[Q] Xperia freezes on startup image! - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hello, ive searched enought to find the right place to post so sorry if this place is not the right one..
I just reseted my xperia, rooted it and deleted some system apps. Im sure that i deleted the right things! I turned off the mobile but now for a strange reason when turning it on it freezes to the startup se image..Ive tried many times and it wont go on..I dont know how to reset it via se pc companion, it requires to connect it via its screen but i cant do this since my phone is always stuck..Is there an other way to reset it without having my mobile being turned on? I dont know what to do, my mobile is totally useless atm so please tell me if theres a solution, thank you.

Start the "companion", seus. Press support zone, find repair option, simple. Follow instructions. I think i remember it to be, press and hold back button, while connecting it too pc...but just follow the directions there.

completley idiotic mistake i replaced all my system apps to there defaults again without changing file permission ....
I understand you do not have xrecovery installed. Reflash phone
ok i have no idea to do that considering i can't get my fone off... it's stuck in the loop cheers for that well thought out answer that gave no help at all
Take out the battery, put it back in and don't turn it on.
Use Sony Ericsson PC Companion and follow the onscreen instructions to restore your phone.
Also, YOU are the one with the problem, so if someone tries to help you don't be rude please.
Have tied to remove your batt?
hey guys think i have it fixed via update service thanks anyways

[Q] Bricked my phone after trying to root it =S

Hey guys
So, i decided to try and root my phone and i think i cleverly chose to use a really old method and subsequently my phone is now pretty much bricked. It used to be software V2.1
now, whenever i turn it on (I need to take out the battery and put it back in to restart it) It goes to the sony ericsson splash screen, then a "MTT Docomo" screen and then the screen turns blank and stays like that. I got halfway through a guide i found somewhere on the internet and now this is happening D=
I can't repair it in the sony ericsson pc suite (it detects a phone but asks me to connect it etc. which i can't do).
I've read a bit around and i think the answer is using flashtools? Can i still do that when my phone's in this state? Sorry if this is a common question, couldn't find any similar cases though =S I'm not completely sure what to do... any suggestions?
Thanks!
yes, you're right, my opinion is you must have to flash your phone properly with a clean stock rom before retry to flashing your phone another time.
And to make it properly is to use flashtools method (see thit link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343, there is a perfect tuto made for that)
And you could also use the root function included in Flashtool if you still want to root your phone
You should still be able to repair w/SEUS ("pc suite") or use flashtool.
X10 is pretty unbrickable.
To get into flash mode in your phone's current state take out the battery, connect the usb, hold the back button, and then replace the battery.
Hope this helps.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies!
I went through the flashing guide above and managed to get my phone working again (you were right, i could still start it up in flash mode if i took out the battery etc. first), and rooting it was pretty easy =)
Thanks again guys, the forum's a great resource.

[Q] {HELP} another x10 stuck at se boot

hi guys. my x10 froze at se boot and does nothing. i've read through almost all helpfull threads that are similar to my problem but the problem still persist. fyi, i booted to xrecovery, made a backup and i noticed that there were problems in backing up (md5 chcksum, i think). but the backup file was created. i restored using that file and now it is stuck at boot. i can't even turn the phone off. i've tried hard reset, tried using the sues, flashtoo and even pc tools but to no avail. this is due to the phone can't connect to usb. can anyone please help me.
You have do a factory reset and wipe cache?
how can i do that andres3d? are there any way for me to do that? i'm trying but the phone just can't go past the se boot. it's just stuck there. i can't even turn the phone off. the only way is to take out the battery.
Try this, enter into xrecovery and select "factory resect" first at all, then reboot.
I got stuck there too, and I haven't the xRec installed
You can download the SE Update Service (SEUS) and flash the original rom back to it.
Download the software and install, take off the battery, wait a little bit (30s or so), insert the battery back. DO NOT TURN ON THE PHONE YET.
Open the SEUS, choose the phone (X10) and click 'go', or 'ok', or whatever. Keep going and the software will tell you to plug the phone. Plug the phone turned off. When it's plugged, turn it on holding the back button until the software tells you to release.
Wait a few moments... and it's done. Turn on your phone, it should take a little longer to boot, but it's just the first time, then it boots normally.
It's quite easy to do when you know what to do
thanks in advance but i've tried both method and it still got me nowhere. first, i can't boot to xrecovery at all and second, the sues doesn't even detect my phone.
Did you try download a stock firmware from here and install by flashtool?
Do you have installed drivers from x10 to your PC?
I thing the only way is by flashtool, because you don't have xrecovery access l.

Your phone must be charged ¬¬
Leave him charging at wall for about 45-60min and then try to do the step-by-step

Hi all
Unfortunetly my case is 99% similiar as "Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10XPERIA X10 Q&A[Q] {HELP} another x10 stuck at se boot" but changing the cables doesn't help. The only thing which the phone respond is to hold back starting of booting what immidietly happening when i'm connecting the usb cable.
I had xrecover installed before but is not starting onto flashing mode.
Any ideas

hello everybody. my english is verry bad, but i am gong to trie as good as i can.
I rooted my phone and installed xrecovery and i put a rom on the sd card. i started up my phone and the lanugh was chains or somhething. it was imposible to understand but i found english(united kingdom) when i started up my phone. i started up a program just to test that everything worked. everything seemed to work exept the buttons on the mobile. so my phone is on and running a program and i cant go back/ shut down my phone and i have searched on this forum on how i can repair this ****...... i realy need my phone beacuse i am studing.
i hoped sombody can help me
Try putting off your battery, then you turn on again and use xrecovery to Factory Reset, or even you can wait your battery deplete, so you charge it, then make a SEUS repair (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zS2LIuy6YfY) it will probably save your life, if not. I'm sorry, you bricked your phone forever.
i tried to do as told on the link you gave me(youtube link) but i cant turn of the phone on step 3(beacuse no buttons work so i cant turn the phone of......) but the battery is twist firmly so how can i take it out and take it back in the ****ing phone? i am starting to be pissed on my self here now... mabye i shold go and get the axe and crhus the phone?
If it is your last option search on google: "ifix xperia x10 mini dissemble (sorry I forgot if its dissemble or dissamble)" it will teach you how to open you battery package, but it's very very very very very very very very very very hell dangerous to do if you are unexperienced... Im on cellphone, so I dont remember the complete url so I posted the google search.

can
anybody shed some light on what to do that s not going to cost me any money,

Tubby,
Moved it to the right forum for you buddy.
Why you can't ask him? At least ask him to put the password and then you deactivate the security lock.

Oh, really sorry. Really, really sorry, I didn't get at first. Sometimes my english is awful. Do you know if he had recovery installed? Try to reboot in recovery and do a backup in case you want to keep any app or it's configs.. Then enter factory reset, reboot phone. Everything right, install App Extractor and recover the apps you want from the recovery.
In case he hadn't any recovery, I think the only option is reinstall Android, using SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service).
Again, sorry for the thing I said in my earlier post.
