reporting link in the launcher UI, but it certainly doesn't hurt to see if other users have this problem and if they found some workaround/fix on their own.
In fact, that's what a lot of threads on XDA are about. Community problem solving. If you have a problem with that, XDA isn't for you.

Your name is multi dev yet you haven't developed anything lol. Wouldn't a "multi dev" be able to fix it himself? I'm just asking. So far only 3 people have reported this go launcher problem on photon and that clearly isn't the "community" right? And yes my intelligence is definitely superior I'm Kenny powers. Yeah, this guy is obviously a troll. Should have realized it earlier.
Anyway, got a reply back from Go people. They are looking into it. Not sure if that is a generic response or not, but I gave them the my ROM information and what not. Also said that jokers ROM doesn't have the issue.

I've had the same issue as well. I use Go launcher and ADWex and they BOTH have their strengths and weaknesses. And kenny, while I appreciate some of your contributions to the community, you do come across in this thread as, let's just say, less than helpful. The OP asked a legitimate question about a very popular launcher and regardless what you personally feel about it, you should try to be as helpful as possible. Anyone can say "DELETE IT BECAUSE IT SUCKS", but the reason we visit these forums is to share our interests and help people or to get help ourselves. The next time you have a question, would you like some honest help or the replies you gave?

Not to be mean, but I can honestly say out of the 100+ people I know that use go launcher none of them have had this issue... it sounds like you have something installed conflicting with go launcher..

Install Facebook 1.5.2 it doesn't need GPS to work. Its an old version but atleast you won't need an extra app or the ugly icon in ur status bar.

I did search. I used the "search this forum" at the top. Two results came up, this thread and another just like it, without any information on how to make it work. I'm not going to search for hours in detailed advanced searches and read every post in an "issues" thread. If the search cannot find it, then I ask about making it work.
Certainly no-one held a gun to your head and made you come in here to read it.....
Just use the website. It works great as it actually is more usable thanks to its tablet formatting.
The newest version of the facebook app for Android looks like the old one for the iPhone right?
If you look in Development there is one that has a nicer icon.

Why would u want to use the FB app when u can just use the actual website which is much better than any of the apps
So I couldn't find a solution to my problem, when I receive a picture it shows as a video. I'm running unnamed. Is there a mod or something to fix this?

the only real fix to this is to use a different SMS/MMS app. i prefer GOSMS Pro, over anything else.
its just the way the stock messaging app works, only way around it is through a third party app.
Go SMS Pro is much better then the stock sms/mms app
Holy crap! I just answered this very same question in another thread maybe 5 threads above this. How many times is this going to be asked? I'm too lazy to check which thread was first and I will admit that the XDA search feature is a bit annoying to use, but for FFS! Now I see why the older members are always *****ing.
That said, I will add substance to this post. I just switched to Go SMS Pro this morning and have to second the suggestion for it. It has been working fine for MMS and they come across just as expected.

Ugh, another one of these threads? Thats what the search button is there for. The stock messaging app from Samsung uses the video viewer to view all multimedia, so that includes pictures. If you want pictures to come up in the gallery, I suggest you replace the Samsung MMS.apk with the AOSP MMS.apk.
Also, calling people a **** for telling you what to do or look for (while it may not be the answer that you were looking for) is not the way to get anything around here... and it will get you an infraction/ban if kept up.

Yea, there are a few that do this, Im not sure if they are still around, give me a bit (later today) and I will see if I can find something.
In the mean time, check if AppBrain has this functionality.
When I had my iphone (4 yrs ago) I had an app called "Appsniper". It watched apps I selected and alerted me of discounts.

How else is it going to notify you of the apps that are on sale? Can't do it if it is not running.
Since I have apple and android, I use a site call appaggie. I use the RSS feeds to alert me.

I'd rather the app notify me in the notification bar or just when I log in the app rather than it start at boot... many apps don't need to run at boot but still push notifications to you. Draw something the game for instance...

Yes I get your point. Maybe it is a funding issue. Using airpush or similiar if there is one may be an extra cost to the developer. Hopefully it is a route that more developers will use in the future.

Just thought I'd let you folks know about Contacts+ , the contacts app I'm using on my stock now.
It is totally packed with features (chiefly, integration with social networks, WhatsApp integration and smart ordering), looks absolutely lovely, and just elevates the Android experience when using a smartphone.
As an added bonus, it pimps out your SMS and call log appearance and functionality as well.

Well you posted the message with a Nexus 4 not a Note 2 from Verizon, and the app has tons of bad reviews which have the same problems. So either your the dev and your making money money off of it or your just out of country and decided not to take your Verizon Note 2 and are one of the few people not having problems with the app.

I'm just wondering where you're coming from. You have to admit, it looks suspect that your only like is from the app developer.
I appreciate you trying to contribute - nothing wrong there. However, some of your previous efforts were in bad taste, I.e. -- posting other's work without credit. It seems you're trying a different approach now, so I can appreciate that.

I have no dog in this fight, but having tinkered with this app for a bit, it actually does have some pretty nice features. Seems like the devs put a lot of thought into how SMS, phone and contacts interact...quite intuitive. I will definitely give it a few days of testing.

It looks like it has potential. I couldn't uncheck the box that makes it my default sms app so I deleted it for now. I'll try it again later.
I don't think it was syncing with my facebook very well either. It only synced 19 contacts

You can turn sms off inside the contacts+ app. Thats what I did

For real this post belongs in the android app development section. These themes and app threads aren't meant for people to promote their app. You might not be the developer but judging by the fact the thread is almost identical makes it look the the dev is trying to advertise their app, and this isn't the place at all. There are people that are actually taking their time and making mods/themes and all the threads keep getting pushed to the bottom of the list because of threads like this. I posted a themed app last night and its sad that its 10 posts below this already. If people want an alternate contacts app they will do what everyone else does, and search the playstore, not come to a device specific thread looking for a copy/pasted review of the app. At least you didn't completely kang this particular developers work like your aosp browser/mms/miui music threads.
