One more thing - as soon as there's a custom recovery installed on the phone be sure to make a backup of the ROM **BEFORE** wiping anything. If something should go sideways you'll need the backup to restore phone to its original state. I haven't found anywhere to download T-Mo's official ROM.

I'm running MiniCM7-2.0.7 on my Xperia Mini, and my questions are:
1. Battery consumption has gone seriously uphill ever since I installed MiniCM7. Anything that can be done?
2. I tried installing a few other ROMs, but none worked, and it said installation was aborted. (I tried cm_mimmi and srom) Is this a problem with the kernel? What can be done now, because I want to use some other ROMs and check them out. Also, suggest ways to get back to the original ROM.
3. I tried installing GingerDX earlier (before CM7) and it didn't work, and that eventually bricked my phone, and I had to get it fixed. How can I get it to work now?
PLEASE HELP!
What are you using for bootloader CMW? if not try first to install this instead of xrecovery :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106146&highlight=clockwork+recovery

I'm using ClockworkMod recovery
And the link you gave, says the recovery is only for Mini Pro. The thing is, if I hadn't bricked my phone twice already, I would have done it without thinking much. But now, I'm scared about the results
Can you precise your phone model, version of CMW and your rom?

MiN, clipped stock rom
ok guys... im an idiot...
i was rooting my friends Sg2 (which was running stock gingerbread and bought in Aus.) and using odin and i flashed a CF root kernel XW CLK KF3 but after it booted back into the stock rom i forgot to use Superoneclick to root it....
I skipped straight to the next step which was to use CWM to flash the latest nightly build of Cyanogen Mod.... obviously that didn't quite go as planned..
now, i can still boot into CWM and download mode but im not sure what to flash so i can boot the phone and run Superoneclick and finish loading on a new OS...
also, i have no way to put files on the phone so i assume ill have to use ODIN...
PLEASE HELP!
if you have flashed CF-root kernel, then forget superoneclick you have alreay rooted..
you can flash a stock ICS ROM, since your next target is CM9

Hi,
i have a rooted xperia u with a LOCKED bootloader. I want to flash a custom rom to my phone, and after hours of reading, i figure that flashing CWM and using ROM manager is the easiest method, because to the best of my understanding, that method allows me to do everything with the app interface, without having to mess about in the recovery much, and since im a noob, id rather stick to the app interface.
Since i cant install CWM from rom manager itself as my device isnt supported, can i use recoverX to install CWM to my phone which has a locked bootloader, and then use rom manager to flash a custom rom?
Just install cwm.. Rom manager Is not required.. Just use cwm to flash zips.. It has a ui of its own.. And flash custom Roms which are for locked bootloader!!

Before trying any new Rom u should take "Backup" of your old Rom using Custom Recovery. If u have taken the Backup of ur Rom then only U can Restore frm Backup/Restore optn of the custom recovery.
And in case u have not taken the backup and u got stuck then NO need to Worry. U can flash Stock Rom of Canvas HD anytime using FlashTool.

i tried flashing boot.img only from stock & costume rom's & again no success :crying:
is it possible that the problem is from the hardware not software?
Can't be hardware issue if you succeeded to flash via spft
