Using Rom Manager I tried flashing clockworkmod recovery onto my Atrix. I am rooted, but my bootloader is not unlocked. From what I have read, the bootloader needs to be unlocked before flashing clockworkmod recovery will work properly.
How can I undo my attempt to flash clockworkmod recovery and go back to the stock recovery?

you should be fine if the bootloader is locked you can't flash recovery without it being signed.
I get Failed to boot 2 when I try to boot into recovery.
That happened to me. Just run the unlock command from adb and it will boot normally. Then you can flash clockwork recovery. That or load a stock sbf, which is what I did the first time I got that error.

You have to unlock the bootloader first in order to flash clockworkmod recovery though right?
Would loading a stock sbf put the phone completely back to stock?

Download moto-fastboot-win32.zip (assuming you're on Windows) from this thread (at bottom of first post): moto-fastboot-win32.zip
1. Extract it.
2. Open command prompt and set the directory to where the files are extracted to. (cd /d "directory within quotes")
3. Power down your phone then hold the volume down button and power on the phone till fastboot appears at the top of the screen, then press volume up, make sure it says something like "Starting Fastboot Protocol".
4. Plug in phone to computer
5. Then type moto-fastboot erase recovery.
6. Now your recovery is erased from the phone.

Came with the 1.13 system software release.
Personally, I always prefer to pull files from their original source rather than some random person.
RUU .exe and .zip files are hosted here: http://www.goo-inside.me/shooter/ruu . You can extract the boot image from inside of the 1.13* PG86IMG.zip inside of the firmware.zip file.
Hope that helps!

I know it says for htc unlocked phones, but the process of unrooting is the same. Just use the 1.13.651.7 RUU, after it flashes go to fastboot and type:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
and you're done.

Possible file corruption. Download again from another source, and if it keeps happening then extract the .img files and flash from fastboot in this order:
boot, system, userdata, recovery
and see if that fixes it.
Still didn't work is there another way

i just did this 5 minutes ago. i ran the ruu.exe while my phone was in hboot and it didnt even check my current version, worked perfectly, you need to "fastboot oem lock" first though. i was getting errors when i tried to run the ruu while in the android system.
now im trying to figure out how to re-unlock it
edit... wow, that was so easy, i just typed "fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin"
unlocked again
i had the same problem but i got the ruu to run now im updated but now the unlocking is being a ***** (cannot load 'Unlock_code.bin') is what it keeps saying

Ok this might seem dumb but did you type it exactly as I have it in the post above yours, its case sensitive and it needs the _ between the unlock_code. And fastboot oem unlock isn't a valid fastboot command.
Also, which ruu did you use, I think this matters, I used the 2.17 from here http://www.filefactory.com/f/4ef0ef536face67a/
I think its the 7th one down.

Un rooting won't be enough, the update will fail since you flashed amon recovery.

Yes, go ahead and use that tool, it has an option to re lock. There will be no consequences.. Once you lock and run the RUU, it will set your phone to stock everything.
So then you will need to unlock again and flash amon recovery again then flash your favorite rom if you choose.
All of these things you can do using that all in one tool that you had linked. Good luck!

To be honest bud I don't use the toolkit never have.. and have never had to have anybody I helped use it.. I do everything manually it honestly just as easy once you learn it.. you seem to be having a lot of trouble due to your lack of knowledge.. go to Htcdev.com and create an acct (if you haven't already) and click on unlock bootloader.. accept agreements.. and proceed it'll give you step by step instructions on how to install android SDK. You can open the command prompt from within the folder you unzipped when performing the unlock by pressing shift and right clicking
Power off your phone. Power your phone on by holding power and volume down.
Highlight 'Fastboot' the volume buttons then press power to "select".
Plug your phone into your PC and open a Command Prompt. (windows XP - Click Start > Run > type CMD in box then press OK; Windows 7 - Click Start > type CMD in search box then press Enter) Change directory to your folder where we put fastboot files by typing cd c:\fastboot for example.*
*Alternatively, you can just hold down shift and right click in the folder and select "open command window here".
Type this into your command prompt window: fastboot oem lock
at least that's how I think it works
good luck!
