ok guys... im an idiot...
i was rooting my friends Sg2 (which was running stock gingerbread and bought in Aus.) and using odin and i flashed a CF root kernel XW CLK KF3 but after it booted back into the stock rom i forgot to use Superoneclick to root it....
I skipped straight to the next step which was to use CWM to flash the latest nightly build of Cyanogen Mod.... obviously that didn't quite go as planned..
now, i can still boot into CWM and download mode but im not sure what to flash so i can boot the phone and run Superoneclick and finish loading on a new OS...
also, i have no way to put files on the phone so i assume ill have to use ODIN...
PLEASE HELP!
if you have flashed CF-root kernel, then forget superoneclick you have alreay rooted..
you can flash a stock ICS ROM, since your next target is CM9

Hi
I recently got the Samsung Galaxy S2 and upgraded to ICS via odin.
I HATE the Samsung Touch Wiz UI so I wanted to flash the Spike Pure ICS ROM - v7.2
I followed every step on this tutorial http://www.theandroidsoul.com/pure-ics-rom-android-4-0-3-for-galaxy-s2-i9100/ a zillion times but dint help!
I get my phone n ICS - root is successful; but every time i flash to the Spike Pure ICS ROM i brick my phone and get a message - KERNEL UPLOAD PANIC MODE
can someone please help me out?
My Android version is 4.0.3 and build number is ICS.XXLP2
If there is another ROM with pure ICS i can flash easily with odin.. or any other help I would be very glad..
thanks
after wiping all from CWM, flash a GB stock rom from ODIN,
then root it with CF-root, then install your favourite ROM

TAR will be the CF root
Not rom loader app....from CWM, after you flash CF-root, you will get an application called CWM open that and select reboot into Clockworkmod, then you will get Clockworkmod recovry from there you have to do wipes/installs...
see what is downloadmod and recoverymod in my signature....

Look for a torrent link then
What's wrong with using cwm? You'd probably need one once you root.

Hi,
i have a rooted xperia u with a LOCKED bootloader. I want to flash a custom rom to my phone, and after hours of reading, i figure that flashing CWM and using ROM manager is the easiest method, because to the best of my understanding, that method allows me to do everything with the app interface, without having to mess about in the recovery much, and since im a noob, id rather stick to the app interface.
Since i cant install CWM from rom manager itself as my device isnt supported, can i use recoverX to install CWM to my phone which has a locked bootloader, and then use rom manager to flash a custom rom?
Just install cwm.. Rom manager Is not required.. Just use cwm to flash zips.. It has a ui of its own.. And flash custom Roms which are for locked bootloader!!

If you are intending to flash a new custom rom staight away their is no need to root your phone because custom roms come already rooted. Also if you install PhilZ recovery it as a option to fix root in settings just select the option reboot then download supersu from play store done.

Bro, can you tell me step by step..
Please I need help, thanks.
I mean clear data, wipe cache and etc etc...
Also, will this brick the phone?
I am very afraid...
Also can you provide me where i can get latest ROM?
U can find the latest firmware at Sam mobiles select your region and download.
U should also need Odin to flash the stock firmware.
After downloading the ROM put your phone in download mode and flash the ROM.
After or before flashing, factory reset all your data so that the kitkat ROM can boot.
